Chapter 4

**Allesandro

**

I had to bite back a growl when we arrived at the Crimson Peak territory. Not because of the wolves. Because I didn’t want anyone looking at my mate. We were greeted by Jaxson and his father.

“You made it.” Jaxson remarked.

“I did. This is Cilia, my mate.”

My brother cleared his throat.

“My apologies, this is our mate.”

“Mates?” Jaxson’s father asked.

“Yes, mates. As in more than one.”

Jaxson and his father led us up to the pack house and into his office. I pulled her close and whispered. “Go with my brother. I have some things to discuss with my friend.”

Not only were the witches still at it.

They had also brought back Duke.

Plus, Alpha Lorenzo was out to get Lana.

I waited until my brother and Cilia were out of the room to say. “So, it’s true?”

Jaxson clenched his fists. “The bastard just won’t stay dead thanks to the witches.”

“And Lana, how is she?” I asked.

“She’s due to give birth in a few weeks.”

I glanced around the room to see we were missing someone. Cole was nowhere in sight. Not that I blame him. He hates me. I didn’t care.

“Where’s Cole?”

Jaxson pinched the bridge of his nose and blew out a harsh breath. “Where do I even start?”

“Long story short, he found his mate and he’s recovering from the attack.” Jaxson’s father said.

“Oh yeah, the attack. But he found his mate? That’s great news.”

“Not quite.” Jaxson murmured.

I cocked my head to the side and raised a brow.

“Natalia is his mate.” Jaxson murmured.

I chuckled. “Damn.”

“She’s been… difficult.” Jaxson’s father added.

“Ok, on to other news. What’s the plan?” I was ready to get back on my land so I could devour my brother and I’s sweet little mate.

“So, here’s the plan. I was thinking in a few weeks you start training Lana. Of course, under my supervision.”

“I can come by a few days after she has the baby.”

“That sounds good. I…”

Jaxson’s eyes flashed crimson and he stumbled back, holding his abdomen.

“What is it, son?”

“Lana, It’s too early. She can’t be having the baby now.” Jaxson whimpered.

Jaxson’s father steadied him. “It’s okay, son. This is normal.”

Well, I guess training will start sooner than I expected.

“Go to her, son. I’ll escort Alessandro to his room.”

Jaxson stormed off in search of Lana, leaving it just Jaxson’s father and myself. He put his arm over his shoulder and sighed. “Lana tried to tell him, but his stubborn ass wouldn’t listen. She’s been having pains since yesterday evening. He told her it was just gas.”

I snorted. “Tell me he didn’t say that. I can’t even…”

“He did.”

Jaxson’s father led me up the stairs and stopped at the door at the end of the hall. “I figured you would want to have your privacy. You know, just in case…”

“Thanks. So, I’m assuming I’ll be staying the night or until we can further discuss the plan to take these motherfuckers down.”

“Yes. I’ll find your brother and your mate and send them up. I know you’re probably ready to relax.”

“Could you maybe have some food brought up? Our mate is probably famished.”

“Of course. It’s really good to see you again. Although, I wished it was under different circumstances.”

“I know.”

“Your parents would be proud of you. You’ve grown up to be such an amazing King.”

“The witches will pay. For everything.”

When I was just sixteen, the witches slaughtered my parents. I had to hide in the wine cellar with my brother and listen to their screams. They slaughtered thousands. Vampires. Women. Children. Innocent. They didn’t know I survived until I claimed the throne as King.

Jaxson’s father took my hand and squeezed it. “We’ll get them. All of them will die at our hands. Then, your parents can rest in peace.”

*“Baby, I need you to run and hide.”

“Mama, no. I can’t…”

“Take your brother and run. Hide. An no matter what, don’t come out until Jaxson’s father comes to get you. Promise me. No matter what you hear, don’t come out.”

“Mama…”

I held the tears back and shook my head, shutting my eyes. She clamped her hands down on my shoulders and shook me. “Promise me!”

“Ok, mama.” I whispered.

“Go now. They’re close. Remember your papa and I love you. Always.”

I ran down the corridor and grabbed my brother by the wrist. “We have to go. Now.”

“Wait! What’s happening?”

“Wine cellar. Mama says we have to go now and not come out until Jaxson’s father comes for us.”

My brother ran and did as mama said. We huddled in the corner and held our hands over our ears. I could hear the screams. Mama. Papa. Thousands of our people. Our family. I couldn’t hold the tears back any longer. I covered my mouth to muffle my cries.

“Allesandro, are you okay?” Jaxson’s father asked, bringing me out of my thoughts.

“I’m fine.” I murmured. “Just lost in my thoughts.”

No lost in thoughts.

More like memories.

Memories that I wanted to forget.

“I’ll leave you to it then. Your brother and mate should be up soon.”

A few moments later, my brother entered the room. I smelt her before I saw her. Jaxson’s father took that as his cue to take his leave. Cilia knelt at my feet and peered up offering herself. I took her by the wrists and pulled her to her feel.

“My sweet mate, I’ve missed you so.”

“I’ve missed you too, Master.”

My brother stood behind her and pushed her hair to the side. He brushed his lips against her neck and sunk his teeth into her neck. I kissed her hard and groaned. “I need a taste too, love.”

I brought her wrist to my mouth and sunk my teeth into her delicate skin. So sweet. Divine. Perfectly aged and so damn good.

“Masters, please.”

My brother pulled away and ran his tongue over her neck to clean the blood.

“Get on the bed, love. We need you now.”
