Chapter 14

Faith's POV

"Such a fucking nuisance" I muttered in annoyance while I was driving. I was heading over to the park and purposely chose to go late but now I regret it as this piece of shit was now texting me again and again annoying the crap out of me. I finally reached the park and parked my car outside. I wore my sunglasses and stepped out of the car, walking towards the park. I felt many eyes on me and rolled my eyes at the guys who were checking me out. Fucking assholes.

I trailed my eyes around the park and stopped when I saw a tall figure helping a child on a swing. I sighed and slowly approached them standing behind the two. "Mommy...Mommy" the kiddo yelled, recognizing me and making me want to cover my ears. Atlas turned around and gave me a small smile which I did not return. I felt two tiny arms wrap around my leg making me look down. He gave me a wide smile showing some of his baby teeth. He was cute...ugh. I quickly looked away and glared at Atlas. "I fuc- bloody told you I will come so why were you continuously texting me while I was driving" I hissed in anger. He chuckled shaking his head side to side making me frown in confusion. "What's so funny?" I asked him confused. "You look so hot when you are an angry angel.." he said with a smile. I gave him a blank and walked closer to him causing him to wipe his smile. "Never call me an angel" I hissed and moved back to which he looked at me with pain and wet eyes which he blinked away.

I kept feeling the tiny hands on my leg which were now getting annoying. "I miss you, mommy...yu (you) pway (play) with me mama?" he asked with his cute baby voice. I gave the kiddo a blank look and bent down to reach his height. He giggled and cupped my cheeks making me soften my face. I then froze realizing what was happening. This little kiddo was weakening me. I scoffed at that thought and gave the child a serious face. "Listen Kiddo....I am not your mommy ok?...now be a good boy and go back home with your daddy" I said in a blank tone. I know you don't speak with a child like this but I had lost my feelings, my emotions after what happened years ago.

"Fai....what the hell" Atlas hissed. I looked back at him and glared now standing up. "What?...the kid needs to know the truth. Stop hurting that kid and stop lying to him because when he grows up, you will one day need to tell him about his mother" I spat the word mother. He gave me a hurtful look and grabbed my waist pulling me towards him. He gave me an angry look, his eyes trailing all over my face which later softened. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. "Please angel, P-please....I was the one who hurt you, who betrayed you but that child has no mistake in this, he is innocent, he craves for a mother's love" he said with a shaky voice. I slightly pushed him away from me and glanced at the kid who was now looking at us with confusion by tilting his little head to the side. He was a carbon copy of his father but his eyes were like hers.

"If you are so desperate for your kid to have a mother's love...then go and find someone else who is willing to do so...because I am not taking this burden on my head" I said with a calm but cold tone. "He is not a burden Fai...he is my son..my son...our son," he said softly at the end. I scoffed and looked at him with disbelief. "You are so deluded Mr Williams....you act as if I gave birth to him when it was your wife. Such a selfish bastard you are. Now that she is out of your life...you are trying to involve me in your issues as you can't take care of him yourself?" I spat. Atlas looked at me, taken aback. "No Fai...No....I don't need a woman to take care of my son...he is my blood but what I do need is your love....you...and only you" he whispered and took my hands into his. "Fai I.....I don't know what to do for you to give me a chance...I-" "Stop trying" I cut him off to which he widened his eyes. "Stop trying Mr. Williams.....I'm fed up with you pestering me all the time. I'm not coming back....we are done and this is the last time I'm going to say this" and with this said I left him and the kid behind ignoring the kid's cries. I felt a pang of hurt hearing his cry's but shrugged it off.

"Mommy....Mommy" he cried. I tightly closed my eyes and reopened them, getting into my car. I took off my sunglasses and restarted my car. I took a last glance at the park and saw the kid with red eyes and tears falling out of his eyes, his arms reaching out for me as he cried madly while Atlas tried to calm him down.

I sat there for a few seconds feeling bad. I pulled on my hair in frustration and groaned getting out of the car and storming towards the father and son. Atlas looked at me with shock while the kid cried even louder attracting all the attention of the public. I took the kid from his arms and slowly rocked him back and forth to which he calmed down. He nuzzled his face into my neck, causing it to get wet. "Shhhh...I'm here...don't cry" I whispered not knowing how to calm a crying child. He sniffled and slowly his sobs died down. I looked at Atlas who was looking at me with a soft expression....as if he was looking at us with love?.

"I wuve you mommy," the kid said in between his sniffles which melted my heart. I stayed there for a few more minutes until he fell asleep. I slowly handed the kid back to Atlas and sighed in exhaustion. I turned around to leave but was stopped "Wait" he called out quietly. I turned my head towards him, giving him a blank look, "Thank You" he said with a small smile. I gave him a stiff nod and walked off.

I just hoped this kid doesn't become my weakness.......
