4. And the clash begins.

Archie was now out of control. The demon inside of him was trying its best to come out and every effort to stop him was in vain. Niya thought again and again about how to avoid this clash because she knew she had no chance to win against him.

"I thought that as the queen I can change the rules. It is my right. Isn’t it?" She asked as politely as she could, wanting to end this chaos as soon as possible but nothing was helping.

He got angrier and slowly, his teeth elongated and sharpened. Niya's mind was unable to do anything and she completely accepted her defeat, closing her eyes to wait for the attack. But before she could feel any pain, she heard a loud thump and within no time, Archie was laying on the other corner of the room.

"Are you okay Niya?" A pair of dark blue eyes met with her brown ones and due to the utter shock, it took some time to recognize the person in front of her.

"Will? Oh yes, I…yeah…I’m fine." She stammered.

"How dare you punch me like this, you little dirty thing?" Archie stood up and within the very next second, his hand was on Will's collar.

"Easy sir! Calm down!" Will shoved off his hand. "My loyalty is towards my queen and I will kill anyone who will hurt her, even the king." Will tried hard to sound polite but failed.

"Guards!" Will shouted as loud as he could and five guards entered the room immediately.

"What the hell are you doing? Your job is to protect the queen, you failed miserably." Will questioned them in anger.

"Sorry, sir, we thought that King Everette was no danger to our queen." A tall man, who was head of the security, explained.

"Your duty is to protect the queen, not to decide who is dangerous to her or who is not! You are all fired. Please leave." Will ordered them and they left immediately.

Archie, who was listening to all of this silently, left the room in anger, while Niya, impressed with Will's caring attitude, silently observed his body language.

"You okay?" Will asked her again in a concerned tone.

"Calm down, Will, I’m fine." She assured him and gave him a glass of water to calm his nerves down.

"What is he?" She asked with suspicious eyes as she knew what kind of monster she had just witnessed but still wanted confirmation.

"What? They didn’t tell you?" Will choked a little on the water in shock.

"What? What they were supposed to tell me?" She asked as she felt that all her doubts were on the verge of turning into reality.

"Umm, sit, I'll explain." Will made her sit on the edge of the queen-sized bed. "They are…well, we all are vampires." He said with fixed eyes on her face

to see her reaction.

"Wow." She said with a poker face.

"You’re not shocked?" Will asked with confusion written all over his face.

"I was Niya Hemsworth, a simple seventeen-year-old girl who lost her parents in a car accident, and now, I am Niyanica, Queen Niyanica Hemsworth of Vamp Prime to be exact. What else could be more shocking? " A tear slipped through her cheek.

"Niya, do you miss your parents?" Will sat on his knees, on the floor near the bed, to reach her face and wipe her tears.

"A lot." She managed to speak only two words with a sharp pain in her heart.

"Do not react, just remain emotionless. I am going to tell you something. Your dad is alive." He whispered near her ears so that only she could hear, not wanting this information to reach the ears outside her room. She was jumping in her head with happiness. She wanted to scream but managed to control her emotions.

"Do not react. No one is trustworthy here, so do not trust anyone. It’s my birthday tomorrow, come to my house, I will tell you everything.'' He again whispered.

"Where is your house?" She asked without reacting much so no one could suspect their conversation.

"It’s in another city, your palace is in North Rose City and the prime minister resides in Valeri City, almost 2000 km from here." He smiled.

"Woah! 2000 km? Political and royal residences should be in the same city." She pouted to show her frustration.

"Royals and politicians are kind of rivals. They don’t like each other." He shrugged.

''That means I have to fight that monster again to attend your birthday party." She rolled her eyes.

He chuckled at her childish nature, "You just have to order him. You are the ultimate power." He smiled. "You have to arrive at Valeri at eleven sharp in the morning. You will get the answers to all of your questions. Now, I would like to take my leave, lots of preparations to do as it’s the first time a royal is going to visit the PM house." He bowed and left.

It was already two in the morning and Niya couldn’t sleep. She was on cloud nine after knowing her father was alive, too excited to know more about his whereabouts. But she didn’t want to put her expectations too high or anything. She didn’t trust William completely as he, like everyone else, was a stranger full of secrets. Heck, he warned her not to trust anyone here, and that included himself. Still, the simple thought that her dad may be alive… she could feel a knot forming in her throat.

She was still confused if all of this was a dream or not. She decided to pinch herself hard just to confirm and she let out a loud yelp due to the pain. Within the next second, seven bodyguards were in her room. All the faces were new, reminding her that Will had fired the old ones.

"Are you okay, Your Majesty?" One of them asked, watching every corner of the room carefully.

She was shocked. "Oh my God! What the fu-, warn a girl next time." She sighed.

"Our apologies, Your Majesty, but Prime Minister Nicholson has strictly ordered us to enter the room if we hear anything suspicious. We are only doing our duty." He explained. Once they confirmed that there was no danger, they bowed and left.

"What the hell?" She rolled her eyes and turned on the big TV on the front wall because she knew she wouldn’t be able to sleep at all.

*Finally, Queen Niyanica has awakened after so long. Everybody is excited to see their queen

The loud voice of a reporter filled her room and seeing the topic, she turned to the next channel.

Will the rivalry between the royals and the politicians end this year on the prime minister's birthday? Or will it get worse than before? Watch the discussion, tomorrow at twelve with me and An-

Another anchor shouted behind the TV screen, Niya turned it off in frustration.

Hmm, I’m kind of a big deal now, she thought, raising her eyebrows in shock. After some failed attempts to sleep, she finally slipped into a deep sleep.

"Your Majesty, your coffee." A voice broke Niya from her sleep and she opened her eyes. A beautiful pair of golden eyes were staring at her with a cup of coffee in their hands.

"Mrs. Galbraith, right?" Niya asked while yawning. Mrs. Galbraith smiled ear to ear.

"Yes! I mean, yes, Your Majesty." She said, blushing due to her excitement.

"Let me freshen up first." Niya went to the washroom.

Being the first time she had entered the room, she carefully observed her surroundings. And it was huge. A golden bathtub with a huge wall-sized mirror in front of it and all kinds of products were beautifully placed on the unlimited shelves around the walls. There were two silver chandeliers in the washroom, bathrobes were hanging inside a big cabinet, and so many bath oils were placed near the bathtub. Niya took a bath immediately and did her other morning routines. She came out of the washroom, wearing a light pink bathrobe.

"Mrs. Galbraith, I need some clean clothes." She requested while drying her hair with a blow-drier.

"There is a dressing room inside your washroom, Your Majesty. You will find all the things you need there." Mrs. Galbraith smiled as five ladies entered the room.

"We are here at your service, Your Majesty. Allow us to prepare you for breakfast." One of them said and curtsied.

"Okay, Miss...?" Niya raised a brow.

"Alyna Donovan, Your Majesty." She curtsied again.

"Ah! Alyna, would you please show me to the dressing room?" Niya asked excitedly. Finally, she was going to know the whereabouts of her dad today.

"This way, ma’am." Alyna took her through the washroom, and at the end, there was a door that was locked by a digital lock which Alyna enter a code for.

"Ma’am, please reset the password because only you can enter this room. Nobody is allowed here." She curtsied and left.

Niya reset the passcode to the last five digits of her previous mobile number and entered. She was shocked to see the view in front of her. A huge room, almost like another palace, was in front of her. Rows of gowns, dresses, pieces of jewelry, and anything she could imagine were placed there like some kind of mall. Winter clothes, summer clothes, and all the others were present there. Everything a girl needed was there. Hundreds of footwear, heels, and sandals were aligned beautifully. At the very back, Niya could see different sections for every designer crown. It was practically impossible to roam around alone in this room, she would get lost for sure.

On one of the main walls, she noticed a screen. Welcome, Your Majesty!, a computerized voice spoke as the screen came to life. Immediately, it presented different options of outfits to Niya. Selecting her favorite, a small robot approached her, carrying the outfit she had chosen. A beautiful knee-length black and gold dress with a diamond tiara and golden high heels.

Putting it on, she left the room and ten bodyguards followed her. She was not comfortable with this new change in her life, but one of the most difficult parts was having people follow her around every time she left her room. But, like everything else, she had no choice but to accept it.

She reached Zirconia Hall, where Archie and some others were already present there. Everybody bowed as she reached the head chair. She walked so gracefully, that she didn’t know if it was because she was actually born to do this or because of the many royal dramas she had seen. Once she sat on the chair, Archie approached her.

"Your Majesty! I want to introduce you to some special people." Archie cleared his throat, trying to act normal as if nothing had happened last night.

"Please." Niya nodded, smiling while on the inside she was scared as well as angry at him and was trying hard to hide her internal turmoil.

"My mother, even though she didn’t give birth to me, I love her more than anything in this world. Mrs. Everette." He side hugged a woman who was probably in her sixties with bluish-green eyes and pink plump rose, her green silk gown was perfect, complimenting her beauty. She bowed a little.

"You don't have to bow, please. You are much older than me." Niya smiled.

"Ah! And this is my best friend, and daughter of the governor of North Risley State, Elena Cooper." He introduced a girl, who looked to be in her early twenties, with beautiful black eyes that had an evil tinge in them. Her red jumpsuit completing the evil look she was going for. She just said "Hi" and didn’t bow.

"Miss Cooper, have some manners. I really do not like a mannerless person around me." Niya smirked and started eating her breakfast. Elena, understanding the queen’s not so hidden message, bowed.

"My apologies, Your Majesty." She left the room immediately.

"Archie, please be ready, we have to attend an important function today at eleven sharp." She told him while finishing up her meal. Archie was a bit shocked.

"Your Majesty, is it about PM's birthday?" He asked in confusion.

"Yes. Absolutely..." She finished her meal quickly and was about to leave the room.

"But ma’am… royals and politicians are not very good friends and it will be unwise to get the media’s attention before the coronation." He stood up and tried to explain the situation.

"I want to go. Be ready in an hour and meet me at the airport. Oh, and King Archie, I’m not asking, that is an order." She told him with no expressions, surprising herself on how naturally she was falling into this queen role and left the room.

After that, Elena entered the hall once again. "This girl is too much, Arch. Everybody is on her side now, you are just a sidekick in this whole situation. Please do something." Elena hissed full of jealousy and hatred, making sure those words only reached Archie’s ear.

"Don’t worry El, I will soon show her who’s got the real power here." Archie cracked the glass in his hand and glittery blood started to come out of the wound, dripping on the floor.
