2. Nicholas Rose

Nicholas Rose crossed the room to the glass double doors and stepped out onto the balcony. A wave of fresh air hit him, and he can already feel goosebumps starting to rise along his skin. He hooked his finger into the knot of his tie and started to loosen it. Despite the cooler breeze, it still felt like he can't catch his breath.

Another day of the interview. He would have asked someone else to take over for him, but that didn't work out well last time.

They needed a personal assistant who can handle all their whimsical demands and can not drop her pants at the sight of Alphas. It was a tough job to find an omega like that.

The thought itself made him pull the tie till it drooped around his collarbones and he unbuttoned the top two button of his shirt, gripping onto the railing as he dropped his head down. He had half a mind to splash some cold water on his face, but the Alpha resented using public bathrooms. The different scents were just too much for him.

He stepped towards the railing and raised a hand to rake through his hair, a sigh slipping from his thin lips.

Nicholas could see the Brooklyn bridge gleaming bright as a day, and for a split second, he didn't think about anything else. That's the entire reason he convinced his business partners to buy the whole building and make it their office.

The footsteps echoed behind him, and he didn't have to turn to know who the deep voice belonged to.

"The interviews will start in ten minutes."

Adrian Ferro, his business partner and a best friend, stood by his side. Both of them had to select a personal assistant by tomorrow so that they can fire the temp guy. He was untidy and messed up their schedules to almost cost them a deal.

Their Secretary can't handle everything so they needed a Personal assistant who can collarbativelty work for three of them.

"Let's go then" Nicholas sighed.

"Any updates about Eric?"

Adrian pressed his lips together, staring back at him. "You know how he gets during this time of the year. I'm sure he'll be back soon."

Nicholas nodded his head. He hoped that atleast Eric might have contacted Adrian and talked it out with him. Then again, he should know.

"Yeah, I hope so. The investors get angsty when one of us is missing for the meeting."

"Wait!" A foot jammed in the track of the closing door which was enough to reopen the doors.

Nicholas and Adrian stared at each other in confusion as a breathless unfamiliar omega stepped inside the elevator. The sight of her burned something inside him, like a familiar ache. He looked over at his best friend, who had the same expression on his face. What was this omega doing to them? They narrowed their eyes at her. Who was she? And why was she taking a private lift?

"Thanks" The unfamiliar omega smiled.

The thick scent of something delicate and flowery, precisely like the garden during springs surrounded the elevator.

Both of them stayed quiet. She turned towards the button panel to hit the desired floor but then stopped.

Her behaviour once the door closed suggested that she was running late as she nervously kept on shifting on her feet. Nicholas noticed her delicate hands failing in trying to find a place to put them when shes not adjusting some of her loose strands all over her face.

Adrian glanced back at him. It's a moment of shared thought. Unspoken but not needed to state because it's the same thing.

She was affecting both of them.

Sharing the elevator with a creature like her, someone so pure and unmarked gave them a sudden rush.

Nicholas couldn't help but rake his eyes over her. They had people coming up to them who dress to say they are professionals, successful, their style impeccable and neat.

The nervous omega seemed to be dressed opposite of that.

She was wearing a pair of dress shoes. They looked new. The brown leather was unmarked and tight around her feet, but she did not any socks under them. It was impossible to avoid noticing because her long legs are exposed, showing off that sun-kissed tan. Her skin was a toasty shade of golden.

Her jeans were ripped, which made him question if she really was applying for an interview. They didn't need that kind of outfit for corporate. Worst of all, they were so casually rolled and insanely tight around her. But the tightness of the fit showed how full her thighs were.

The only good thing about her was the professional beige jacket which she also ruined by rolling them up till her elbows. They were tailored to fit to her small stature.

The omega didn't utter a word, not even a greeting as she stood there. Her eyes were on the floor as they started travelling, lips folded together. When a sudden buzz went around, she looked up, her eyes wide. That's when Nicholas got a good look at her eyes.

She had cerulean blue, bright eyes, framed with lashes so lush and full that as she looked down, they fanned her cheeks. The omega was biting her full, round pink lips that added with her nervous fidgeting and fusing with her long hair.

Her dark chocolate colour long hair cascaded down her back, reaching till her waist.

The Alpha couldn't keep the dirty thought out of his mind as soon as his eyes fell on her full lips. He stared at Adrain, who had the same hungry look in his eyes. She would look incredible wrapped around their big, hard cocks. They both raised eyebrows at each other after those thoughts.

"Don't worry; it's the sound of a bell" Nicholas croaked in her direction.

She seemed alarmed than before, so he tried to ease her mind. The omega instantly sagged her shoulders, shooting a crooked smile in his direction.

As the elevator climbed more than a few floors, Nicholas noticed Adrian leaning towards her.

Adrian cleared his throat. "Uh...Are you lost, miss?"

Nicholas would have asked the same thing. She didn't look like the one to blend in with the corporate people.

Without looking up the omega giggled. They both stared at her. What's so funny about that?

Taking a deep breath, she lifted her head. Nicholas was lost for a moment, staring at the way her thick eyelashes kissed her cheekbones. She blinked oh so delicately.

"No, sir...Not lost. I have an interview today at nine. On the fiftieth floor with BEFORE."

Nicholas and Adrian checked each other's reaction with a simple, quick glance. They didn't want to give away too much.

Nicholas couldn't help but check at his watch. It was twenty minutes past nine. The candidates were supposed to be seated by nine in the morning.

"Oh so you're late" He licked his lips. "You're very late."

His business partner, Adrian hummed, agreeing with him.

"Tell me something I don’t know!” The omega huffed.

For the first time, Nicholas met someone, an omega who talked back to him. Without realising, he stared at her, trying to catch a thick whiff of her scent because she's just an enigma.

Adrian laughed. "It looks like you don't want to go in there."

"No, I do! I need this job. That's why I am in this goddamn city" The pixie omega cried.

"Oh, you're not from here?"

She was quiet for a few seconds before shaking her head. "No, I am here for work. That's all."

"Oh. It's a tough competition out there" Nicholas sympathetically smiled. For some reason, he wanted the elevator to stop so that they could get to know her more. She seemed like an exciting person, and he wanted to know everything about her.

"I am sure I'll get this job."

Adrain laughed. Its a dismissive laugh. The kind that comes out with a scoff-like snort. "You are very confident. Good luck with that."

The elevator finally reached the top floor. The doors opened, and the omega stepped forward. Nicholas and Adrian stayed back. She turned to look over her shoulder.

"Thanks for the chat" With that she tucked her straight hair behind her ear.

"I'm Alyssa. See you around."

Alyssa. Nicholas mouthed that name. It sounded so innocent and sweet.

She stepped off to a reception that has their company's brand displayed proudly.

As she walked away, Nicholas's eyes went towards her ass as she bounced. The full, round bum barely contained in her tight jeans immediately caught his attention. He had to take a few seconds to tear his eyes off her and stare back at his best friend.

Adrian was tracking her moments as well, his eyes a bit dark around edges.

If she was able to create such a haze over them in just five minutes, Nicholas dreaded having to interview her. He cannot wait, though.
