Chapter Seven

I was ready for the 'consequences' that came with murdering this worthless alpha. But I wasn't ready to see my mate walking through that door with red puffy eyes. That sight took me to a whole other level of anger I didn't know I had. I would burn this entire world to the ground if it meant her safety. After calming himself down with her scent, he realized she was okay and only here to check on him. Goliath was grinning from ear to ear on the inside. He remained his poker face in front of the other men. He wasn't ready to let Jackson go. Goliath wanted his head. He was the cause for his mate to be treated so terribly for the past 10 years. Even though her previous alpha fed the man lies, he knew what was right and what was wrong. Having the entire pack turn against a child would not fly with him, especially since it was his mate.

Goliath started to turn his attention back to Jackson when he heard the sweetest voice, his very own personal melody. "Will you take me home? I want us to go home, please?" He looked down at his precious little mate and melted right into her words. His mind was completely wiped clean from all previous thoughts. She said she wants US to go home! Kane was screaming at Goliath with so much excitement. Goliath couldn't form any words, he just looked at Trixie like he was stuck in a trance.

Trixie took this opportunity and latched onto his hand and started to lead him out of the room to head home. She was worried that he would snap out of his daze and wouldn't leave with her. Trixie didn't know that Goliath and Kane had no plans to return back to the meeting. Goliath gripped her hand back and happily followed his mate home. Their home. He was on cloud nine when she said home. She thought this was their home and he was just completely over the moon with that thought.

It sure was a site to watch Trixie stop Goliath in the middle of a 'hunt.' Then he just walked out that door with her like a lost little puppy. Theodore knew mates could hold some sort of power over each other but he didn't know the bond was strong enough to stop Goliath. He was sure there would be all sorts of crazy rumors starting up after everyone sees those two walking home. Theodore shrugged out of his thoughts and turned back to the men in the room.

"Gabriel, did you know what was going on within this pack?" Theodore was ready for the unthinkable. He didn't want to put blame on Gabriel as well but if he did know about how Jackson was having everyone treat Trixie, Kane would destroy this kingdom and take his people back home. As much as Theodore wanted to go back home, he couldn't. Not until he found his mate at least.

"I have no idea what the fuck is going on here! Alpha Jackson what the hell have you done to Trixie!? I've known Kane since I was a pup! My father introduced us and I have NEVER seen Goliath on the surface! I was starting to believe all the rumors of his demon were false. Well surprise, surprise, he's real and he wants your fucking head on a silver platter!" Gabriel was red hot. When Gabriel lost his temper, everyone in the castle would hide and it would be deadly silent until Evy came and calmed him down. Having a raging lycan on the loose, was not something to take lightly.

"Yes, Alpha Jackson, what have you done to our queen.." Theodore mocked. He wanted Gabriel to deal with Jackson instead of Kane. That way there would be zero complications for this deal to continue happening.

"Trixie came to our pack 10 years ago. Alpha Kurt from the Red Wood pack brought Trixie to our orphanage in hopes we could take her in. We are the biggest and closest supernatural orphanage near him. Of course I agreed. She was only a pup, just a week or so past her eighth birthday I believe. Her parents were killed in a rogue attack and the warriors got there just in time before they went for Trixie. I wasn't sure why Alpha Kurt didn't find a family to raise her there at her blood pack but I wasn't going to question it since it was a pup involved. After the paperwork was complete and she was now a Full Moon member, Alpha Kurt started telling me how it was Trixies fault that her parents were killed. She wanted to go to the 'meadow' for her birthday. He was saying all these horrible things about her, what she does and how she acts. I was just shocked that an alpha could hate a child so much. I didn't believe anything he said of course.. My Beta, Gamma and lead Delta were hooked, they immediately put all their trust in Kurt. I ignored it, unfortunately. I dropped the pup off at the orphanage and went back to my alpha duties." Jackson started from the beginning, stopping to make sure they were following.

"And then?" Gabriel was growing impatient.

"After about a week of Trixie being here, I started getting phone calls and letters from the orphanage. The directors were constantly complaining about Trixies behavior. I didn't think much of it because she was just a pup. What harm could she do? I sent my Gamma and Delta to check on her and they both reported back that she was harassing the other pups, damaging some of the property there and wouldn't listen to any of the adults or directors in charge so I went to check on her. When I got there she was just watching tv and being the sweetest little kid I'd ever seen. She didn't know I was watching her. I didn't want her to act a certain way just because I was there. But the directors told me that Trixie heard I was coming and was only pretending to be good. I told them to just to continue doing their job and that I would personally pay for any damage she causes. She was just a pup, if they wanted her out, that wasn't going to happen. I wouldn't turn a pup away. They were going to have to deal with her. They could handle a wild little pup. They deal with them every damn day. So I left and went back to work. I never once received any invoices on any damages from that place and the calls and letters stopped so I just assumed they figured her out, after all she did just lose her parents. Of course she may act out. So checking up on her, never crossed my mind again." Jackson paused again.

"Just so you know, Jackson, Theo here is extremely excellent at telling if someone is lying." William spoke up, ready to knock this dude out if he tried to deceive them. One of the many gifts that Theodores mom blessed him with was being read into people, practically being a human lie detector test." William warned.

"Good to know. Anyway, I didn't hear any more from them until her 16th birthday. I mean I heard the rumors that were going around about her but I heard rumors about everyone all the time and I did the same thing when I heard rumors about anyone. I would always tell them to knock it off, I'm the alpha so I just assumed they would actually listen and they did for the most part. The person I told to stop, never once mentioned anything about her or anyone else for that matter in front of me. Soon after that, I stopped hearing rumors altogether. But on her 16th birthday, the directors called me over to have a visit and so I went. They informed that Trixie didn't shift, that she was wolfless and that she became very upset about it and moved out of the orphanage. I was confused on why that would make her move out, she was still a just pup and had nowhere else to go. So personally went to find her and she was moving into Mr. and Mrs. Clays little apartment garage they had. My son Max was helping her so I just assumed she really did move out on her own. My son would have told me differently. And that's all I know. No one has contacted me to tell me anything more about Trixie. I know I should have kept my eye on her but I didn't and I failed as an alpha for her. I was her chance at having a good, happy life here and I failed her. I'm sorry!" Jackson whispered those last few sentences, guilt and shame rolling off him.

Theodore just laughed. That was really all Jackson knew and why he was so terrified of Kane and Goliath. Jackson doesn't even know about the abuse and he's already a pitiful mess. Theodore couldn't wait to tell Kane about this, now Kane didn't have to kill him. Everything was going to be okay, Theodore thought to himself.

"So let me get this straight. You sent your Gamma and Delta who seemed to have a problem with Trixie the second Alpha Kurt fed them all that bullshit. So what would make you think they would tell you the truth? Of course they lied. They were out to get rid of Trixie. So after all the phone calls and letters stopped, you never once checked up on the pup that you accepted into the pack? Your orphanage is full of YOUR pack members. Trixie is the only odd ball out! Oh my Goddess, I can't believe you are this blind. They were getting rid of her and you just let them. I can only imagine what they did to her." Gabriel was at a complete loss. "I won't be able to take it if they harmed her. Oh Goddess, I can only imagine how scared she was, I feel so ashamed to call the Full Moon pack my kingdom." Gabriels head hung low in his hands while he tried to process everything.

"Well King Gabriel, let me tell you what has happened to our Queen while she's been here." Theodore only knew what had happened because Kane told him. Trixie would be upset if she knew Kane read her mind. Kane knew she wouldn't be willing to tell him the truth, afraid of what he would do to those people. So Kane took matters into his own hands. Trixie would eventually forgive him if she found out, he hoped. Theodores thoughts were interrupted by one of Gabriels men.

"What's the blue pit?" Kol, Gabriels third in command, questioned.
