Hawaii

The third POV

Hawaii

The cool wind blew in the garden of the seven star hotel in Hawaii.

“Come one girl! You look nice!”

Veera looked at Emerald, shook her head, “don’t be ridiculous. It’s not my type.” After a busy working day, they decided to relax on the beach. This bikini was a birthday present from Emerald. She was Aunt Rita’s colleague, as well as Veera’s ‘sweetest’ roommate.

"Hey girl! Heads up! You have a sexy ass!" Emerald slapped her ass.

"Hey!" Veera felt really embarrassed. She never showed off her body like that.

"Shut up, you know you like that! Now, let’s go!" Emerald yelled.

The team had already gathered on the beach when they arrived. The locals had put on a show for them.

"How’s your day sweetie?" Aunt Rita came to greet Veera.

"Great, I think I love Hawaii already." Veera smiled.

"Hey!! Will you join us for the hula dance?" One of the main dancers asked on the microphone.

“I’m in.” Veera ran towards the crowds. It was really a fun wearing the grass skirt and swaying. Veera grabbed Emerald’s hand, laughing as loudly as she could. They kept dancing until it started to rain.

“Aww… bad luck! We gonna go, V!” Emerald covered her head with clothes

“I’ll follow you.” Veera said to Emerald, pointing at her clothes on the beach. Emerald nodded before running to the hotel.

But the rain suddenly poured down heavily. Veera looked around. She found there was an open hut in the garden next to her. It was very small but it’s a good place to avoid being soaked.

She quickly ran into the hut. It was dimly lighted, taking her few minutes to get used to the darkness. She saw a vague figure standing in the shadows. She didn’t see anyone followed her so how long had him been here. The thunder sounded loudly making her gasp out of fear.

“Who…who are you?” She crossed her arms before her chest, asked nervously.

"Are you afraid of a little thunder?" The cold voice asked, instantly making her shivering.

"No, I'm not." She replied, trying to calm her racing heart rate.

A chuckle came out. He stepped out from the shadows taking her breath away. A smirk played on his perfect chiseled face.

Veera looked at him. The stranger wore a suit and tie, definitely not an ordinary person would wear on the beach. But Veera had to admit that he looked very handsome in suit. Dangerously handsome.

It thundered rather loudly again, making Veera jumped a little out of fright. The stranger caught her hand and steadied her.

He did his best not to scent her. He looked down at her little body in his hug. She was wet due to the rain and looking sexy as hell in her bikini and grass skirt.

"You danced well tonight." He stared at her looking at her deeply. He wanted to hug her, but he couldn’t because he would scare her away. He fought his inner beast to keep calm and let go of her hand.

"Wh..What?!" Veera stuttered. She looked puzzled looking at up at him. She hadn't notice he was there in the crowd when she was dancing.

"I watched you danced tonight. You looked beautiful."

"Oh…Thanks... " She felt her cheeks heat up

He smiled warmly at her. Blood ran in his vein and his beast was shouting. She did smell different. Different from any females he had met before. He knew she’s special. He had watched for her for years. She must be special.

“So you’re a guest?” Veera asked nervously.

"For now, and soon you'll be mine too." He narrow his eyes, giving her an odd smile.

Veera looked at him in confusion. Did he just say I'll be his guest?

Veera was just about to ask him that, but then it thundered again and Veera shut up immediately. Better not to ask. She just needed someone for accompany in this terrifying night

"Which hotel are you staying at?" He suddenly asked, “Would you like me to drop you off at the reception?”

Veera looked at the lightning and thunder and the heavy rain pouring outside. There was no way she was going out in that down pour. What were the chances of getting struck by lightning?

"No, I think it’s better just waiting till the rain and thunder goes down." Veera shook her head.

He nodded and turned on his heel.

"Wait, where are you going?" She asked nervously.” She didn’t want to be alone.

He smirked and turned back to her giving his calm poker face, "I'm going back to hotel."

"Wait. It's raining and you don't have an umbrella?"

He swiftly took out his jacket and put it over his head, "I have my shelter here. But don't mind me. The rain and thunder will go away soon enough."

It thundered again and Veera walked quickly towards him holding his sleeve of the jacket he was holding. She looked cute as she looked up at him with her big worried eyes.

"Wait. Don't go. Please stay… I don't wish to be alone here?" She was clearly afraid.

"I'm sorry little bird, but I'm sorry my guests are waiting for me inside. But if you wanted to go with me…"

"How?"

He stood closer to her and shielded them both with his jacket. Veera gasped at his sudden closeness. He was tempted to steal a kiss under the rain and thunder.

"Don't think about the thunder or the rain, and you'll be fine. Stay close to me if you don't want to get wet. Okay?" He advised

"Sure." Veera nodded and came closer towards him.

He walked out with her. Veera was being careful not to invade his personal space as much as possible but that back fired when a loud thunder clapped once again, making her gasp out of fright and cling on to him from the sides.

"It's ok. We are almost there. Is that your hotel?"

When they entered the reception lounge, the stranger put his jacket over her, "Here, this will keep you warm."

"Um, th—." Veera put it on her and as she turned around to say thank you.

But he no longer was there. He was gone like a ghost.

Veera realized she even forgot to ask about his name. He’s the most handsome man she ever met in her life. Perfect sculptured face, amazing dark eyes, nice fit body under the suit…

Lying on her bed, she just couldn’t stop dreaming about him…

ring, ring, ring

A phone call interrupted her day dream.

“Leo?” Veera looked at the caller, feeling surprised. Why Leo called her at this hour.

*“Veera! Are you coming back?” Leo sounded panicked.

“No, why?”

“Oh good…” He relaxed.

“What happened?” Veera was confused.

“V...” Leo cleared his voice and said very seriously, “We found Cascata.”

“W…what?” Veera asked. The room instantly became freezing cold.

“Cascata, the one you met five years ago.” Leo continued, “His full name is Ares Cascata. He’s a very powerful alpha…”

“How did you know?” Veera was trembling. Something was definitely NOT going to be right.

“V, he’s killer. He killed a cop outside your apartment yesterday. ”
