Chapter 6: "...this is bad, this is so bad!"

Chapter 6

Janice, still looking at her magical compact mirror, and her legs still swaying in a back and forth motion said, “That’s why mother and Bettina had Alora’s powers bound when they were unable to abort her from Bettina’s womb no matter what they tried. They hadn’t wanted her to grow too powerful before the Werewolf of your generation, set to overtake your Pack, was born. Unfortunately, the accident used to sacrifice your little brother left Bettina unable to have more children.”

“Why wasn’t my mother able to abort that whore?” Sarah asked, her face held a look of disdain. Sarah’s hatred for Alora filled her with rage.

“Mom has a theory, they knew who Alora was going to be as soon as Bettina got pregnant, they were trying to prevent her reincarnation. When they couldn’t they suspected the Moon Goddesses involvement. So they bound Alora’s power and separated her from her wolf and sprite forms. Alora was never supposed to have broken from those bonds.” Bonnie said, back to filing her claws.

“So what you’re telling me is, the Moon Goddess forced my mother to have that whore Alora, and now that the bitch has gotten her powers back and is mated, the Coven wants to capture her?” Sarah asked, her disgust evident in her tone.

“Yes.” Bonnie, Kelly, and Janice all replied in unison.

“Then why wouldn’t you want to be the ones to capture the whore before she and her mate destroy the Coven’s plans again? Wouldn’t you benefit if you were the ones to give her bound and gaged and a little tortured to the Coven?” Sarah asked, nearly purring at the idea of being able to torture Alora again.

In the alcove outside the room, Rain was still holding a hand over her mouth, her back against the wall, a mop handle in the other hand, her eyes wide and fear filled at the direction Sarah’s history lesson had taken.

Internally, Rain was frantically thinking, “No, no, no, no, no this is bad, this is so bad!”

“Mother would hold us in higher regard, our Witch Ranking would become higher if we did.” Bonnie said with a contemplative tone in her voice.

“There is that property the Coven owns in Silver Forest Canyon, it’s perfect for holding prisoners and torturing them.” Kelly said, a smile on her face.

“We could contain her there for a while before we present her to the Coven.” Janice said, looking up from her mirror, a gleam in her eyes.

“So I would get to have my fun with her first before we hand her over to Aunty?” Sarah asked in excitement.

“Yeah, that and it'll be easier to get her there first, it’s the only territory the Coven owns closest to your old Pack.” Bonnie told Sarah.

“We will have an opportunity to do this soon too. Rumor has it, that the Queen of all Vampires is adopting a Werewolf Vampire hybrid, and a ceremony will be held for it at Blood Moon Castle. We could make sure she never makes it back home.” Janice said.

Rain was trying not to panic, Alora was in danger and she desperately wanted to let her Pack know. Rain wondered if she would be able to save Alora, then she felt a determination fill her, one that told her she had to save Alora. Rain knew of the compound they had in the Silver Forest Canyon territory. Rain had been transported there a few times to be used in the Coven’s spells.

Swiftly, and with no sound, Rain hurried away from the room. Rain cast a small unspoken spell that hid her scent and erased the traces of herself left behind. This was so Sarah wouldn’t be able to tell she had ever been there, listening in on their plans to abduct Alora.

A few days later…

The last few days had been awful for Rain, with Sarah at the coven, she had to try her hardest not to be noticed when she was not locked up in her cell. Luckily, Sarah was off having fun with the males of the Coven and her half sisters when she was locked up, or she would have to suffer another torture session administered by Sarah.

Some of the others hadn’t been so lucky. There were a few female servants, who’s bodies needed to be burned after Sarah and her current boyfriend got through with them. Rain knew who Sarah was with, it was none other than the Warlock that had rejected her.

It made sense to Rain that they were together, there was an old saying perfect for this situation. Birds of a feather flock together, meaning like minded beings tend to gravitate towards each other. Still, Rain knew her reprieve wouldn’t last for long, she was just glad she was able to perform her chores without the intense pain of open and bleeding wounds.

Lillian was in a bit of a panic, it was only by chance she had overheard what the Head Coven Witch Rebecca had planned for Rain and a list of the other female slaves. She had managed to make a potion overnight that would prevent the aphrodisiac fertility stimulant tea from doing what it was intended to do. Lillian had been tracking down and discreetly giving each of the females the potion, except for Rain.

She was running out of time, and needed to give her last bottle of the antidote and fertility prevention potion before one of Rebecca’s servants came for Rain. Lillian reached the upper most floor of the Head Coven Witch’s Mansion and nearly collapsed with relief, she had finally found Rain.

Rain, who had been lost in thought while cleaning was a little startled at Lillian’s sudden appearance in front of her. Lillian and Rain didn’t normally interact outside of the Library, it would cause trouble for Rain if anyone ever learned how fond of Rain, Lillian was.

Rain became concerned as she observed Lillian’s worried expression, noting that Lillian looked distressed. Both the fact that Lillian had appeared in front of her outside the library and her expression, sent a frisson of foreboding down her spine. She started to think her small reprieve, from the constant torture her blood relations loved to meet out on her, was coming to an end.

Lillian, panting a little from her silent run up the stairs said, “There you are, I’ve been looking for you everywhere.” Her voice was a little shaky with her relief.

Rain, her expression showing her concern asked. “What’s wrong Master Lillian?” Automatically keeping her voice soft and low. Slaves were not to be heard unless told to speak, or seen unless told to appear.

Lillian had to take a steading breath to talk to Rain. “Your mother has one of her evil plans for you tonight sweet girl, plans you don’t want to contemplate.” Lillian pulled out a small bottle made of purple iridescent glass.

When Lillian held out the bottle for Rain to take, she automatically reached out a hand and took it. Rain looked at Lillian with a curious expression on her face, then asked in a low soft voice. “What is this for Master?”

Lillian didn’t want to divulge all the horrid details of the conversation she wasn’t supposed to have heard to Rain. So she said impatiently. “Never mind that right now. Just drink the potion in it, this is the only thing that will save you from your mother’s evil plot tonight.” Giving Rain just as much information as she needed to, to get Rain to drink her potion.

Rain figured that whatever spell laced potion was in the bottle, Lillian would have made and spelled herself. She thought Lillian an amazing Potions Master and Historian. Lillian was an incredibly powerful Witch, not that anyone but Rain and her father knew. That, however, was deliberate, every Black Magic Spell Lillian had been forced to try always failed.

Black Magic went against everything that Lillian was. Born with the power of Clairvoyance, Lillian was able to see the consequences of not only her immediate actions, but all the damage the twisted magic would cause beyond that. Rain knew that if Lillian didn’t have the power of Clairvoyance she would have been killed long ago.

Rain unstopped the bottle and downed the potion inside. As she did, Rain thought of the rolls Lillian had in her life. Lillian wasn’t just her teacher, she was also her protector. Well as much as she could be without getting them both killed by the Coven. Lillian was more of a mother figure to Rain, her own mother being a evil Witch who abused and tortured her own offspring.

The contents of the potion made Rain feel warm inside. She could tell there was more than one spell weaved in with the potion. Rain felt the layers of protection the potion provided her. Feeling the protections had Rain curious and a little scared of why she would need them. Rain knew Lillian would never give her something like this without it being necessary.

“Be as safe as you can tonight during the banquet Rain, that’s where everything is supposed to happen tonight.” Lillian said, worried about Rain and what was to come. With that Lillian left quickly without making a sound, disappearing from sight almost immediately.
