When Catherine was eight years old she believes she almost drowned.

Catherine was abducted by Caspian, the future King of the Kelpie Colony. However, he was sabotaged and his coming of age ceremony was interrupted, meaning he lost his mate.

Twelve years later, he has found her at last, both of them fully grown and completely drawn to one another.

But, before he can claim her, she is lost to him again, whisked away inland by another who has his own intentions towards her, and he will cross almost any boundary to get what he wants.
