Chapter 2

“He was brought to us by a good Samaritan,” the doctor explained with concern etched on his face, “who found him in the middle of the road, rocking back and forth with tattered clothes and scratched skin.”

“And is he okay?” Divina asked urgently.

“While his minor injuries have been tended to, we found a rather nasty animal bite near his left eye that he has adamantly refused treatment for. He’s currently stable, but I must urge caution when approaching him.”

“But you said there was nothing seriously wrong!” Divina exclaimed confusion and fear in her voice.

“Our initial diagnoses did not reveal anything of concern,” the doctor replied gravely, “however, we have now discovered a brain tumour, unlike anything I’ve ever seen before.”

Tears sprung to Divina’s eyes as she walked into the hospital room. She was shocked to see her octogenarian relative strapped down to the bed - his skin almost translucent. His eyes blazed with a fierce intensity that hinted at something far beyond his current condition. His thin legs were exposed and showed the beginnings of bruising, as well as deep scratches. She tried to remain stoic, but the sight of him brought her to tears. As soon as he saw her, he began to shout wildly.

“BEHOLD THE LYCAN GOD-MOTHER! THE LYCAN GOD MOTHER! MY GRAND DAUGHTER-THE LYCAN GOD MOTHER! I WORSHIP YOU LYCAN GOD MOTHER! LYCAN GOD MOTHER!!!”

Divina’s tears flowed freely as she stumbled out of the room, her heart breaking into a million pieces. The weight of her emotions was almost too much to bear as she fumbled for her phone and dialled her mother's number, desperate for comfort. But the phone rang and rang, a cruel reminder of her isolation and despair.

“Mum, you must come quickly. Pa...he isn't himself anymore,” she pleaded into the device, her voice shaking with fear and uncertainty. Exhausted and weak, she collapsed onto a plush blue seat in the sterile waiting area, her body wracked with sobs and tremors. The outdated magazines on the coffee table held no interest for her, and she propped her legs up in a futile attempt to feel grounded.

But even as she sat there, her mind was consumed with memories of him - the dark-haired man who had captured her heart and soul. She remembered the way his fingers had deftly undone her panties, the heat of his breath on her neck as he leaned down to kiss her. Her body had responded to his touch with a fiery hunger, her skin coming alive with the electricity of his caresses.

Now, alone and afraid, Divina clung to those memories like a lifeline, her heart aching with longing and desire. But even as she revelled in the dizzying passion of their embrace, a darker thought lingered at the edge of her mind, threatening to consume her with its intensity. For she knew that, no matter how fiercely she loved him, their time together might be all too fleeting, and she was powerless to stop the inexorable march of fate.

He drew close, his forehead coming to rest against hers. Divina couldn't help but hold her breath as she watched the silent intensity in his gaze.

His warm breath danced across her skin, causing her to close her eyes in anticipation. When his lips met hers once more, they were more fervent, seeking and exploring every inch of her mouth with a hunger that left her dizzy with desire.

She couldn't help but moan softly as he began to enter her, the shadows of her bedroom and the scent of summer sex surrounding them. The dark-haired man took control, trailing kisses down her neck and tugging at her skin with his teeth before licking at her bare breasts.

Divina's body was alive with the pleasure coursing through her veins, her heart singing with joy before he suddenly pulled away. She missed the heat that had been curling within her so desperately.

Both panting, they paused for a few seconds, her hands gripping his back and pulling him back towards her. At that moment, she needed him more than anything else in the world.

He began to move within her with a fierce passion that caught her off guard. In a spontaneous moment, he turned her onto her stomach and pressed against her back, sliding between her cheeks. Their bodies matched perfectly, and he rocked against her gently, sweat perspiring down her chest. But he swiftly turned her over again, and this time she wrapped her legs around him as he plunged deeper into her. Divina arched her back in ecstasy as he moved faster and faster, his dark eyes intense as he grabbed her breasts and squeezed. And then, something incredible happened. Their bodies began to levitate, several meters above the bed. But the handsome stranger didn't falter, and moments later, Divina was caught in a wild orgasm. But as she felt herself falling, a voice from deep within told her to wake up.

Divina slowly regained consciousness, sensing a familiar presence by her bedside. Her eyes fluttered open to see her mother's face, and a wave of relief washed over her. But her mind was still foggy from the dream she had just awoken from - a dream so vivid it felt real.

"M-Mom?" Divina stuttered, trying to piece together what had happened.

"Shh, my love," her mother replied, her voice as gentle as ever. "You need to rest and eat something proper."

Divina winced as a sharp pain shot through the back of her skull. "But how's Pa?" she asked, her concern for her father taking over.

"He's been stable for hours now, but we need to get you home," her mother said.

Divina shook her head. "No, I have to see him," she insisted, remembering what had happened the last time she saw him. The memory of Lycan God-mother, mixed with the sensation of supercharged sex with Melissa's property, flooded her mind. It felt so real, but it was impossible. What was happening to her?

Count Dracula's lifestyle? Lycan God-mother? Crazy sex dreams? Divina's mind swirled with confusion and panic. She had to figure out what was going on before it was too late.

She had envisioned Melissa's property several occasions prior, though her countenance had habitually concealed itself within obscurity. Divina massaged her temples as she pondered over this.

"Divina, Divina," her mother's voice pulled her back from the depths of her thoughts.

"Do you wish to see him now?" The mere suggestion caused panic to well up inside Divina like a tempestuous storm.

"No, I've got a splitting headache."

Amy narrowed her eyes at the abrupt shift in her daughter's demeanour. She knew all too well how to distinguish between a fearful child and a sick one.

They climbed into Amy's car, a far superior model to her PA’s. "I'll have someone collect Pa's car. You're in no fit state to drive," Amy declared as she revved the engine. Divina had forgotten about the vehicle, still abandoned in the hospital lot.
