Chapter 3 - Rings

Isabelle Orsino

I used to say to myself that I won't be in a loveless marriage but here I am agreeing into one. Not exactly loveless because I admire Sebastian Grey. Personally I think he's a good man.

We actually have the same circle of friends and we often see each other. In my eyes, he's always been different from every man in the room. He has his own aura that I can't even understand.

No, I never like him but he's on the top of my list for my future husband. He can be a great husband and I want someone like him to be the father of my children.

I do believe in love but I've failed so many times to believe it again. I want to be logical and realistic because we live in the world where fairytale doesn't exist.

When gramps asked me who I want to marry, I honestly told him that I pick Sebastian Grey. I thought he would hate the idea but he loved it right away. I told him about it last month and here I am already having Sebastian agree to marry me.

"Ms. Orsino." I turned to the woman in front of me.

"I'm sorry for spacing out." I said and she smiled.

"It's okay, Ms. Orsino. We have a couple of options for the wedding rings and I looked at the rings in front of me. They're all really beautiful." I took out my phone and took a picture to send to Sebastian.

I have to ask his opinion and his ring size so it will fit.

My phone rang and Sebastian was the one who called me.

"Hello." I answered.

"Where are you? I just finish my meeting, I can join you." He said.

"Cartier, 5th Avenue."

"10 minutes, I'll be there." He ended the call. While I wait for him, I decided to look at the rings first. The more I look at the ring, the more I realize that I'm getting married in a few days.

"Isabelle." I turned to see Sebastian entering the room, my secretary was the one who let him in.

"Sit down." I said and he sat beside me. He looked at the rings one by one.

"Which one do you pick?"

"I haven't decide it yet, you can choose first and you can go. I know you're busy so you can pick and go back to the office." I said and he nodded.

"How about this?" He asked and I looked at him confused. He actually picking my ring instead of his own ring.

"It's beautiful." I said and he slipped it to my ring finger. It's a little bit loose but I bet they can get it fix fast.

"How about the wedding band?" He asked to the employee.

"Give us a minute, Mr. Grey. We will bring all the options out." I guess they knew him because he often buy jewelries here.

"How about you pick mine?" I was surprised when I heard him say that. I actually already have a ring in mind for him but I don't want to choose it for him. Since he let me choose, I decided to pick the one that I liked earlier.

"This one." I said and he tried it on. It was a perfect fit and he looked at it.

"You can change it if you like."

"I'll just go with this." He said and at the same the wedding band set came. The employee recommended me some of the band that will be suitable for my ring.

"You should pick." He said and I nodded. I tried a few of them on and decided to pick the second one.

"We'll take this." I said as I took out my card.

"Use my card." He said but I stopped him. He looked at me confuse, I took his card and gave the employee mine.

Once the employee left, "Why did you stop me?"

"I want to keep the ring, once we.. divorce." I said and Sebastian nodded.

"How about the wedding dr-"

"Let's sign the prenup tomorrow along with the divorce paper." I cut him.

"Okay."

"Mr. Grey and Ms. Orsino, we will wrap the rings quickly. Please give us a moment." The employee said as she gave me back my card. I nodded.

"We need to give her some money so she won't spread the news." Sebastian said.

"My secretary will take care of that."

"Okay."

"You can go first, I will bring the ring on the day of our wedding." I said and Sebastian nodded. He got up from his seat and walked out of the room. I leaned back to the sofa and sighed.

After they wrapped up the rings, I went back to work because why not? Tomorrow, we will sign the prenup agreement and then I have my wedding dress fitting.

"Ms. Orsino, you have a guest. It's Mr. Rixton." My secretary, Lia, said.

"Bring him up." I said and I got up from my seat.

"Isabelle." Elijah bursted the door open and I chuckled.

"One day, my door will shatter to pieces." I said and he gave me a hug.

"It's been so long, I've missed you." He said and I rolled my eyes.

"It's only been two weeks." I said as I sat on the sofa. He sat beside me and he took out a small box from his pocket.

"A present for you." He said.

"Another rejection, who?" I asked as I opened the box. It's a beautiful teardrop necklace.

"You don't need to know who." He said.

"This is why you need to settle down, don't find your future wife in the club." I hissed and put the necklace on.

"Should we just get married?" He said.

"Funny, El. Such a good joke coming from you."

"Oh come on, we've been friends for years. We understand each other so.. why not?" He smirked and I shook my head.

"You can dream about that."

"I think we would make a good pair, don't you think?"

"Treat me lunch, I'm hungry."
