Chapter 5 - Rehearsal

Sebastian Grey

Socializing with people is one of the things that I love when it comes to gathering like this. You get to hear a lot of stories and sometimes I might learn something from it.

Certainly not Isabelle.

We both grew up in the same circle. We both were blessed because we're born into a family with silver spoon but we're too different, not to mention we have to add that our families have been in a cold war since God knows when.

When I love socializing, Isabelle loves to be alone. She rather stay inside and play with her dolls than playing with other kids. She doesn't have a lot of friends to begin with and she's pretty shy with new people.

We used to be close but the hatred between our family that made us grew apart.

Now that she's going to be my wife, somehow I have the sense of responsibility towards her. I kept glancing at the private room where she's at, I don't even know if she's wasted or not. She's alone with Elijah too, the man who is secretly in love with her.

I was walking towards the bar when I saw Isabelle walking out from the private room with a phone on her ear. She was rushing out but I know she's a little tipsy judging by the way she walks.

I decided to follow her secretly and I saw her running upstairs to the main lobby. She listened to whoever on the other side of that call. She leaned her body to the wall and she sighed.

I decided to show up in front of her and jumped in shock.

"You're going home?" I asked.

"There's something wrong in the office, I'm going to take a taxi there." She said.

"Do you want me to drop you off?" I asked and she looked at me like I'm a ghost. "With my chauffeur." I added.

"It's okay, I'm good." She said and she walked out towards the street to grab a taxi. Once I made sure that she got into one, I walked back inside. Michael was already smirking at me when I walked back to our table.

"Done spying?" He teased and I looked at him with a complete pocker face.

Isabella Orsino

I walked into the church to have my wedding rehearsal. To be honest, we don't need one but I think we need it so if won't be as awkward tomorrow. When I entered, Sebastian already waiting for me, he was sitting on the first row.

"Sebastian." I called and he turned to me. I turned to my secretary to start the rehearsal.

"So how are we going to do this?" He asked as he got up from his seat.

"You're going to stand here and I'm going to enter the church with my dad. We should pretend that today we're going to get married for real." I said because I don't want everything to be awkward tomorrow.

"Okay, you have the run down?"

"My secretary, Lia, has it." I said pointing at Lia and Sebastian briefly greeted her.

"Since our families know about this wedding, we don't need to say our vows, what do you think?" I asked and he looked at me weirdly.

"What?"

"I already prepared it. I thought we have to write our vows." He said as he took out a piece of paper from his suit pocket.

"Okay, let's practice that." I walked towards the door. I closed my eyes for a few seconds and took a deep breath. I opened my eyes and the piano started to play. I walked down the aisle alone and my eyes were locked to Sebastian.

I could feel my heart beating so fast as the gap between us getting closer. I stopped when Sebastian smile at me. I was taken back because it reminded me of something back in the days.

I continued to walk and he put his hand out. I took out and he held my hand tightly. Lia started to let us know the run down but I was not paying attention to any of it until Sebastian turned to me.

"Mr. Grey, you can say your vows first." Lia said and Sebastian took out his paper again.

"Isabelle Grace Orsino, this is my vow to you." He said in a soft tone.

"Marriage means we're opening a new page together. Now, instead of facing the world alone I have you by my side and you have me by your side. I don't want to make a lot of promises because I don't want you to be disappointed when I don't keep it. Agreeing to this marriage means I have new responsibilities that is to protect you and to stay by your side." I tried to keep my face as flat as possible when I'm completely choked inside. If this marriage is real, I would cry already.

"I can't guarantee you rainbows and unicorns but I can guarantee that we will get through everything together. Cheers to our future, Isabelle, my wife." He ended his vow with a big smile plastered on his face. I wish he knew what he did to me right now but I think it's better for me to keep it all to myself.

"Your vow, Ms. Orsino."

"You'll hear it tomorrow." I said to Sebastian and he nodded.

"Okay." Lia continued the run down and she stopped right at the wedding kiss. We decided to skip it for tomorrow and we continued until the end of the rehearsal.

"I have a meeting in 20 minutes, I have to go first." Sebastian said and I nodded. He called his chauffeur and left the church. I sat down and turned to Lia.

"Lia, do you think I can get through this marriage?"

"I think you can get through this, he's a nice man, Ms. Orsino." She smiled trying to assure me that everything will be okay.

"Let's go home, I feel so dizzy."
