I'm Yvette

The bright rays of sunlight penetrating through the wildly opened windows stroke gently on her skin causing her sullen eyes to flutter open, she had been too lost in thought the previous night she had not realised when she drifted off to sleep. Her head suddenly started pounding, it seemed the crying of the previous night had started to take its toil on her. She looked around unsure of where she was, the dark walls reminded her swiftly that she was far from home. Her eyes fell on the sheets her head rested on the previous night, they were still wet, it seemed she had been crying even in her sleep, she was still on the cold, bare floor. No one had walked in.

She rose up from the ground walking past the mirror on the side that showed a grave reflection on how disarranged she was, grabbing the knobs of the large door and twisting it open, at least it wasn't locked. She walked out wandering down the hallway of the dark enormous villa, she was without a destination, all she wanted was to get out and go as fast and as far as her legs could take her.

It took her a while of walking to realise that she had lost her way.

She looked around, the eyes on her, they literally bore into her, every eyes looking at her like they wanted to strangle her, it might had been a figment of her imagination but it felt so real. It took her a while to finally understand what was going on, no one knew who she was because she had been married in secrecy, no one saw her being brought in, to them she might as well be a sacred cow that popped up the Alpha villa, so sacred they were not allowed to touch.

Her heart clenched.

'But why' she questioned herself but deep down she knew the answer, she had spent nineteen years of her life being groomed to be the Luna of a pack and when finally it is her turn to own the position he wouldn't announce her, she was left unannounced the greatest disrespect she could ever get, to the people who saw her she might as well be a whore.

A lone tear rolled down her cheek, was she about to cry? Again? In the past it was almost impossible to see her cry, but him? He did not even need to be there for him to break her completely, she felt like an egg in his palm, delicate. She dried her face with the back of her palm, she would never allow him to break her. She turned back to the direction she came from attempting to find her way back.

"I thought I saw someone" A voice made her halt in her steps, she contemplated her decision to turn but finally turned when she felt footsteps getting closer, her eyes landed on Logan Madrid the Beta of the evergreen pack, he was tall and a bit tanned in his skin color, he had brown eyes which went well with his brown hair, he was handsome and muscular enough to make any woman drool, but most especially he was nice and polite.

"What are you doing here?" Logan asked with a smile on his face, a smile Diane wished she could wipe off, regardless of how nice he was, it was limited to his people, she could never forget the ferociousness his face held the day he mercilessly beat up the guards of her pack, two months ago when he and Ian had infilterated the pack to threaten her into marrying him, she had seen too much to be fooled, everyone in the pack were like monsters to her.

"I lost my way" she replied with a ting of noticeable coldness in her voice.

"Oh.. Shall I see you back to your room then?" He offered politely regardless of her cold reply, this angered her further.

"I'll help my self" she replied, she wanted nothing to do with him for the amount of time she had to spend there.

"Ian would not like to see you wandering about, I suggest you come with, for your own safety" he said compelling her to trail behind him.

"You look quite disorganized" he said as they walked through the hallway.

"I'll have a maid tend to you" He continued when he saw her lack of interest in replying him. Once they got to the door of her room he ushered her in before he left.

Truly as he had said a maid did come in to tend to her.

"I'm Yvette" The maid said.

"Are you the only one?" She asked calmly, her mother always taught her that a Luna was served by a group of maids and that it was only a Luna who has sinned against the pack that would be left with just one maid.

"Yes" she replied, and another tear trailed down her cheek as her upper and lower lashes hit themselves gently in her bid to blink the tears back in.

'A Luna never shows pain Diane' she said within herself.

'Especially in front of her subjects' she tried to stop herself, but she couldn't, had she really expected to be accorded the due respect of a Luna? She turned her face away from the maid patting her tears dry before turning to face her again.

"You are dismissed" Diane said as she turned away towards the bed, the maid stood dazed for a while before attempting to speak.

"Sir Logan instructed me to see to it that you are cleaned up" she whispered unsure of what to do.

"Get out" Diane said calmly.

"Please, I beg you to clean up, if Sir Logan finds out that I did not do my duty I don't know what he would do to me" she begged as she fell to her face.

"I have heard tales of his kindness.." Diane stated.

"Do you bow down and tell me it's false?" She asked as she tilted her head to the side to stretch herself.

"Not so my lady, I will never speak such against my Lord" Yvette replied.

"It seems you are of importance to the Alpha, and that is why I can't leave here without fulfilling my duty" she continued

Seems? That word annoyed her.

"Well if being an object of revenge to your messiah can be deemed as being of importance to the Alpha, then yes you are very right, I am of high importance to your Alpha" she scoffed at every word she said, the anger was literally seeping out of her.

"Now get out!!" She ordered in anger as she ducked her head into the sheets.

"Please, let me tend to you" Yvette pleaded for fear of what the Alpha might do to her, she was among the people who had seen her being brought in the previous night and from the way the Alpha looked at her, she could tell was this no ordinary person, the reason was simple, the Alpha had never let a woman into the villa let alone leave them to spend the night. This wolf was typically living her, what better explanation could be offered than this?

"You are the Alpha's mate aren't you?"
