Laughter has always been a happy thing, associated with joy and happiness. It meant something good had happened, or something funny. Some sounds of laughter were contagious, and others were frightening.

The sounds of my brother and best friend's laughter could be heard from miles away, usually I'd chuckle with them, on the occasion that I'm at the end of the joke, which is almost all of the time, I don't find their laughter contagious in anyway.

"Tell me one more time, who did he think it was?" Jonathan asked as he slapped his palm against the wooden table.

I scoffed and looked the opposite direction. The two of them were idiots, and nothing could change that.

"He thought he was day dreaming about your wife." Cam said as he doubled over in laughter.

"It's not that funny." I mumbled under my breath as I took a swing from my root beer.

Jonathan raised his face, the places not covered in facial hair was red, he had somehow almost choked to death because of something that wasn't even that funny. He pointed at me while he continued to happily choke on his laughter.

"What do you mean it's not funny?" He asked when his laughter had subsided.

"You know what? Keep laughing." I told them in mild annoyance before standing up, I needed a few more cans of beer if I was going to sit there and listen to them laugh.

"Wait, wait, wait.. hear me out." Jonathan called me back.

I didn't pause, knowing him, it was not to apologize, and I still needed that beer.

He followed me instead.

"Look at this, for at least six years, I've been gone. And I hear you never dated any person, and the girl you picked up at the club, stopped making out with you halfway, after giving you a fake name. The best part? You can't forget her." He bursts into another round of deranged laughter.

I pause by the fridge in the patio, it was stocked, just how mom loved it, I grabbed two, and passed one to him. He took it from me, not breaking his laugh. I grab two more, One for Cam, two for me if I was going to endure another conversation with them.

As we walked back, I unbuttoned my suit and drapped it over the back of my seat.

"So you got married and suddenly you think you're better than us single guys?" I queried.

By now his laugh had simmered down to fits of giggles.

"You taught us the no girlfriend rule though." Cam commented, finally on my side.

He smiled at me from the side of his eyes, i looked away from him, betrayer.

"And I am glad you kept the rules, but right now, I think I'm starting to regret it, he is clinging unto what is supposed to be a one night stand, I mean who does that? One night stands, are one night stands for a reason. One night only."

I felt I had to defend myself,

"Is it a one night stand if we never even slept together?"

"It's a something I call, failed one night stands.. it was never meant to be.. she even gave you a fake name..."

That hurt, because I did give her my real name, complete with my surname.

"On a scale of one to infinite hotness, how great is this girl?" Jonathan urged.

I paused for a minute as everything I felt with her hit me all over again.

The way her thighs felt against my skin. Heat rushed to my face the moment the feel of her breasts hit me.

"Very great." I whispered huskily.

"Whoa." Jonathan whispered with his eyes wide open.

"She got you bad." Cam whistled.

"This won't do, we need to get her out of your head."

"What do you mean?" I inquired even if I knew what Jonathan was talking about.

"She obviously doesn't want to be found, so let's find out how to replace her."

Cam clapped his hands in approval, he was out of his seat soon enough.

"I get what you mean!" He sounded as excited as he did six years ago whenever Jonathan brought up a useless, and dangerous idea.

He unbuttoned his suit jacket, and flung it against the wall. He looked like a teenager once more.

"Cameron, Jonathan, I have never liked your plans, and I'm not going to start liking them now, I will not participate in whatever is brewing in your heads. Never ever." I told them in the tone of finality. I sipped on the beer, saying the discussion was over.

As the engine of Jonathan's car revved up, I sunk deeper into the leather seats. I don't know how it always ends up like this, every time they plan to make dangerous decisions and I said no, my opinion never mattered.

He stopped in front of The Club, and turned to face me, both of them faced me actually. Cam rode shotgun.

I closed my eyes.

"This is not Friday night, I shouldn't be here."

"Stop being a buzzkill."

"Cam I thought you were meeting some business partners today?" I asked since he never left my side all day.

"Yeah, it was rescheduled." He said dismissively waving his hand.

I sighed deeply.

"So your plan of getting her replaced is?"

"Getting you laid." They chorused in excitement.

I mulled over it for a while, before shrugging my shoulders. What the hell?

"Let's do this."

As we go into the club, I decided the dance floor was where I wanted to be today.

As soon as I grabbed my drink, my eyes found someone swaying her hips to the rythme of the beat, it was hypnotizing. Her hair was everywhere, it was mesmerizing to watch. Her friends were dancing with her, but none was as good as she was. One of them whispered something to her, and she giggled. Causing a smile to sprout on my own face.

To my best friend and brother, I whispered.

"I think I found her."
