Chapter 13| The Other Side of Me

Clark's POV

It was already six forty-five in the evening. I was at the venue where my first dinner date with Natasha would be conducted. Honestly, I was not considering this night as a date. It was just like, you were eating dinner and making chit-chat with her. That's all. No string attached.

After I entered the five-star hotel, an employee approached and greeted me. He immediately accommodated me on my way.

"Good evening, Sir Clark! This way," he greeted me and gave me his best smile. He motioned the way where the venue could be found. I already knew this place because we own this.

Oh! Let me rephrase that. My parents own this place but soon, the responsibility of this hotel will be put in my hands. It answered why the employee knew my name.

I sighed as I viewed the place. My mom undeniably planned this. I could see it in the romantic red color decorations all over the place. She was desperate for me and Natasha to be lovers someday.

I sat down at the table where our dinner place was reserved. The waiters also took care of me and gave me a glass of wine just to make me relax while waiting for my companion.

After a minute of waiting, the entrance door opened then I saw a fine lady. She walked towards my direction gracefully.

She had a sweet smile. She's tall, looks simple but yet elegant. She's indeed beautiful with her red dress which suits her porcelain skin. I was stunned!

Yes, I admitted it. She looked like one of the Goddesses of Mount Olympus in Greek Mythology. She was more gorgeous than before but nah! I was still not interested. I already have the most precious gem of my life which is my angel. The one and only, Angela.

I didn't care about her living status. I didn't mind if she's a low profile. All I know is I love her. Yes, I love her and I am waiting for the right time to take her hand and ask her to be my girlfriend. I didn't want to make everything too fast for her. It may freak her out if I did. To be honest I didn't know if we felt the same. It was much better to take it slow. Just like a quote, 'slowly but surely'.

"Hi."

I just came back to my senses when someone spoke in front of me. She flashed her sweet smile and waved her hand. I blinked a couple of times and cleared my throat. I sighed deeply and smiled a little at her as a response.

As a gentleman and to show my respect to a fine lady, I stood up and bowed my head a little then took her in her seat.

"Thank you," she uttered sweetly. I just nodded at her as a response. After that, we ordered something to eat. She ordered French cuisine while mine was Italian.

As time went by, I could say she was good in terms of conversation. She had a good sense of humor. We didn't talk about the business proposal of her dad. We didn't talk about the marriage which surprised me. She shared that our family business was stressful but we need to be mentally tough to come up with difficult times in the company. Learn to find new information, be productive, and be more resourceful at all times.

We were just talking like normal people, which gave me a comfortable feeling.

The dinner went well and I must say it was not bad to have a little conversation and eat dinner with Natasha. I wanted her to be my friend.

I hope she felt the same way.

Tok! Tok! Tok!

Master Clark!

Tok! Tok! Tok!

Master Clark!

I was woken up to a series of knocks I heard from my bedroom door. I slowly opened my eyes and blinked a couple of times.

Tok! Tok! Tok!

Master Clark!

"Wait for a second!" I shouted and lazily sat up on the bed.

What time is it?

I asked myself in the back of my mind as I looked at the digital clock on my bedside table. My eyes widened after I saw the time.

Nine forty-five in the morning?! What the f*ck?!

My sleeping spirit had woken up. I quickly got up from the bed and ran to the bathroom.

Shit! Why did I forget to alarm? I'm going to visit Angela today. For as long as I remember, she invited me to have breakfast together with her siblings.

I moved as fast as I could. Wishing to make this morning routine done soon.

After a few minutes of battling with bath hygiene stuff and the closet, I hurriedly got my car keys and ran outside the house.

"Master Clark! You forgot to take your breakfast!" Mrs. Belen shouted while holding a tray of food. Mrs. Belen is one of our maids in the mansion.

I mentally face-palm after hearing it. As far as I know, this maid was a very loyal servant to my mom and she would report that I skipped breakfast today.

I could do nothing but run back and pick up the loaf of bread and stuff it with hotdog and bacon. Then, I immediately went back to my car. I put the whole sandwich inside my mouth at once while tucking the long sleeves I was wearing.

My goodness! I have never done this kind of scene before! That is the reason why the eyes of our housemaids and caretakers are amazed and stunned by my sudden actions. They knew me as a calm and organized person but they didn't know that I could change in an instant because of Angela. She pulls out the other side of me. I can do things that I have rarely or never done in my twenty years of existence on this planet earth.

I smiled at that thought and started the car's engine. I drove it towards Angela's place.

I'm excited to be with her and to see her angelic face once again.
