Chapter 6

Chloe's POV:

I stood before the mirror, checking myself out over and over again. Marcus had picked out a white bridal dress for me. It was handless with diamonds glittering all over it. I hugged my breasts perfectly, pushing them out to form a very exposed cleavage, then hugged my stomach and hips even more tightly and flared out from my knees downwards.

I looked like a princess who was about to be coronated, or, I looked like a bride was waiting to be walked down the aisle. for my shoes, had also gotten me a pair of beautiful whit slippers heels but that didn't matter much now, because to he dress was covering the shoes.

No Lily today, so I only brushed my hand down, leaving it straight and it ended on my waist. Then for makeup, I helped myself to a red lipstick I had picked up somewhere in the drawers.

My eyes shone with excitement and I couldn't believe I was the same person who had been hesitating about two hours ago. Marcus had to beg untill his tongue almost withered before I agreed to step out of our rock house. I had been hesitant in my footsteps but once we reached the clearing that demarcated the woods from out little town, I couldn't help but increase my steps.

These lands were all mine as they were Marcus's and I would be damned, if I did not try towin over my subjects instead of running away from them. I would make sure to put in their place, anyone who tried to challenge me. That was what what queens did and mine could not be different.

The door was flung open and Marcus stepped in, a sharp breath escaped him as he raked me with admiring eyes. "Wow, wow, wow! My dearest Luna, you look as if the moon goddess has come down from her throne to bless us with her presence," he said, coming to give a bow before me.

I sent him a smile, trying hard to hide my blush. He came and wrapped his arms around me and I placed mine on his chest. I took in his outfit which consisted of a white three pieces tuxedo and black shoes which looked like they had cost a fortune. "You don't look bad yourself, I'll have to scowl all night to keep the ladies away," I sighed dramatically.

He took my face in his hand, making me look up at him. "You wouldn't have to, because my eyes would not be on any of them but only you. You have bewitched me, my little wolf..."

His head lowered to take my lips in a kiss but I moved away. "I don't want you ruining my lipstick, that kiss can wait-" the rest of my words died in my throat as he grabbed my hair and joined my kiss to his in a shattering kiss.

He started to feel me up, his hands moving more frantically and I knew the horny wolf would not mind ripped my dress to shreds only to have his way and I had to stop him from doing that.

"Marcus," my voice was muffled by his mouth.

"Hmm"

I finally pulled away, holding him back when he came to kiss me again. "No baby, our subjects are out there waiting for us," I said, wiping off the lipstick that stained his lips. I wondered what was left of mine, if he had that amount of lipstick on him.

"Then let them wait," he whined.

I laughed at how he acted like a wee baby, when he didn't get what he wanted. "I think you should wait, you'll have me all to yourself later tonight."

I think that should have appeased him because he no longer tried to rip off my dress. He wrapped his arms around me, dropping little kisses on my shoulder as I adjusted my lipstick. Soon I was done and Titus came to fetch us, saying that the hall was already filled with our guests and that everyone was waiting for us.

Marcus thanked and excused him, giving me sometime to prepare myself. My heart was racing fast, my excitement building up with every step we took towards the hall.

I paused when we got to the door and Marcus paused beside me, trying to look me in the face. "I look nervous right? Because I really am," I whispered, choking out a shaky laugh.

He leaned down to.drop a little peck on.my cheek. "No, you aren't nervous," he said like he knew something that I didn't. He should have seen the questioning look on my face because he smiled at me reassuring before speaking. "You are only excited, I would like you to describe it as that."

I nodded, letting go of his hand as he stepped forward to knock on the big double wooden doors. The door immediately parted open and the noise of the massive crowd filtered out to welcome us. "Phew! I really wish you hadn't invited other packs over, only our subjects would have been enough."

"No," he said in a firm tone, taking my arm back in his. "I want to show you to the whole world, let they all know how lucky I am to have the prettiest woman on earth."

I scoffed to hide my blush. "My own hype man. You flatter me too much for my own good, don't you think?"

"No, I don't."

We walked into the full room and just then, a waiter came to pass out drinks and I picked up a glass, watching how Marcus did same. He led me unto what looked to be the stage and I was thankful that while many had already noticed out presence, many had not. We turned to face the crowd and Marcus cleared his throat, immediately getting everyone's attention.

"Good evening Alphas, Betas, Gammas and Omegas. Thank you all for honouring our invitation, it means a lot to me and my beautiful woman," he paused, only to raise my hand to his lips and kiss the back of it. "Today, we gather here to celebrate the ascension of Chloe Tristan, upon the throne of the Blackwood clan as Luna of the pack. It is a joyous day for me and my subjects, and we wish you all to make merry with us as we celebrate!"

There was a round of applause. I would have said they gave a standing ovation if most of them weren't already on their feet. Marcus tugged on my arm and I turned to look at him, returning the charming smile he passed me.

I turned to my left when an over excited Lily rushed up the stage, followed by Mark and Titus. She looked like she was struggling not to pull me into a hug as she bounced on her toes, a wide grin plastered on her face. I looked towards Mark and Titus, also returning their smiles.

"And now," Marcus spoke up again, making me turn my attention back to him. "We begin the coronation!"

Just as if on cue, a man with a white long beard and long grey hair that swept the floor, stepped into the hall. He looked just about twenty five years old, but the length of his beard, his grey hair and wise eyes, made me believe that he could have lived many many centuries ago. Behind him a young boy trailed, with three diamond tiaras(one bigger than the other two), resting on a little pillow.

My eyes remained glued to the tiara, as I drank in it's beautiful sight. It was going to be mine soon!

"Kneel."

I trembled slightly as I was lost, not even realizing that the man was now in front of me. I look towards Marcus and he urged me to do as I have been told. I went on my knees in front of the man, my eyes fluttered close when he asked me to shut them.

"Today, you have been bestowed with the burden as Luna of this pack. We are gathered here to witness if the heavens see you worthy enough to bear the ancient crown that had been past down from millennium to millennium by Lunas before you."

The man ceased speaking, his hand coming to rest on my head as he muttered some incoherent words that sounded like an incantation. "Child, hand me the crown," he finally said.

I was confused if he was referring to me or the young lad holding the pillow, until Marcus nudged my side, urging me to do as the man had asked. With batted breath and shaky hands, I lifted the tiara from the pillow and handed it over to the man.

"Let the tiara find it's rightful owner," he said, releasing it into the air and the crowd gasped in wonder when it suspended on the air and started to spin. "Close your eyes child, let's see if the goddess approves of you. She would crown you herself."

I squeezed my eyes shut, holding my breath as I heard the spinning sound of the tiara. Everyone was quiet and the farther I heard it spin away from me, dread courses through my body as I began to tremble. I felt Marcus's hand on my shoulder, and I clutched unto his leg as I waited.

I hadn't expected when I felt the weight land on my head and the shock took we a while to recover from until I heard Lily's loud excited squeal and the whole hall rumbled in excited cheers.

Marcus help me up on my feet. I gasped, a little sob escaping my lips. I turned my attention back to the man with the beard, who silenced the crowd.

He gave me a fatherly smile, walking towards me. He took my hand, pulling me forward with him. "Wolves and she-wolves, I present you Luna Chloe!"

The cheers and clapping continued, and he asked me to give them a little bow, which I did.

"From today henceforth! You are no longer a Tristan but now a Blackwood. You are no longer only a mate, but also a wife."

My eyes quickly found Marcus's proud ones and I gave him a dazzling smile.

"Now child," I turned my attention back to the man. "Go and kneel before your husband and pledge your loyalty to him."

I did as I was told, holding Marcus's eyes as I went on my knees before him.

"Whatever I ask, I would like you to say: yes I will or yes I do, okay?"

I nodded, showing him that I understood what he was saying.

Marcus then started rattling off a series of promises and vows to which I accepted to wholeheartedly. It also got to my turn and I still did that on my knees, which didn't sit well with me but I had no option.

After we were done, he gave me a hand and I took it as he lifted me up. "From today henceforth, you are Chloe Zephora Blackwood," he proclaimed before sealing my lips to his in a kiss.

The crowds around us went wild as we displayed our love for each other. Marcus wouldn't let go, even when Mark told him to. Someone finally cleared their throat and that was when Marcus let go, causing everyone to laugh.

"Beta," the man called to Mark who stepped forward. "Crown your queen," he said, handing over one of the other two crowns to Mark.

Mark's eyes searched for Lily who was already walking towards him with a bright smile on her face. She knelt before him, her eyes looking into his as he made her his and placed the crown upon her head.

My heart warmth as I looked at them, their love for each other was so obvious. I then turned my questioning gaze to Marcus and he immediately read my thoughts.

"They can't crown the Beta queen or Gamma queen, until the Alpha crowns his Luna," he replied.

"And what if you never find yours until you die?"

He shrugged. "Then no coronation for them all. You can't crown a Beta without an Alpha, it's just the same thing with the queens," he said with a wink.

Well then, so be it!
