Chapter 2 "I will kill you"
**Rage boiled in his veins as he walked down the stairs, fuming. He had a glare on his face as he looked at the four females, who were about to assault each other.
With each step he took, he drilled fear into their hearts.
"What are you doing here, Irene?" He demanded, facing the model-like woman, his face cold and void of any emotion.
"What am I doing here?" She scoffed. "What kind of sick question is that? You know exactly why I am here. Stop acting like you don't understand, and stop acting all high and mighty in front of me. You and I both know that it doesn't work for me. It might work with these two here, but not with me. "
His face twitched as he watched the woman in front of him. He was fuming, and everyone could tell.
"What is going on, George? Do you know this woman? " Lisa's mother spoke.
Her words were heavy with anger as she spoke.
"Stay out of this, Mary. This does not concern you. " His voice was sharp, leaving no room for discussion.
Her mother stood staring at him as his words registered in her brain.
"How do you mean this does not concern me?" This is my house too, and I watched how a stupid bitch walked into my house, saying nonsense, and you are saying this doesn't concern me? " Mary yelled as she stared her husband right in the eyes.
"It doesn't now stay out of this, or else you won't like what happens next."
Lisa stared in shock, her jaw dropped, and she could not believe what her father had just said.
"Quit this drama, George. Tanya and I are sick of being in the dark. You have what you want. Don't you think it's time to reunite as a family? " She (Irene) said as she grabbed him by the collar, shaking him.
He grabbed her wrists and plunged them harshly, straightening his wrinkled clothes.
"And I told you that it wasn't time yet. What part of that don't you understand?" Her father snapped.
What were they talking about, and what did she mean by family?
"Hey!"
Her mother yelled, walking up to George and roughly spinning him to face her.
"What family is she talking about, and what nonsense are you saying, George? Is this some kind of joke you're playing? It's not funny."
"Get your hands off me!"
With that, he shoved her to the side, moving a few steps away from her.
"Do I look like I am joking here to you? Do you see me laughing? I thought you were smart enough to figure out by now who she is to me. "
Lisa's knees crashed onto the floor hard as she stared speechlessly at her father.
"W–what? What do you mean by who she is to you? Explain yourself right now, George." Her mother insisted.
"You want an answer?" A voice spoke from behind. Lisa recognised the owner.Tanya
That was the name Irene had called her, so she guessed it was hers.
"I would be glad to tell you the truth. This man standing before you is none other than my father. " Tanya pointed at George, who stood there calmly without uttering a word of denial.
"It isn't true." She muttered to herself.
"This isn't true. Tell her George, maybe she got the wrong person." She shook her head repeatedly in denial.
"She is telling the truth, Mary. I am her father, and I can't deny that. " He spoke calmly.
"No, this isn't real." She muttered as she took a step back.
"This is not real. I am still on the bed, and this is all a nightmare, which will all fade away." She laughed, as tears made their way down her cheeks.
"Unfortunately, this is all real Mary. I was going to tell you sooner or later, but I didn't think that she would barge in here, apologetic to drop the news on you like this. " He dropped his head a little.
"You can't be serious, George. Please, just please, tell me it isn't true. I would just deny it, and I would send them out in no time. " She still couldn't wrap her head around the fact that her husband could do something like this to her.
"What part of "this is all true" don't you understand, woman?" Irene snapped, yelling at the crying woman in front of them.
"Shut up!" Lisa yelled, speaking for the first time since her father came into the room.
"Shut up, you don't know anything about my father. What you are saying isn't true. My father would never cheat on my mom, no matter what, because he loves her. You are both lying to him and only manipulating him because you want something from him. "
"Yes, why didn't I think of that? What do you want, and how much should I pay you, to stop manipulating my husband? Name your price and am willing to pay the cost. " Her mother spoke, as she walked toward Irene.
"Get away from me, you crazy bitch."
Irene said as she pushed Mary to the floor, once she was close enough.
"I can't believe you were married to a psycho all these years, George. No surprise, when you always came to me, all those nights. Tch, pathetic. " She said as she started at Mary with disgust in her eyes.
"I will kill you!"
Her mother let out a battle cry, as she flung herself at Irene.
"Mom!"
Lisa called, as she made her way, to grab her mother from attacking Irene.
She tackled her mother, just in time, as she was mere inches away from getting close to Irene, who stood frozen in shock.
"Are you out of your mind, Mary?" George yelled as he stood in front of Irene, shielding her from Mary's attacks.
"Is this how to behave? I thought you were an adult. You were meant to take this calmly. I never knew you would resort to violence, I expected better from you." He glared at her.
"And I expected better from you, George, but this was what I got from loving you, and you want me to behave like an adult? Fuck that! I don't want it."
Lisa held her mother as taught as she could, restraining her.
This was the first time she had heard her mother curse more than once in a day.
"I never asked you to want it, because the deed was already done. I was hoping you would accept it."
"Accept it? You mean, accept the reality that you have a mistress and a daughter outside our marriage, and also, want them to move in with us. You want to make this a happy family, is that it?"
"What?" Lisa stared at her father, dumbfounded at her mother's words.
"Over my dead body, George!"
Irene spoke up, her voice louder than usual, as she stepped forward, for him to see his face.
"Never, would I let this animal, and that...that daughter of hers, stay in the same house with me. I refuse to allow it to happen." She said as she pointed at Mary and Lisa.
"And you think that I would sleep, under the same roof as you?" She laughed dryly. "Glad we have something we agree on, and you are calling me an animal? Have you seen yourself lately? Seems like a lot of people have been deceiving you."
"How dare you!"
As she walked angrily, Irene clenched her fists.
She stopped, once in front of Mary. She raised her right hand and swung it.
Her palm connected to Mary's face, and for once, the room was silent.
Mary's face swung to the side, due to the force and impact. She felt the sting on her face.
She had expected it, but she wasn't quick enough to react.
She stared at the marble floor beneath her, her face unmoving.
Her eyes stung, and her heart bricked.
George stood, with his eyes bulging, but could not say a word in her defence.
"Mom!"
Lisa called out to her mother, once she got over her shock.
She turned to Irene, her face hard, and red in resentment.
"What gave you the liberty to hit my mom, you witch!"
"Don't talk to your elders like that, Lisa!"
Her father howled from where he stood.
"How could you expect me to respect her when she just slapped my mom? You saw that, and this is what you have to say?" She demanded.
"That's because your mom was trying to attack her first. It was self-defence, and you know that. "
Lis stared at her father, no words coming out of her mouth, as she gaped at him.
To think, that was the same man she called her dad.
"You call that self-defence? From what exactly? I have been restraining Mom since, and she hasn't attempted to hit anyone. She is your wife, not that witch standing beside you. " Steam appeared from her ears, as angry tears rolled down her eyes.
"Leave them. It's no use trying to talk with them. Let's leave. " Her mother spoke, for the first time in forever.
"Really?"
"You are not going to say or do anything, and just let them win?" Lisa growled as she stared at the faces around her.
Irene's face had a dark grin on it, and Tanya's looked elated.
"Drop it, it's no use trying to argue with them. One of us has to leave, and it certainly isn't them. Cant, you see that? "
Her mother sounded crushed.
"Am glad you made your decision, I would have the guards pack your luggage and an agent of mine fix you an apartment."
Mary laughed dryly, as more tears ran down her cheeks, her heart breaking into bits.
"You aren't going to try and stop me from leaving?"
She watched as he threw his head to the other flank, her heart broken beyond repair.
"We have been married for twenty years, George, and this is how you are going to end this?" She chuckled. "l should have known from the start, but I chose to ignore it."
"Don't worry though, we won't be needing anything from you, I am sure we will do just fine on our own." She sniffed as she stood on her feet.
"Come on Lisa, it's time to leave," Mary said, as she stretched out her hand to pull Lisa up from the bed, once they had finished packing their suitcase.
They walked out of the mansion, never looking back once.
