5 - Unexpected

"WHERE have you gone, wifey?"

When she heard Theon's voice, Jackylyn was taken aback and wondered if she would go out or if she would listen to the man while chatting to his wife. She selected the latter after he took a long breath. Even though it was impolite to listen, she opened the door with a small gap and listened to Theon.

"You never tell me where you are."

Theon's unpaintable look was visible to her. His eyes drew a pained expression on its handsome face. She was puzzled as to why he was in pain, but she was also sorry.

"All right, I got it. Don't worry, honey; I know…"

He's in pain and seemed to want to approach him and tap him on the shoulder, but what would that mean for the man? They are still strangers to each other, and she does not know if she will see Theon again until tomorrow, `coz after this, she will be disappeared.

"Just take care and I..." Theon didn't finish what he was going to say, so he turned off his phone and murmured the word 'I love you' into the air, which prompted it to enter its cabin and close the door.

Her chest tightened at the sight; strange as it may seem, she was the one who was hurt by Theon's reaction; despite the fact that it had nothing to say, she could hear the pain in its voice.

She then exited the cabin and proceeded to the deck, where she could enjoy the endless view of the sea and the beautiful sky. Today is a beautiful day, and the thing makes her smile. She imagined herself on the man's yacht, but it was impossible for her to imagine, so whatever she felt against him, she would forget.

Even though it hadn't come out since earlier, she was worried. She was also hungry and her stomach was complaining, so she only dared to cook whatever food she could find inside the refrigerator that was there, hoping Theon wouldn't be angry if she interfered in the kitchen.

Her favorite homemade dish was a Sautéed Shrimp with String Bean and Sour Shrimp Soup, which she made when she saw the shrimp. It was perfect for cold nights and her hungry stomach. She had also been able to cook her own dish for a long time. She smiled when she tasted the food, her mixture was just right, and before she could finish it, she went to the cabin to call Theon to eat.

She inhaled deeply before knocking on the door, which she did several times before it opened. She looked down to see him just waking up, his hair messy, topless, and in boxer shorts, and her eyes widened as if she were being sucked in every time she looked at his blue eyes.

"Yes?"

"A-ah, I'm sorry if I woke you up and messed with your refrigerator; I-I've already prepared food for you to eat." God! She was jittery and apprehensive. She wanted to scold herself for being so forthright in her response.

It didn't say anything back. Her embarrassment grew. When she looked up, she noticed him staring at her, and her entire cheek flushed.

"I'll come after you, but eat first," it said, and went back inside.

She opened her lips to say something else, but the door opened and welcomed her. She was out of breath, and he didn't appear pleased with her interference, but she was hungry as well.

She returned to the dining room quietly and ate by herself. She appreciated the cooked food because it was her mother's favorite, and she wanted to remember it forever. She went to the flying bridge and sat after she had eaten and washed the dishes. She didn't move while she stared at the navigations. She embraced herself when she looked up because the wind was strong. Unlike last night, when she could see the black sky, she could almost see the sun shining brightly.

Even though she couldn't see anything, she messed with her short hair while attempting to count the stars. She does something to divert her attention so that she can think clearly before going to bed. She shuts her eyes and takes a deep breath in, allowing the chilly air to caress her cheek. But when she felt a few drops of rain, it was just a matter of time until she got out of her seat.

God! It's pouring outside. It's time for me to enter. She sped away going to her cabin.

"What makes you hurry?" Theon asked when she met the man.

Before speaking, she bowed briefly. "I'm going in as it's raining. Did you eat?"

"Yes, I'm finished eating," it said, nodding and smiling. "By the way, I really like the food you made; it reminds me of old times."

She blushed as she heard what Theon had to say, and she quickly said him goodbyes and went inside. She may be unable to look away from his beautiful, piercing blue eyes.

However, she was only a few steps away from the entrance when the rain began to pour heavily. She's getting smaller and smaller. What's the deal with the rain? When the heavens cries, she despises it. She cried for no apparent cause at all too! She went to bed and wrapped herself in a blanket; all she wants to do now is relax so that she can face another struggle in her life tomorrow.

"Jacky!"

She was startled when she heard a loud knock on the door. She fell asleep, and it wasn't until she awoke that she realized the room was spinning. It was raining heavily, with thunder and lightning, as she could see through the glass roof. God! She dashed to the door and flung it open, Theon's wet expression playing out in front of her. Because of the concern she sees in his eyes now, there appears to be a problem. He snatched her arm and dragged her away.

“Wait! What exactly is going on?" God! She can't swim and she doesn't want to die in the middle of the sea. She still has a lot to do in her life.

"I'll explain later, Jacky, but for now, put on this life jacket. We don't know what's going to happen."

It was only then that she noticed Theon was wearing a life jacket. Her body almost trembled with nervousness as she realized they were about to sink. She immediately put on the life jacket and Theon hand moved quickly to clutch her hand tightly.

Theon simply stared at her. "Let's go!" He drew her out, but she quickly stopped when she remembered her bag. She desperately wanted to return to it, but Theon pulled her away.

She simply closes her eyes and follows the man's orders. As the heavy rain greeted them, she sighed. She could feel the rain panning her face due to its ferocity. Because of the strength of the waves that almost swayed them in the middle of the sea, she might have sunk to the water sooner if Theon hadn't been able to help her.

"Whatever happens, please don't let go of my hand. Do you hear what I'm saying, Jacky?"

She nodded, unable to speak because the sea water had preceded her, slamming into the two of them angrily. She screamed in terror, despite the fact that she knew no one could hear her.

"Hey-hey, I'm here! Don't let go of my hand, because I won't!"

"I'm terrified!" she exclaimed as well. She began to tremble, and no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't stop herself.

"Hey, Jacky, pay attention to what I'm saying. It's not the time to get panicked, okay? You'll be protected as long as I'm here. Just make sure you don't let go of my hand!”

She felt safe since he grasped her hand tightly. She found a way to relax and trust that he would not let her down. She silently prayed that no matter what happened, they would survive. There is a wife waiting for the man, and she has a lot of things planned for the future.

As the wave hit them again, Theon hugged her. If she were to be interrogated, she would be dizzy and terrified. She only drew strength from Theon, who is fearless. He took her hand in his and made her feel secure.

Theon dragged her to the flying bridge, but she couldn't see where they were heading due to the torrential rain. God! When her foot slipped, she screamed. Fortunately, Theon caught up with her quickly and cautioned her to take each step carefully.

“Fuck! This yacht will be sunk! ”

She was taken aback by what he said and took a quick look around. It wasn't until then that she realized they were about to sink! The water began to pour in, and she could see how the water was slowly suffocating them.

"Theon!"

"I'm here, Jacky, I'm here!"

She knew Theon was there, and he was right beside her, but she was afraid the yacht they were on might sink now.

"Jacky, we need to take a leap. I'll count to three, is that clear?"

"God!"

"One!"

She closes her eyes, knowing that she must be brave because she is wearing a life jacket, but what if they don't make it? What will happen next?

"Two..."

"Three!"

They jump into the water. It almost froze her soul. The water immediately swallowed them up but because they're wearing life jacket, they float up. They both gasped air!

She was moved to tears when she saw the yacht completely sink with her bag in it, and she turned to Theon when the thunder and long lightning drew in the sky, and she could see that Theon was also looking at the yacht, and like her, she knew it was in tears over what had happened.

They still held hands and then pulled her away, but she felt useless wearing her life jacket because of the heavy rain and waves, and she appeared to be drowning and having difficulty breathing in the seawater that had hit the two of them several times. Can they still survive it? Can she still catch up on the day? Was her decision to leave and run wrong?

When lightning strikes the dark sky again, she closes her eyes; her body was already trembling, and when the big wave struck again, she was accidentally released from the man's grip.

No! She called out Theon's name because she couldn't see anything in the pitch blackness; only lightning provides light.

"Theon!!!"

She began to cry, and no matter what she yelled in his name, only thunder and lightning answered her call, and the rain never stopped pouring. No! No! She wanted to be hysterical, hoping that nothing bad had happened to him. She called his name again, but nothing. This is where she will most likely die in the middle of this sea. If that is the case, she is willing to accept it.

When the strong current hits her again, she closes her eyes firmly. She was swallowed by the sea, and everything around her went black, and she had no idea what was going to happen next.

"Jacky!" Theon yelled loudly. He stated that he would not let go of her hand no matter what, but he was not expecting what happened next. Jacky let go of his grip unexpectedly.
