Chapter 1

Feelings. Emotions. Sympathy. Empathy.

These four are the fundamental and common characteristics for a person to be called a human." They say being a person is easy but being a human is not that easy. In this world full of cruelty, how do you expect someone to honor humanity?

What if a person lacks feeling, emotion, sympathy, and empathy? What would happen? Does it still consider normal or not? Is living without feeling anything is okay? Is this kind of life worth living, or is it like a living hell placed on the surface of the Earth? What if you do not feel any emotions? Are you considered normal? Or are you considered a threat to society?

"I had rather live without feeling the physical pain than live without feeling emotions," said the woman who has an Alexithymia.

Is living with Alexithymia is worth living for?

Emotional. Physical. Mental. Spiritual

These are the four basic dimensions of health. As what people say, in order to for you to determine that you are normal, you must feel pain emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and physically. But what if you are lacking in the most basic units of life that could greatly determine whether you are accepted or not? What if you do not feel physical pain? Are you considered normal? Or are you considered numb in society?

"I wish I could live without any emotions than live without feeling physical pain," said the man who has Congenital Analgesia.

Is living with Congenital Analgesia is worth living for?

Celestine Winter Millstein is a woman who has alexithymia, a subclinical phenomenon involving a lack of emotional awareness. She has difficulty determining her and other people's emotions. She is cold, distant, and emotionally numb.

Grant Sunday Wilheim, a man who has Congenital Analgesia, is a severe medical condition involving a lack of pain awareness. He does not feel pain, and he also lacks five senses. He is a lovely and kind man, but he is physically numb.

But what if the two of them clashed together and became contract lovers? Will they handle and understand each other because of their contradicting conditions? Will they fall in love, or will they plan to part ways? And will love to suffice their past experiences and pain?

.....................................

"Good evening, ladies and Gentlemen, Welcome to the Catorce Paradise of Luna—the Island of Lunacy," said the emcee in the center stage as the audience chuckled because of what they heard.

This place is called the Paradise Island of Luna because you will go crazy over it when you see this place. It will make you feel lunatic as what the island named Luna. This island is owned by fourteen families who are all billionaires on their own.

Wilheim, Millstein, Milty, Stonroe, Beaumont, Velazquez, Almedo, Recolano, Hassano, Laxy, Beech, Stanue, and Prada. These families are owners of different businesses worldwide, such as airports, hotels, supermarkets, gasoline, cars, entertainment, restaurant, etc.

The daughters and sons of these families are already paired as what the parents have promised to benefit all families and the benefit of their children.

On the other hand, the sons and daughters attached themselves as early as possible as their parents told them they would marry one of the fourteen families.

"—It is my wish to introduce to you the Wilheim and Millstein"s Clan as our stars that will shine for tonight. As what was written in everyone"s invitation, the Wilheim Group of Companies decided to unite with Millstein"s Chain and Hotels to honor the harmonization of beliefs of each family—"

Grant Sunday Wilheim was just listening to the emcee the backstage. Today was the day to announce that the Catorse Family has begun the culture of each families" beliefs.

Grant was born to obey what his parents told him to do, and he never thought of it on a gloomy day. He had always been kind to his parents and his twin, Saturday. His life must have been complete if he could just feel sensations. His life must have been happier if he could taste the cold of ice cream, the warmth of a hot coffee, the feeling of being out of breath, the pleasure of sex, and the smell of his favorite food.

Grant has a severe medical condition called Congenital Analgesia. He is a CIP Patient or Congenital Insensitivity to Pain Patient. He does not feel pain no matter how someone punch, kick or stab him. Since he could not feel sensations, it all affected his sense of smell and feeling of taste. His condition rendered him from being free, and he always had someone take care of him. And that someone was—

"—You are about to witness how Millstein and Wilheim start the culture of the Catorse Family. Now, it is my pleasure to welcome you, the heiress of Millstein"s Chain and Hotels, Celestine Winter Millestein! Let us give her a round of applause," the emcee said as she welcomed Celestine Winter on the stage.

Everyone in the crowd was stunned and amazed by the gorgeous woman who had entered the stage. Some were awed by Celestine Winter. She looked like a goddess in her peach-colored, colorfully beaded bon dice, off-shoulder design with adjustable back lace. That gown is a princess cut that has a trail in the long run. It looked so elegant, and it cost worth eight-thousand dollars.

Celestine"s makeup was just a simple one but with glam and elegant vibes on it. Her gown was partnered with a shining silver pair of shoes worth more than ten thousand dollars. She was really stunning, a really living princess and the Earth.

The daughters and sons of the Catorse Family are cheering and shouting for Celestine on the stage, but Celestine remains emotionless. Even when her friends and families were cheering on her, she had no expression.

"Smile, Winter!" Lunalyn said. One of Celestine"s friends and one of the daughters of the Catorse family. Her name is Maria Lunalyn from Milty Family.

"Give us at least a little smile, Sweetheart," Bettina said. She is the mother of Celestine.

On the other hand, Celestine went confused, asking herself why her family and friends told her to smile when there was no reason to smile. She kept asking herself why those people in the crowd were smiling and clapping when she could not determine what those emotions and actions meant.

Well, Celestine was fully aware that she had Alexithymia. A subclinical phenomenon where she could not determine her own emotions and could also not determine other people"s emotions. Some people call her stone royalty as she does not show anything on her face.

The thoughts of Winter were interrupted when the emcee spoke again in the microphone.

"But... the night would not be complete if we would not see the soon-to-be partner of our beautiful princess here beside me," emcee paused and motioned her hand on Winter, who looked still emotionless..

Winter was confused but it was not shown in her face because she did not know how to make it.

Partner? What is the emcee talking about?
