Chapter 9

Larissa was worthy of being the Alpha of a wolf pack, and her words were extremely provocative.

A number of people had already cast sympathetic glances at me.

"Lydia, I never knew you lived a life like this." A girl who looked somewhat familiar said to me, "I'm sorry I ever called you ungrateful."

"It's okay." I smiled at the girl, to me she was just a stranger that I had met a few times, and since I got my new life, I didn't care at all what people thought of me.

"What proof do you have that we treated Lydia like you said!" Amara stood up and pointed her finger at Larissa, her eyes were full of anger, "We treated Lydia well enough, you shouldn't have beaten Dylan without proof! Lydia said this to you, right? Lydia has been very jealous since she was a child, and I admit that we didn't treat Lydia better than we treated Kelly, but it wasn't as bad as you say. It must be Lydia, she made up such a false story in order to make you feel more sorry for her!"

I have to say, Amara is really a smart woman, but just a few words, and let the girl who just came forward to apologize to me silently away from me.

"You want proof, don't you?" Larissa slapped the hand that had just hit Dylan, "Then I'll give you a proof."

No need for Larissa to continue to say anything, Joseph showed all the evidence to prove that Larissa was telling the truth in front of everyone, which finally made the Kelly family lose the idea of sophistry.

"I don't know why you guys are doing this! If you guys don't like Lydia, why don't you give her to the Alpha of Dawn Pack?"

"They're just there to make people think they're nice."

"I never thought Dawn Pack would have people like this."

The accusations of the onlookers were like a dagger, stabbing Kelly's family could not raise their heads, I looked at the embarrassed three, and there was a sense of relief after the pleasure in my heart. Since that moment, I finally completely said "Forever goodbye!" to my miserable past .

"Come on, Lydia," Larissa said softly, then turned and walked toward the residence Dawn Pack had arranged.

I took one last look at Kelly's family, Kelly also looked up at me, her eyes were no longer the kind of pride and contempt, I could see from her eyes that she hated me, probably she was still asking the Moon Goddess in her heart, why I was still alive after falling down the waterfall.

"Good luck, Kelly," I said, flashing a smile at Kelly.

Kelly's eyes were frighteningly red as she released her hold on Dylan's hand and rushed toward me.

Kelly just turned into hes wolf form in front of everyone and shouted, "You fucking bitch! Why the hell did you come back!"

The sharp wolf's teeth came at me. Poor Kelly, she didn't even know that she was not facing the past Lydia who hadn't even awakened as a wolf.

"Nina, are you ready?" I asked Nina in my head, "It's game time."

The next moment, I also turned into my wolf form and bent down to dodge Kelly's wolf teeth.

Seeing my wolf form, Kelly was so shocked that she even forgot to continue her attack.

This was the best time for me to counterattack, and I jumped up high after building up my strength and swung my wolf claws straight down towards Kelly's head.

Kelly tried to dodge, but she was still too slow for me, and a claw slap to her face turned her back into a human.

Kelly's face had three scary scratches and was still bleeding. She, however, seemed to be completely oblivious to it and just looked at me in amazement, "You have your own wolf?"

I didn't want to continue talking to Kelly anymore and turned to leave.

"Lydia!" the young girl from earlier followed again, "My name is Sunnee."

"Hello, Sunnee," I didn't want to talk to Sunnee either, I still remembered the way she sneaked away from me just now, she was just a normal teenage girl who was a nose of wax.

"You have your own wolf?" Sunnee kept asking me questions as if she couldn't sense my rejection of her, "How on earth did you get so strong, the last time I saw you was your eighteenth birthday. Remember? At that time, you didn't have your own wolf, but now, you can easily defeat Kelly. You know, Kelly is one of the strongest young female warriors in Dawn Pack."

"Excuse me, young lady, my daughter is tired, can you wait until the wolf pack fight to ask anything?" Larissa stepped in front of me, as she always did.

"Lydia will be in the scramble?" Sunnee was even more surprised, "In what capacity?"

"As the future Alpha of Glory Pack." Larissa replied to Sunnee in a good mood and then said goodbye to her again.

After Sunnee left, Larissa looked at me with satisfaction in her eyes, "Well done, Lydia. now that everyone knows you're not to be messed with, no one will continue to come after you."

"It better be." I replied to Larissa with a smile in return.

We all knew who the words were addressed to, and Kelly was still standing in place, keeping that shocked look on her face as she watched us.

Elvis's POV

When there was a knock on the door of my room, I was choosing what I would wear at the wolf fight.

"What do you think of this one?" I asked Elvo as I placed a black combat suit in front of me and looked in the mirror.

"It's pretty good." Elvo said.

"Can you be serious, Elvo? That's the tenth 'pretty good' you've said in twenty minutes." I angrily tossed my battle suit back into the closet.

"There's really no way I can tell the difference between this one and the last one, or even tell you how it differs from the first one you tried."

"This one has my name embroidered on the sleeve! The last one didn't, and the buttons on this one are gray and the last one was black." I argued with Elvo unconvincingly, these clothes were obviously very different, and I couldn't understand why Elvo was so retarded.

"Okay, I admit I'm not that meticulous." Elvo said helplessly, "But why did you spend so much time on picking out your clothes? I remember the first few Wolf Pack fights, you only had first place in mind."

"Lydia's coming too." I whispered, then blushed at Elvo's mockery.

Suddenly there was a knock on the door of the room, and it sounded like the person knocking was so anxious that he even tried to push the door open and walk right in.

I threw all my clothes into the closet as fast as I could, then closed the closet door as soon as I could and sat down at my desk and pretended I was reading a book.

"Come in." I casually flipped a page of the book in my hand.

"Elvis!" Kelly pushed the door open and ran up to me, her face with three scratches that hurt at first glance, "I have something to tell you!"

Amara and Dylan also walked in behind Kelly, with Amara holding Dylan, who also had a badly bruised face.

I subconsciously moved back a little, worried about Kelly's blood flowing onto me.

Since learning about the Dylan's family and Gavin, I had deliberately stayed away from them, while silently gathering a lot of evidence that would kick Gavin out of his position as an elder.

"Lydia came back and beat up my father with Glory Pack's men!" Kelly completely missed my dislike for her and sounded eager, "You must punish her properly!"

I furrowed my eyebrows, wondering why Kelly was so sure I would help her, had she always taken me for a fool?

"Yes, Elvis," Amara echoes Kelly, "Lydia is so uninformed."

I couldn't accept them discrediting Lydia in this way, and flung the evidence I had gathered over the days directly in front of Kelly, "Why don't you explain to me what all this means before you let me punish Lydia?"

Kelly's face became more and more ugly as she flipped through the information, and in the end, she couldn't say a word and just stood awkwardly.

"Now, I'm going to kick you all out of the pack house," I stood up from my chair, "And I'm in no position to punish Lydia. She is now the alpha heir to Glory Pack. Even if I had the qualifications, I wouldn't do it."

My men took the Dylan's family out of my room, but Amara obviously couldn't accept the outcome and kept screaming that all of us had been tricked by Lydia.

Ignoring Amara the shrew, I went straight to the room of Dawn Pack's current Alpha, my father Alfredo, with the information I had put together.

Perhaps I wouldn't have told Alfredo everything so quickly if the Dylan's family hadn't reached out to me.

After listening to me, Alfredo went through the information carefully and then casually put it aside.

Alfredo looked at me and asked, "What do you think should be done about this?"

"I have ordered the Dylan's family out around the pack house, they flaunted it with everyone when they moved here, now having them back in that isolated house is the best punishment for the vain family. As for Gavin, he is the elder of Dawn Pack and should be dealt with by the Alpha."

"If you were the Alpha, what would you do?" Alfredo reached out and touched his chin.

"I would kick Gavin out of his position as an elder and find someone more capable to replace him. There also needs to be a careful examination of all his possessions; I don't believe an elder could have such a large fortune."

Although it seems to me that Gavin's offer to exchange Lydia was very modest, for an elder of Gavin's caliber, that would be a great deal of money.

"Very well." Alfredo's eyes showed satisfaction as he nodded gently, "Just do as you say, I'll give you the right to handle this matter."

"Elvis, you've really matured a lot." Alfredo looked at me and raised the information in his hand, "If it was you a few months ago, I don't think I would have seen such a wonderful investigative report. Nor would I have heard such a reasonable disposition."

I humbly bowed my head and accepted Alfredo's praise.

But I knew that it was all because of Lydia, who changed me, and I began to learn to curb my arrogance.

It's been almost a week since Lydia and I last met, and I couldn't wait to tell Lydia how I punished the Dylan's family and Gavin.
