CHAPTER 6

When we finally reached my territory, I immediately got off and ran down the road to my house. Because the whole time we were traveling, my mind was filled with nothing but what Shiena had said earlier that the man who had been sleeping for almost two days was awake. I also don't understand why my heart was beating so fast while I was thinking that he didn't come from that place.

But even so, I would still prefer to be able to confirm from him the truth or where he really came from, because as the leader of this place, I will still prioritize the welfare of my people over a strange man who suddenly appeared in the place which I lead.

"Welcome, Alpha." a Pack Warrior greeted me outside my house.

When I opened the door, it immediately followed me. "How's it going?"

"There was no problem, Alpha. But Doctor Shiena, there was," I stopped in front of the stairs when I heard what he said.

I turned to him and confusedly repeated what he said. "Can you repeat that? Is there any problem with Shiena?" It immediately nodded to my question.

"What's wrong with her?"

"I'm sorry, Alpha. But she didn't tell me what the problem was, because before you came here, we could sense her panic going down to the living room and going to the kitchen. She also told us that no one would go up to the second floor until you come," he gave me a long answer.

I didn't know that girl was panicking? I took a deep breath and looked up the stairs again up to the second floor. I immediately turned to the person I was talking to and patted his shoulder.

"Thank you for telling me the truth. Stay on guard here and don't let David and Felix go upstairs when they come in, I'll take care of Shiena." It followed immediately so I quickly went up to the second floor, I sped up my pace to get to the room where that man was staying.

And when I got to the front door and was about to touch the sedura, I was very surprised because Shiena opened the door for me. When he saw me in front of him, he quickly closed the door and immediately pulled me away from there. Although confused, I just followed until we stopped at the edge of a window

"What the hell, man? You should have told me when you were here!" She shouted as her eyes widened looking at me.

I raised an eyebrow because of what he said, "Shiena, this is my house, do I need to tell you that?"

"Yes of course!"

I sighed again. "Yeah, yeah. How is he? He's awake isn't he? I'll check on him first." I answered Shiena and was about to walk back to that room but I was immediately surprised when he suddenly pulled me back using the end of my shirt. I only have a little patience because of what she's doing, I only came here for one thing and that is to see that man.

"Wait—just wait, Alec!"

"What is it again?" I asked tiredly when she managed to bring me back to where I was standing in front of her earlier.

I noticed the frustration on her face to make me wonder. I know Shiena, even though this girl is like this, she doesn't immediately get frustrated because of small little things. Because I feel worried I came closer to her and held her shoulders. "What's wrong? Is there something wrong with him?" I pointed to the man in the room

But she shrugged my hands away from her and then she looked at me again. "Yeah. You should see him, but please, hide your scent. He's an Omega, Alec. He can be affected to any Alpha's scent." I nodded after she reminded that.

She still didn't answer my question but I just shrugged it off, she'll eventually tell me what was happening. I'm a little worried but I don't want to force her to tell me that.

When Shiena walked to where the room was, and when we stopped in front of it, I saw how she took a deep breath and then open the door. I'm anticipated what'll I saw inside. When the door opened I looked inside and in the bed, I saw him sitting comfortably while talking to one she-wolf. The woman he's talking too was holding a bowl of porridge.

"Guys, the Alpha is here." When the three she-wolves inside the room heard what Shiena said, they automatically stood up and looked at the door, their eyes focused directly on me.

But my eyes are looking at the man that was sitting on the bed. I'm a little surprise when he looked at me too and then I saw the color of his eyes, it was blue, beautiful as the sky in summer.

Is that a coincidence? Because I like summer too.

"G-good afternoon, Alpha." They said in unison. When I nodded to them they looked to Shiena, she nodded her head too like she was ordered them to go out of the room.

But I stop them. I want them to stay here more and help the man, I don't know but I feel like it's gonna get awkward between of me and him if we left here alone.

But why do I think that I am awkward? Okay! The only reason it's because I feel something inside me when I looked into his eyes. I don't know what's happening so before it gets worse I whispered to Shiena that I needed to go out. Even though she didn't say anything, I came out of that room like a wind and went straight to the place where Shiena and I came from a while ago.

My eyes widened as I listened to my heart beating fast. I know it's weird but why I am feeling like this? I just get inside of the room for how many fucking minutes, looked into his eyes and what the fuck is this?

No... I need to calm down, I need to breath deeply. I don't want my heart to be out of my chest okay! I don't want to die so early!

But before I even doing the inhale and exhale part to calm my fucking self, I almost jumped in shock when I felt a strong hand hit my back and a voice that came in second. "Hey—"

"Oh, shit!" I shouted loudly at whoever it was and my eyes almost popped out of shock because the only person behind me was Shiena!

Ugh! I feel like my heart is going to come out from my ribcage!

"The hell? This is the first time that you—hey! Hey! Breath Alec! Shit! What's happening to you!" She shouted as she guided me to sit down in an empty chair on the second floor.

Fuck! I suddenly felt difficulty breathing and Shiena's worried face suddenly entered my mind. Shit. I don't want her to worry again just because I was surprised by what she did earlier and on what I am doing listening to my own fucking heart?

"Hey? What? Are you okay now? Do I need to check you up? How's your breath? Is that normal now? How about your heart?" Shiena asked me without stopping and I suddenly closed my eyes, I felt like my ears were going to bleed from her voice.

"Can you shut up for a minute? Haa... what the fuck is wrong with me..." I whispered.

This is the first time I feel this. This weird shit.

"How can I stop if you're being like that? I'm worried, Alec. Can you tell me what the hell is wrong with you? After you entered the room not even five minutes had passed and you went out immediately and suddenly you have trouble breathing? What is really happening to you?"

I also do not know. I didn't know what to answer to Shiena so I just kept quiet. Until I felt her sit in the empty seat in front of me so I suddenly looked at her wondering. But I catch her looking at me.

"What? What are you staring at me like that?" I asked but she suddenly smiled that sent shivers to my spine.

"You're a big guy, Alec."

"What? I'm normal okay? It's normal to feel this!" I shouted at her in annoyance.

"Yeah yeah. I pretend that I knoe. But, are you surprised?"

"Surprise about what?"

"His eyes." After she said that, his eyes suddenly popped out into my mind and because of that my eyebrows furrowed when my heartbeat becoming fast.

What the hell?!

"Fuck."

"What? Why are you whispering, Alec?" she asked in a little annoyed.

I shook my head. "Nothing. So what about his eyes?" i asked while ignoring my quickening heartbeat.

Stop! He's a stranger in my own territory! I didn't even know where he came from! And I don't even know his name!

"Oh? His eyes are rare for an Omega plus he was a guy," she answered while looking at the window on the other side. I feel like she was in deep thought after that.

"Yeah. It's my first time too... that I saw such rare... and pretty eyes..." I didn't know why I was still mesmerized to that part of him.

I know that I already stared at his pretty face when he was sleeping peacefully but I didn't know that he was prettier with such eyes. Do I say many compliments to him? And why do I keep on thinking about him? His eyes? His pretty face? Oh, shit.

"Do you already check his health after we got here?" I asked a different question.

She looked at me and nodded. "Good, then what happened after he woke up?"

"I'm not in his room when he woke up, I went to the kitchen to get something to eat. Fortunately, what I took from the kitchen were fruits, then when I returned upstairs, I saw that he was already awake. I was relief that he didn't seem shocked that he was lying in a comfortable bed." She laugh after that.

I don't get why she laugh about that?

"And then he asked me where is he and then I answered where territory currently he was. That's the reason why I saw him surprised, I asked why but he didn't answer. Then I let him eat the fruits that I am holding, after that I excuse myself because before I called you, I am preventing myself to yell cause how beautiful his eyes were! I even called the she-wolf on the kitchen to prepare a porridge for him and then after that you came. The end."

After she said all that, I recall her story. I didn't found what I was hoping to heard something weird or off, but I did find it.

"Did he... ask where he was right?" I asked and Shiena nodded. "Did he asked where is the Alpha or there's something visible in his face after he answered you or after you ask him why?"

After I asked those to her, after, I saw how she frowned while thinking about what I said. And Shiena was about to answer, we heard a loud crashed inside the room. Shiena and I looked at each other before run towards the door and after we opened it we saw one of the she-wolf that holding the bowl earlier was shocked at the broken plate that shattered into pieces in the floor.

That's the time that her eyes full of fear looked at me, I didn't mind it too. It's not that important for now. The three she-wolves were in a hurry to fix and clean the mess so I suddenly looked at the man sitting on the bed again. when I looked at him in the eye, I saw his concern because of what happened. I sighed and ordered them not to touch the sharp object in the whip so they wouldn't be injured.

When they get out of the room with Shiena, the two of us were left inside the room. I sighed softly before closing the door behind me, I walked towards him, beside the bed but I stop midway because I remember Shiena's reminder about the scent she was talking about.

And when I looked at him again, he was... currently staring back at me, those blue eyes... Fuck this. I cleared my throat and point at the empty chair which is close to me.

"Um, can I sit there or you want me to uhh, sit there?" I awkwardly asked by pointing out the empty chair beside the window.

I closed my eyes for a moment because my heart is beating so fast! Calm down man! I'm not going to let you go from my chest!

"Y-you can sit the chair that close to you..." After I heard his voice I don't know but I suddenly heard bells.

Shit!

I automatically sit there and looked at him again. I compose myself because I don't even know where to start asking him or talking to him, I don't want to force him or anything because he just wake up for two days sleeping here after we found him.

"So..."

"I'm sorry... but can I ask you?"

"Yes, you can. What is it?"

We were staring at each other before he ask something I didn't expect, "Are you... the Alpha of this territory?"

But I don't know why I smiled? "Yes. I am. Alpha Alec Hayme Romero, you can call me Alpha Alec or Alec or anything you prefer." I said in a most happy tone of my voice.

He nodded and looked at his fingers, fidgeting, "Thank you Alpha Alec for helping me,"

"It's nothing, we were glad that we help you and you're recovery. Anyway, how's your health? Do you feel anything bad or something? Should I call for Shiena?" I ask full of concern.

Because I saw his fingers full of scars, full of cut. That's the first time I saw that to a fragile and kind man he is.

"No, it's okay. I'm fine." He answered and smile.

What happened to him before he got here? What kind of people he was with before coming here? Are they bad people or they just want to hurt someone like him? I feel my rage inside, I want to hurt someone who hurt him. He was weak, until now his regeneration process are too slow, but thank god because he woke up and we seen such beautiful eyes he had, like him.

I leaned forward and smiled to him too, "Okay. But if you need something or anything, just ask me or Shiena okay?" His smile grew bigger when I said that.

I still feel bad, but, I don't know why my fucking brain telling me to protect this man at all cost eh? What's the meaning of this?
