Chapter 4

Ariel's POV

Cursed! That's what I was. Whenever I thought my life couldn't get any worse, it did. I knew Yolanda didn't like me, but I never thought she would sell me like this. I should have known my life would never get better. A knock on the door took me from my thoughts.

"Hello, Ariel," The nice lady Pam said. She has been coming to see me every day for the last four days, which is how long I have been in the hospital after that man, Leo, beat me. I was surprised when she told me that her sons were the twins that gave that man, I learned name is Leo, permisson to hurt me.

"The doctor said you can leave today," Pam said.

"What are they going to do with me?" I asked worriedly. I didn't want to be anyones slave.

"Who?"

"Your sons," I asked.

"They would never hurt you, Ariel. You are safe here," Pam said.

"How am I safe when I was sold to them?" I asked.

Before she could answer, the door opened, and the two people I was afraid of entered the room. I couldn't help but be scared of them. Not only did they buy me from my stepmother, but they also told some man it was okay to beat me. Would I get beaten every day?

Something else I couldn't help was to be attracted to them. They were both very handsome. Both of them were masculine and very tall. One of them had blue eyes, while the other had brown eyes.

"Hello Ariel, I am Brandon, and this is my brother Landon. We are here to take you back to the house," The one with the blue eyes said.

I just sat there, not knowing what to say. I didn't know what would happen to me when I got to their house.

"Let's go, Dear; it's alright, nobody is going to hurt you," Pam said and held her hand out for me to take, which I took without hesitation. When I stood up, I felt a pain in my side, causing me to flinch.

"Are you hurt, Angel?" Landon asked.

"I am fine," I said.

"No, you are not, Sweetheart. Let me get you a wheelchair," Brandon said and walked out of the room.

" I can walk," I said when Brandon returned with a wheelchair.

"You are in pain," Landon said.

"Not too much pain," I said.

"You either get in the wheelchair, or I will carry you to the house," Brandon said.

Not wanting him to carry me, I decided to get in the wheelchair.

"Good girl," Brandon said.

"This is your room," Brandon said, and I was shocked.

The room was very nice. It had a king-size bed in the middle with a tv, couch, walk-in closet, and bathroom.

"We will let you rest. Do you need anything before we go?" Landon asked.

"No, thank you," I said, and they left.

I lay down on my bed, thinking about everything that had happened. My stepmother sold me to Brandon and Landon so that she could get Katie back. Now I was their slave. Why would they give me this nice room? I am sure their servants don't have a room like this. Nothing was making sense.

"Oh my goddess, you are beautiful," a girl said as she entered my room, startling me. She looked to be around my age with long blond hair and blue eyes, like Brandon. She was a few inches taller than my 5 ft 3 self.

"Hello," I said.

"Hello, my name is Laura. I am Brandon and Landon's younger sister," she said.

"I told you not to mess with her," Pam said, walking inside my room.

"I just wanted to meet her, mom," Laura said.

"I am sorry if she interrupted you, Dear," Pam said, looking at me.

"She is fine. My name is Ariel," I said with a smile.

"How old are you?" Laura asked.

"Seventeen," I replied.

"So am I. Are you a senior?" She asked.

"Yeah, well, at least I was until my stepmother sold me to your brothers," I said sadly.

"They will let you go to school, Dear. Trust me. Everything is going to work out," Pam said.

"Are we interrupting something?"

I looked up and saw Brandon and Landon standing in front of the doorway.

"Actually, yes, you are, brother. The two of you can come back later," Laura said.

"Oh, stop trying to get your brothers riled up, Laura. We were checking on Ariel and were about to leave. Come on, Laura, let's give them some time to talk," Pam said.

I didn't want Pam and Laura to leave me with the twins and I didn't want to talk with them

"Goodbye, Ariel. See you later," Laura said and walked out of the room with her mom.

The twins walked over to the couch and sat down.

"We thought it would be a good idea to talk to you. Answer any questions that you may have for us," Brandon said.

"Okay," I said nervously.

"So go ahead and ask us anything you want," Landon said.

"What are you going to do with me?" I asked.

"What do you mean?" Landon asked.

"What are you going to do with me? You took me and gave Katie back to Yolanda. I am your slave," I replied.

"No, you are not our slave, Princess," Brandon said.

"But you bought me," I said.

"No, we didn't. Yolanda brought you here to get her daughter back. We never told you that you were our slave," Landon said.

"Then I can leave," I asked, hopefully.

"No, you are ours," Brandon growled, causing me to flinch.

"So I am your slave," I said sadly.

"No, Princess, you are not our slave," Brandon said.

"But you just said that I was the both of yours. So doesn't that make me your slave?" I asked.

Brandon came over to me and touched my arm, causing tingles to go through where he touched. It was a good feeling that I had never felt before.

"No, you will never be our slave. But we will never let you go," Brandon whispered, causing a shiver to go through my body.

A phone rang, and Brandon answered the phone. He talked to the person for a moment and then hung up.

"Landon and I need to go. We will have one of the maids bring you dinner. It would be best if you rested so that you get better," Brandon said, and they left the room.

I didn't want them to leave for some reason, which confused me. Why would I want the people that bought me to be around me?

I couldn't possibly be falling for them.
