Chapter 5

What have my stupid parents done this time around she wondered as she was packing her bag and crying too.

Their peeping tom neighbours were at the window trying to figure out what was happening in their house.

Okay, the truth was in their house there was always a fit for fighting with all of them and this new shouting in the residence warranted the neighbours to see what newest development was going on in there when they noticed that they had been seen peeping in they pretended as though they were minding their business but it was too late they had already been seen.

If she had tried to run out of the house she wouldn't have been able to outrun the men he had who were standing out of the house. She had cried and begged but her father who was the first person to support her sometimes when her mother was causing tantrums but he sat there and she didn't see an iota of emotions in the eyes of her father and for that reason, she knew she was on her own for something she knew nothing about what kind of problems was this.

When was in her room crying that was when they seemingly came to beg and plead with her so that she could be able to cope till they found a solution but she turned around and told them that they had already gotten what they wanted so they didn't need to look for any solution since she was their solution from the onset they didn't think of asking her before throwing her under the bus they just shoved her entire life to her face and that was very depressing for her.

Some parents we have! No iota of respect for their children well being and the choices they want this was a depressing situation but because she loved her parents and she knew her father was handicapped she couldn't do otherwise but stay with their decision but everything was blurry and she didn't feel any emotions now.

Her head hurt from all the crying, thinking, screaming and fighting about what wasn't going to be changed anytime soon.

Taking her to the sitting room when she had finally calmed down but all she could see in front of her was the betrayal they had made her go through this afternoon in front of a total stranger who could not help but laugh at her as she was being forced to do what she didn't have to do if it was up to her willingly.

Making her unwillingly relocate to a new home, a new lifestyle, a new atmosphere, a new set of rules hell they were going to be total strangers living in a home where she was going to work till their debt was over, it was over forty million CFA and truth were she didn't know what her parents had taken such a huge amount of money to do because growing up had not been that easy for her.

Of course, at some point, she had a very good lifestyle she could eat very well and all the tots she could get but then after some time she was limited on allowance for school and all that not she wasn't having it and her parents were not explaining anything to her and all of a sudden her father had a stroke which left him on a wheelchair and he kept on being in this infamous daze they had come to accept at home because he wouldn't talk much but he would stare into oblivion bring the sweet daughter she was she would ask hef father what the probe was but he could never tell her anything he would claim he was just fine but she could see pain, stress and anxiety in his eyes sometimes.

When Scott was in front of them she could see how small he made her father feel and she didn't want that to ever happen as they sat there she looked to them for an answer and for them to tell her what was happening but they couldn't answer the questions she asked.

As if it was not enough if she knew the code combination of her father's safe she would have taken out his shotgun and used it on his smiling lips because she was not in support of what he was doing at that moment but then what could she do he seemed to be an arrogant ass and her father seemed to be afraid of him though she didn't see a reason as to why her father was afraid If this man who looked like he could be her father's son would make her father look like a child and he seemed to be enjoying the fright he caused to the entire family and the way he looked at them making them look small as though they were not supposed to be treated like human beings he continuously stigmatized them with his eyes and all thanks to the people she called parents and they wouldn't for any testing explain to her what was happening at least for her to seek a solution they were not wanting to do that and that frustrated her the more she screamed and left the sitting room and fellto her bed crying heavyly until she femm asleep at least being asleep was the only remedy for her right now she was satisfied with being asleep and if she could be asleep this way till she woke up to find out this was all a great. she would have done so a long time ago.

She awoke at night to see that she had been changed into her sleep. clothes and were covered and her bags had been packed and kept in a corner signalling to her that she wasn't dreaming and she knew her mother had been the one to pack her things and to put her to bed she didn't understand why her mother was that way one minute she was caring and loving and the next minute she didn't care about your happiness but hers and she claimed to say that it was for the betterment and good of the family.

What family exacwas she talking about.
