500k

I was roughly being pulled up the stairs by Angelo. The grip he had on my arm was killer, enough to make me constantly cry out in pain.

He pushed an ebony door open to reveal a large office, "Go sit at the desk," he pushed me out in front of him causing me to stumble forward. Once I had regained my balance, I

straightened myself out only to sit behind the desk seconds later. "Do you have a bank account, Chloe?"

I nodded, fearing that if I opened my mouth to speak nothing but weakness would seep through. Everyone in my family, even my thirteen year old brother and sister, had bank accounts.

Angelo stalked over to me, standing behind me in moments, "Well Chloe," he got really close and whispered in my ear. I could feel his hot, minty breath and it sent shivers down my spine, "I'm in a bit of trouble with a...certain somebody...and I need you to get me out of it."

I just looked forward, still too scared to say anything.

"Have your dad send you money," Angelo said before moving away from me to grab a phone. It looked like a prepaid cheap phone, one he could smash and get rid of quickly.

"How much?" I finally spoke. "Will you let me go then?"

He sat down in the office chair in front of me, slumping to one side a bit, "I don't think so. You're...amusing, amore mia. The only source of entertainment I've had in awhile. Have him send you 500k."

"Five hundred thousand?!" I questioned, "That's a lot of money for me to ask for and he knows it. I'd need a really good excuse and-"

"Tell him about your sister's drug addiction," he cut me off, "He'll forget all about you asking for that much money and immediately go to Sienna."

The fact that he knew anything about my family still freaked me out and what was he talking about? Sienna wasn't on drugs. Then again, I learned that she's definitely not the same sister I knew three months ago.

"What do you mean? How do you know she's on drugs? Which ones? Have you even met my sister?"

"Call your father. Tell him what I told you to, and then we'll talk about what I know about your sister."

"He won't give me that much money!" I snapped, earning myself one displeased look from Mr. Kidnapper over there. "I've never asked for money in my life. What if he thinks I'm the drug addict?"

"I'm tired of waiting, amore mia. Call your damn father already!" He slammed his hand down on the hard wooden desk. I jumped back in my seat before hurriedly grabbing the phone and dialing my dad's cell number.

He answered on the third ring, "Hello?" He sounded curious. And that's when I realized I wasn't using my phone so it wouldn't have said that I was calling.

"Hi dad, it's Chloe," I said quietly, still frightened by the angry guy sitting a few inches away from me. Man, if looks could kill I would be on my way six feet under right now.

"Chloe? What's wrong? What do you need?" His voice was a comfort, especially since I thought I was never going to see or hear from any of my family ever again.

"Nothing's wrong," I looked up at Angelo, "I just wanted to talk to you."

"Well, I'm actually getting ready to get on a plane. I cant talk for long, Clo."

"Oh, well in that case, I have a question," I paused, "Could you maybe put, I don't know, five hundred housand in my bank account?"

The silence was eerie. "Why do you need that much money?"

I didn't want to throw Sienna under the bus without even actually knowing she was on drugs. What if she wasn't but I told my dad she was and then she got disowned? I can't even imagine the trouble I would get into then. "Uh...uh...I wanted to donate it to the charity event today."

"I'll just add that money to the check the family is sending them then. How'd it go today though?"

"Dad, you don't understand," I sighed, slightly frustrated with my horrible persuasion techniques, "I need that money...like right now. I want it to be sent in my name, not the family's."

I couldn't see it personally, but I knew I was getting the absolute worst look from my dad, "Fine Chloe, I'll have someone send it to you," he sounded highly annoyed. "I have to go now."

Angelo reached over and snatched the

phone out of my hand before I could even say goodbye. He pressed a button before crushing it under his shoe, "What did he say?"

"I think you know what he said. I don't think you would have taken the phone before you knew he agreed to send what you wanted. Now tell me what you know about Sienna."

"Demanding, aren't you, little Chloe?" He didn't take a long pause, but it was still enough to keep me on the edge of my seat. How did he know something about SiSi that I didn't? "She's dating my stupid little junkie, punk ass brother Lorenzo. Comes around here a lot with him. He rubbed off on her...negatively. It's a shame, she had potential."

"She still does," I defended. Sienna could get through this with the help of rehab. Angelo and I agreed on something though, I had a feeling it

was going to be the only thing too; we both didn't like this Lorenzo too much.

"I don't know, amore mia. You haven't really seen her, not like I have," he teased. "She's gone, past the point of no return. There's no helping her just like there's no helping Lorenzo.

"You're so negative," I mumbled.

The only thing this room had going for it was the enormous comfy bed. I'd never been on a bed so soft and I lived in the lap of luxury. It was hard to enjoy though because I was tied down, making any movement almost totally impossible.

I knew I was tired, but I couldn't fall asleep. I've had insomnia for a really long time now. The only way I could

ever get sleep was if I took my pills, but guess what? I didn't have them right now.

I was never going to fall asleep on my own, especially not with these people around me. I didn't know where they were currently, but I don't think I really cared either.

Something was going on downstairs though, something like a party. Music blared, people shouted, things banged on the walls. Who were these people? With what I know so far about Angelo, I knew he could only have criminal friends and they were probably all downstairs.

At this point, I was totally 100 percent sure I was never going home. I feel like I wouldn't be tied up right now and thrown to the side like garbage, if I truly was someone of value.

The door knob jiggled sluggishly from the outside. My heart rate sped up,

but the person on the outside seemed to have given up on trying. "Lets go somewhere else," I could just barely hear the most familiar girl voice slur from right outside the door. It sounded like Sienna as much as I hoped it wasn't. The fact that she could be here was actually almost a comfort though.

"This is my room though," a guy said, sounding rather pissed off. Well that sure would seem to fit into Lorenzo's rude lifestyle, wouldn't it?

"It's not like there aren't a million other rooms in this house, Lorenzo!" Now I was sure that that was Sienna just on the other side of the door. Did she even realize I was gone? What would she actually do if she knew though?

My life was crumbling into a million pieces in the blink of an eye.

"I'm gonna get my brother and tell him to unlock this goddamn door before I bash his face into the cement," Lorenzo

shouted before banging on the door one last time.

I wasn't sure about that though. If he was referring to Angelo, and I'm pretty sure he was, then I'd put my millions down on Angelo winning whatever fight Lorenzo started. Angelo was bigger in a musclier way, taller too. He also seemed to have a couple of years on his kid brother which almost always gives some sort of advantage.

And uh...people with guns usually win fist fights.
