Chapter 4

“The deal was made shortly after your thirteen birthdays. Her pack had some success with investments with the money we paid them,” Amber explained.

“So, you knew about it?” Jnr asked in disbelief.

“It was my idea. A safety net,” Amber explained.

Jnr stared in disbelief. The one person who he always felt he could trust betrayed him.

“Jnr. Wait! Where are you going?” Amber questioned.

“To break things off with Blake!” Jnr shouted, furious.

“She does not know,” Amber shouted after him, stopping him in his tracks.

Jnr looked back at his grandmother, filled with more questions.

“We were going to wait another year or so to be sure that the both of you reached your full puberty before bonding you with a fated mate spell,” Amber admitted.

“Unbelievable!” Jnr roared before running off, feeling like something wants to burst out of him but for some reason, it was trapped.

Jnr stormed past his parents and Xander, “enjoy your son!”

“What is going on with him?” Kim asked Amber when she caught up shortly after.

“I said too much, sorry,” Amber explained.

“What did you say?” Alex demanded to know.

“I have to get back to varsity. I am on a scholarship and today is my first day,” Xander interrupted uncomfortably.

“Do you have a driver's license?” Alex asked.

“Of course, I am twenty,” Xander laughed.

“You,” Alex points to one of his pack members, “take him to the garage and let him take any car he wants.”

“Really? Cool,” Xander said, not used to riches being disregarded in such away.

CHAPTER 4

“Jnr, why are you late. You know I don’t allow half-lesson walk-ins,” the professor scolded.

“Actually, I am Xander. I got lost,” Xander explained, making up a story.

“Blake?” the professor looked at Blake.

“Lost and found twin brother, apparently,” Blake said, wondering where Jnr was.

Xander walked over to where Blake was sitting and sat next to her.

“You can’t sit here,” Blake whispered.

“Why not?” Xander inquired.

“Because it is Jnr’s seat,” Blake said, uncomfortable.

Xander looked around at the table and then at the chair. “I don’t see his name anywhere.”

Blake rolled her eyes at him.

“Blake. Would you like to take over the lesson?” the professor silent her.

‘What subject is this again?’ Xander mind linked Blake.

‘Seriously?’ Blake mind linked him, rolling her eyes.

Xander lifted her textbook to see the cover.

‘Do you mind?’ Blake mind linked him, looking him dead in the eye.

‘What got into you? Where is the sexy creature that devoured my body this morning?’ Xander mind linked him.

‘She got a boyfriend and forget that this morning ever happened,’ Blake mind link him with a warning pushing off her.

‘But you have to break it off with him. We are fated mates,’ Xander mind linked her.

‘We will un-mate after class,’ Blake mind link him.

‘Oh, and I don’t have a say in it?’ Xander questioned.

‘No,’ Blake mind linked stubbornly.

‘Sure, I do,’ Xander mind linked, and sat back in his seat. It was only then that he noticed a few girls checking him out.

Xander smiled and turned his attention to the professor.

‘What are you smiling at?’ Blake mind linked him, demanding to know, but then she saw his mind.

‘Whatever,’ she mind linked him.

‘Jealous? It is not as if you want me,’ Xander teased.

‘Why should I be jealous? I have an exact copy of you as a boyfriend,’ Blake reminded him.

‘With a broom up his ass and a stupid haircut,’ Xander snorted.

Blake wanted to mind link something sarcastic back but decide to block him out instead.

After class, which felt like it was dragging on forever, Blake dragged Xander back to the janitor’s room.

“I like where this is going,” Xander chuckled as they slipped into the Janitor’s room.

“I Blake Wendy Langston, reject you Xander,..” Blake started, but Xader swallowed her words with his mouth while mind linking, ‘I don’t accept.’

Blake pushed him off, but he forced her against the door, pressing his body against hers and his mouth on hers.

The fated mate bond consumed him and soon enough, took Blake over again. Blake felt him slip his hands under her dress.

‘Please, stop,’ Blake pleaded in a mind link.

‘You know I can see your mind and what it truly wants it me f*cking you silly,’ Xander mind linked her back while kissing her hard.

‘I have to break it off with Jnr first,’ Blake finally mind link Xander as she comes to her senses.

Out of breath and filled with lust and desire for his fated mate, Xander stepped away from her. “fine.”

Blake rested against the door, trying to control herself by taking deep breaths.

“Where is he, by the way?” Xander asked.

“How should I know? I left him with you guys, remember?” Blake stated.

“Maybe we should go look for him. His parents seem a bit like assholes towards him. Why is that?” Xander asked as they left the janitor’s room.

“Because he is nothing more than an average human with an average IQ and the harder he tries to impress them, the less they care,” Blake said.

“Where do you think he could be?” Xander wondered.

“Most likely on their private beach,” Blake suggested, taking out her phone.

“Good idea. Call him,” Xander said.

“Oh, no, I am not calling him. I am booking an Uber,” Blake corrected him.

“No need. His father, I mean my father, gave me a car,” Xander said and took the keys to a Ford Mustang out of his pocket.

“Cool. Let’s go,” Blake said.

“You go ahead. Today is my first day and I have not even reported to the office yet,” Xander said.

“Sure, bye,” Blake said.

“Please mind link me when you find him,” Xander called after her.

“Yeah, say it louder so that people think us aliens or something,” Blake laughed sarcastically.

Xander looked after her as she walked, her hips swaying side to side, thinking, ‘all mine.’
