Chapter 3
LADS
MILO'S POV
“She belongs to me!”
Automatically, there would be deafening screams of women in big arenas that we have played numerous times after we finish a song. There would be a big crowd and blinding lights from cameras and smart phones recording every bit of our moves. There would be a lot of women crying because of happiness, women screaming like there’s no tomorrow and women a little seem to flirty on the audience which is really getting pretty normal to me now, I guess.
But the audience we just sang to were children and God just these kids hate me because of what I wear, my long hair and my skinny jeans. Some kids said I dressed weird. They just bloody hate me because of my hair and mostly thinks I am a girl because of it. Lucius tries his best to talk to much kids and play with them, Jasper as usual makes these kids laugh, as for Silas. Well, Silas’ being Silas and for Rowan even if he is not doing anything funny or cute, he’s just immensely loved by the kids because he has always been the good-looking one without even really trying. I mean do you see that perfect jawline and beautiful face.
If you don’t know us, we’re Spitfire Strip.
“Are you damn serious Mill?” Jasper teases me again as we were escorted to our car. “Those kids in there weren’t really that fanatic of you.”
Lucius and Silas joins in with a laughing Jasper. “Well technically I am not a clown like you are Jasper Brady.” I answer as I get inside the van feeling a little bit more disappointed.
Lucius laughs a little bit louder, “At least you tried Milo .”
“Shut up Lucius . Just, shut it.” I say instantly as I push my hair off my face.
“Shut up Lucius .” Jasper mimics me and continues to laugh with Silas on the backseat.
Hearing Silas’ laugh just makes my headache worst. “That’s a really good impersonation Jas.”
“It’s okay Mill. You don’t look like a female and you don’t dress weird.” Rowan pats my shoulder while smiling at me. I don’t know if he was being sarcastic or not but he spoke with soft eyes. How comforting Rowan.
“That’s really easy for you to say, Mr. Lovable.” I answer him before facing Jasper, Silas and Lucius who were still laughing at me and poking jokes. “You know what, we didn’t have any competition about who’s going to have more kids to play with anyways.”
“I wish we did. You’d flop, Mill.” Jasper teases again.
I sit straight on my seat and tried to pull in some headphones as we begin to leave the orphanage. I have had a long day because we had an interview earlier for a magazine and I am still having this headache since this morning. The lads were obviously talking about where to have dinner and I am already sure we are heading to Nando’s. Without a doubt about it.
As soon as we reached Nando’s, paps were quick to arrive in the area and take photos of us as we rushed inside. I was tired and didn’t really want to be pissed by the paparazzi so I kept my head down low while our security guards lead us in. We had dinner together and just tried to enjoy the night while some fans went to our table for a photo. Usually, we’d have dinner in the hotel and order foods as much as we want but since the other lads want to eat outside, then majority wins.
"Oh god I'm so full." Jasper exclaimed inside the car, burping towards Lucius 's.
Lucius pushes Jasper’s shoulder with a disapproving look on his face. Sometimes Jasper’s just a little bit childish and playful which pisses some of us. "You had to burp at my face Jasper! Disgusting."
Jasper' laugh echoes at the backseat after pulling a nasty prank at Lucius after how he teases me a lot after singing for those kids. Good thing he didn't aim at Rowan, he looks really tired right now and goofing around with a moody Rowan isn't such a great idea.
"I missed Nando's." Silas was quick to comment. "I can't even laugh right now cos I'm seriously too full." He exclaimed, rubbing his hand over his bulging stomach.
I chuckle.
"It was obvious. You ate a lot than the usual." I said while grinning.
We were on our way back to the hotel after we had dinner and man I do feel really tired. I was expecting a quieter dinner back in the hotel like how we usually do on tours after a long day’s work. I glance at the other lads who were now getting a little less rowdy, obviously they were tired as me except for Jasper, I don’t know how the hell he gets his energy from.
On tours, it’s hard to eat in restaurants because fans will just crowd us so we always eat in the hotel for delivery. Living in hotels wasn’t a new thing to me anymore since we’re all busy with the touring but sometimes I just home-cooked foods that my mum used to make for me. On tours, we don’t usually eat healthy all the time as per Silas, Jasper and Rowan are the ones who always stores all the junk-foods and we just can’t help ourselves with it. Lucius and I tries to eat healthy but eventually gives in to junk.
On busier days, there’s usually pressure on us and how we have to perform on our best because we are indeed the world’s famous band. That’s kind of hard to live up for years now. Tonight the songs we sang and the concert for a cause went smooth sailing, even though the kids didn’t like me as much as I wanted to play with them.
Currently, we've been here in the US for a few days because we had to do interviews for some magazines, radio stations and TV shows. Tons and tons of interviews from left and right and it’s really tiring sometimes to just answer questions one after the other, Sometimes it’s just draining to be actually asked too personal questions. Yesterday, we manage to finish this little concert for a cause for the Little Angels Shelter, a place where cancer patients who were mostly kids lives while being treated with cancer. We raised $25,000 from the concert for a cause and each of us also added some. Earlier in the afternoon, we went to Shelter The Kids which was an orphanage ran by nuns and the five of us really had a great time there getting to know how their lives has been in the shelter and hearing their stories just made me really sad for them to be left by their parents. Most especially with that girl Dinah, she's such an inspiration to everyone in that shelter.
It has been a busy week for us, even with the entire crew, from the dozens of interviews and the radio station visits from here to there, a few photo shoots for some American magazines, and they even squeezed in a few fan signing events as well. We were drained but America is much different compared to London and there’s something about this place that keeps me coming back. We haven't gotten a bit of rest since we came here as much as we want to relax and chill, but it's our job to entertain our fans. I know they've been wanting us to visit the U.S again and we have been always in other parts of the world. Though we were crazily busy and massively tired, seeing our fans' happy faces as they scream our names just makes everything worth it all.
