Chapter 2

"Sofie, are you?" The prince asked as he stood in front of me at the entrance. He starred at me, pretending like he had never set his eyes on me.

I was filled with suprise, the prince's reaction is more than words can say, or even more than my mind can gasp.

"Are you?" He asked again, still wearing that garment of smile and innocence on his handsome face.

I nod. Not even knowing what to say. Still startled by the way he had ignored what he had just seen in the garden.

"Prince" mom said, as she walked out of the kitchen area, approaching with happiness in her beautiful face.

. "My greetings " He said as he placed his hands right above his chest area. Gently bending his head and greeting my mom with so much respect and honour.

"I've been waiting" mom said as she moved close to the prince and i starred at me. Expecting me to be a bit happier, but surprisingly I'm not. I feel bad and embarassed instead. Probably because of the nature of his appearance.

"I'll take my leave" mom turned her back against us and went straight to the back door, leading to the garden.

My heart skipped beats. I wouldn't want her to see a part of my dress stuck to the thorns. I gasped. As i was about to rush into the garden before she would see it, my movement was restricted by the price holding my wrists.

"I've done that already" he said as he starred at me in the eye. I could smell his body fragrance as he moved closer. I felt no love. Not even a pinch of attachment to him. Like he wasn't the one i had always been told about.

"What?" I asked wondering what he could have been claiming to do.

"Your dress. My guards took care of that already." He responded as he dragged me closer.

"Ohhh" i responded as i felt a bit more relieved. Like a whole mountain has been taken away from my chest.

"Your body isn't bad. You know?" He asked as he moved completely close to me, my chest almost touching his and our noses not too far from each other.

I felt disrespected, uncomfortable, disregarded and even less honoured.

"Sorry?" I asked, thinking i could have deserved some more respect from him. Not like he saw my whole body. He only saw my hips and upper thighs.

"The prince asked as he moved away from me and starred with his eye brows up.

"What?" I asked as i felt disgusted by his incondusive attitude.

"Your pride. You lost ir already. I can always find a better girl if you decide not to play along. Telling your mom about how you tried making yourself go naked in front of my guards and i just to draw my attention isn't a bad idea after all." He said as he walked around the room. Gently dragging his feets on the ground then he walked around me.

Those words hit my head as hard as rock. Breaking down my ego into tiny bits. Reducing my self esteem to the lowest it could go. My hands dropped. Completely speechless. I have no say. He's right. I had allowed just a set of thons ruin my life with my forever prince.

"See you at noon" he said as he walked out of our hut and laughed out so loud, like he had already been expecting what has happened.

"I'm doomed" i taught. Mom had always told me how the future of a lady in "Ti-Anjorea" is based on her forever prince. And now, mine is gone. I've lost it. Destiny has chosen to go against me. Fate had brought me doom. I could sense the darkness in my future, making me feel worthless. The prince i had always wanted is here, but in a way i didn't expect. I taught forever princes bring happiness, so why is mine making me sad? When we've merely even just met.
