Chapter 4
He carried Lun to the vehicle and ordered a couple of soldiers to watch and protect his mate. Wulfgur remained on the path where the shots came from and narrowed his eyes, sensing and detecting everywhere clearly from afar.
"There you are. Got you now." He grinned seeing one of the hunters with a big weapon stacked with silver bullets, by the sight. Another hunter came to join him too with a bow and silver arrows.
They truly wanted to bring him down today, but that won't be possible.
"Sir, I can feel them. They are very close to here." A soldier from the palace spoke as he stayed beside the king.
'I know. They are in that direction." He made a move towards the direction but stopped and turned to look at the car where Lun was. Is he going to leave weak Lun and fight these hunters, which will be bloodly?
Once more, he returned back. "Let everybody return into the vehicle. Get to the Monster Realm as soon as possible. I will follow behind you soon. I need to draw those hunters' attention to me alone." He told the royal armed forces commander.
The man was a little surprised, however he complied with the king's order. Before long, the two hundred armed forces were creating some distance from the scene, leaving their Lord there as he instructed.
Ruler Wulgur moaned and moved forward as soon as the armed forces became invisible from a distance. He tilted his head and said,
"I know you're there but it would be better if you come out willingly than for me to track you down."
Silence.
He grinned and started to walk nearer to the forest, his eyes are directly on the two hunters. He could see the shock all over their face and immediately realized they are new in this.
The one with the bow set the arrow to it and attempted to shoot Wulgur with it however he dodged it swiftly. He smiled evilly and kept walking towards them.
He'd reach them very soon. He was walking as though he was running. Walking wonderfully and grandly.
The one with the weapon shot also but Wulgur caught the bullets and threw them away.
He wasn't prepared to switch to his beast form yet. These two will definitely pass out as they were new to this. They haven't seen him real previously.
Wulgur got to them and grabbed the two of them by their shirt, pulling them up so their feet did not touch the ground.
"You're new hunters, isn't it?" He asked them and they nodded frantically.
"I suppose you ought to be doing your graduate degree in the college yet you're here attempting to carry out murder. Isn't that so dishonorable?" He nailed to the two of them with a big scowl.
"No! I'm attempting to get payback for you killing our family." One of the young men said and his second nodded.
"Your loved ones? They were part of the hunters right?" He asked them.
"Yes," The other replied.
"You need to understand that what your family did isn't something acceptable, and yet you choose to inherit their wickedness? That is really tedious." Wulgur frowned.
"How about you kill us and stop with the long talks?"
"Oh yes I should! But, I will not. I will just pass on a message to Fredrick's successor through both of you, for him to know how impotent two of you are." With that, his long claws emerged from his right hand and scratched the two from their head to their stomach so profoundly. The scar won't clear even in the following decade.
He let them fall down in their pool of blood while they scream in pain. Then, he noticed he was bleeding from the back as well. He had even failed to remember he was harmed as well. He turned around and shifted half to his beast form and took off.
Wulgur got to the Monster Realm and gazed at the place. Almost a disaster. He shifted to his human form and walked towards the little royal residence he built for whenever he drops by.
"Where's the boy," He asked immediately he entered the royal residence.
"He's been taken care of." One of the maids replied when he came in.
He made to move in and check on Lun, but was stopped by the maid.
"Uhm… Your highness, not yet, please. He said he would rather not see anybody right now."
"Why? Did something happen?" Wulgur asked inquisitively.
"Nothing your Majesty. But it would be better that you don't see him now. Perhaps later."
"Fine. When will I get to see him? I really want to be sure he's alright."
"Your Highness, The kid is fine." The maid guaranteed him, bowed, and walked inside.
"Is he here already?" Lun asked when the maid entered.
"Yes, but I already let him know that you won't be seeing anyone for now." The lady replied with a smile.
"Thank you. I can't thank you enough."
Lun was practically naked because of where the bullet hit. Near the chest. The King might want to check where the injury is and she can not permit that. She can't take a chance with this. It's too risky and would completely expose her identity.
The servants who took care of her were great to her and really stood by, listening to her plea for them not to confess to Wulgur about her secret.
"This will be over soon," she assured them.
"Why are you pretending to be a man?" The chief maid asked.
"It's a long story. I'm not prepared to say it yet."
The lady nodded and said, " You need to dress well at this moment. I will get a few herbs for you to drink."
Just as the lady was about to step outside, Wulgur rushed in.
"Your highness, you can't go in!" The lady yelled, however it was already too late.
He was already inside and gazing at Lun.
