Chapter 1

'Clarissa, I don't want you here again, please leave." Clarissa walked closer to Alpha Clyde and helped him adjust his shirt.

'Please tell me this is a joke," Clarissa said to Alpha Clyde trying not to cry. Alpha Clyde laughed the moment he heard what Clarissa said to him.

'Do I look like I'm joking to you?" He held Clarissa's hand and stopped her from touching him.

'Fine, if you want me to leave I'll go up there and pack my things." Clarissa threatened.

'You will do no such thing!" When Clarissa heard this she felt relieved Alpha Clyde was just messing with her.

'I knew you were just messing around. Please I want you to stop joking about throwing me out of your house, it doesn't sound nice at all.

'Clarisse if you move any step closer to me, I'll not hesitate to look you up!" Clarissa was shocked. His words kept echoing in her head.

'What's going on Clyde, this is not you. What have I done to you?" Clarissa asked him as tears welled down her eyes. She started directly into Alpha Clyde's eyes and the love she once saw there was suddenly full of hatred.

'I will not stand here and exchange words with you." Alpha Clyde said to her and was about to walk away.

'After everything." Clyde turned back to look at her. 'Is this how you pay me back for everything I have done for you?" Clarissa said to Clyde as uncontrollable tears welled down her eyes.

'Just tell me, what I have done to you." Clarissa pleaded.

"Clarissa Emberdale, I reject you! Leave my pack at once!" Clarissa rolled her eyes in disbelief. His words pierced her heart deeply. Clarissa slowly walked out of the house still thinking of what went wrong between her and Alpha Clyde.

Clarissa remembered two years ago how she did everything to make sure Alpha Clyde's enemies didn't succeed in dethroning him.

Clarissa turned back and saw Clyde still staring at her angrily. Most of the maids in the castle stared at her in disgust, while some pitied her. Clyde refused to let her take anything with her.

'Close the doors and make sure she never returns to the Castle!" Alpha Clyde gave the order and walked away. Clarissa was left alone with nowhere to go.

While Clarissa was walking she noticed she was unable to see again clearly, everywhere looked blurry to her.

Clarissa woke up and found herself in the hospital. She sat up on the bed and started wondering how she got to the hospital. The last thing she remembered was how she got kicked out of the pack by Alpha Clyde.

'Finally you're up." A young man in his early thirties walked into the room, from the way he is dressed it was obvious to her that he is the doctor.

'How did I get here?" Clarissa asked the doctor curiously.

'You need to calm down ma'am, you were brought here by a good person that met you lying unconscious by the roadside." Clarissa was relieved, and she removed the medical things that were used in reviving her.

'Where are you going ma'am?" The doctor asked her when he noticed she was leaving the hospital.

'I am going back to that bastard, he needs to tell me what I did wrong." Clarissa insisted.

The doctor was not aware of what had happened to her but what he was sure of is that Clarissa is not in the right state to leave the hospital.

'You need to calm down please, if not for anything but for the sake of your baby." Clarissa's eyes widened the moment she heard what the doctor said to her.

'Doctor what are you saying?" Clarissa asked the doctor again for clarification.

'You heard me right, you are a few weeks gone." Clarissa sat on the bed still in shock.

'No. It's impossible, I-i…Can't be pregnant." Clarissa walked out of the room immediately.

'Please ma'am you need to come back." The doctor tried convincing her to come back but Clarissa refused to listen.

She stopped a cab and entered the cab immediately.

'Why did you do it?" Grey asked Alpha Clyde. Grey is Alpha Clyde's best friend and the only person that the Alpha listens to.

Alpha Clyde gulped the glass of wine and slammed it on the table.

'Why do you like to fix your nose if it isn't your business? What I do in my pack is nobody's business, so leave me alone." Alpha Clyde yelled at Grey angrily.

'It's fine, I'm not going to judge you, but one thing I'm sure of is that you will regret this," Grey said to Alpha Clyde and stood up.

'What's that sound I hear? That sounds like Clarissa." Grey said to Alpha Clyde and rushed outside.

Clyde was very upset that he threw the cup on the floor and it broke into pieces.

'Clyde, you need to come here and tell me what I have done to you! Let me in!" Clarissa yelled from outside"

'Let her in," Grey ordered the warriors stopping her from going inside.

'Where is he? Tell him to come out and tell me my faults then I'll gladly walk out of his life." Clarissa yelled angrily.

'Rissa you need to calm down, come inside let's talk." Grey said to Clarissa calmly.

'She wouldn't dare walk inside." Everyone turned back to look at Alpha Clyde, this time he came with the Jewelry he gifted Clarissa on her birthday last year.

'Clyde, please tell me. What's going on? What have I done to you?" Alpha Clyde's feeling was indifferent; he acted like Clarissa was not talking to him.

'Why don't you be a man and talk to me!" Clarissa yelled this time.

'I have told you to leave calmly but you bluntly refused to listen so I have no other choice but to do it my way." Alpha Clyde said to Clarissa

He raised the jewelry in front of everyone present. The moment Clarissa sighted the chain, her heartbeat became faster, and she held her chest unable to breathe very well.

'Clyde, take it down. You are ruining things." Grey said to Alpha Clyde trying to convince him, but Clyde gave his words best ears.

'From today Clarissa Emberdale, I reject you! Leave my pack at once!" Alpha Clyde broke the chain the moment he was done talking. The word kept echoing in Clarissa's head. This is the second time he is saying such to her without a sign of love.

Clarissa touched her belly and raised her head to look at Alpha Clyde.

Clyde gave his warriors a sign that they should take Clarissa out of the house

'Clyde, you know this is wrong," Grey said to Clyde but instead of listening Alpha Clyde walked away.

Clarissa looked hopeless and thought of where to go. There was nowhere for her to go, neither was there money with her.

She walked around helplessly looking for where to stay. It was almost nightfall and there was still nowhere for her to stay.

The moment she heard the sound of the thunder she knew it was threatening to rain.

She found a store and walked to the storekeeper.

'Please can I spend the night here?" Clarissa asked the storekeeper.

'Does this place look like an hotel to you?" The storekeeper asked Clarissa angrily.

'Please I…"

'Ma'am I need to go now, if you're not buying anything, please leave." Clarissa realized there was no use begging the lady so she shamefully walked out of the store.

Clarissa noticed the rain was getting closer so she decided to look for a place to stay.

'Wait. It looks like you are homeless, are you?" The storekeeper asked Clarissa.

'Yes, I am." Clarissa lowered her head and replied to the lady.

'Can you work as a caretaker?" The lady asked Clarissa.

'Yes I can." Clarissa replied to the lady excitedly.

'Okay, follow me." Clarissa excitedly walked behind the lady.

While they were going Clarissa kept wondering who she would be taking care of but she didn't care as long as it'll give her a place to stay and food to eat every day.

When they got to the house Clarissa was amazed at how huge the mansion is.

'Is this where I'll be working?" Clarissa asked the lady.

'Yes it is, but don't be too excited." Clarissa was confused and she began to wonder why the lady would say such a thing.

'Why do you say so?" Clarissa asked.

'That's because no one that has worked here ever spent up to a month." The lady was scaring Clarissa.

The gatekeeper opened the four and they both walked inside the house.

The house looked very mighty, Clarissa couldn't help but admire everything in the house.

'Grandma." The storekeeper tried calling her but she seemed nowhere to be found.

'Grandma." The storekeeper called her again.

'How many times have I told you to stop calling me with such a loud tone?" Clarissa was shocked to see who was walking towards them.

'Is she the one i'll be taking care of?" Clarissa asked the storekeeper, still shocked.
