Chapter 3

"That would be a lot of work. I could get it done within two weeks if you are not in a hurry. Legacy Academy is going to try and keep the details of their students private especially what happens decades ago. Your Mom is putting a lot into it" I could sense a hint of admiration in his tone, hell! I'm proud of my Mom too. I just hate what she's doing.

"I don't care. Just do whatever it is and get it done" I turned to leave but pause. "By the way, you guys are also going to that school" I informed them before walking away, ignoring their groans and protest.

I felt tired, there was so little of the things a werewolf with no wolf could do, there are a lot of expectations, expectations I tried to live up to daily, it is just my life and now, I wouldn't trade it for anything, standing at the full-length mirror in my room, I let out a tired sigh. When will it get better? I frowned thinking about how my mother went ahead to make things much worse for me, what the hell was she trying to prove by taking on the project? One thing was sure, I refuse to give up. I'm going to fight her every step of the way.

A sharp knock sounded outside my private living room, and groaning inwardly I stalked out of my room to see who it was, when I opened the door, I frowned at the terrified maid in front of me, yes I love the effect I have on people. I don't need to have a freaking wolf to do so like most Alphas, something I am so proud of.

"Yes?" I snapped when she didn't speak when I expected her to.

"Your... cousin...he's here..." She shuttered causing me to roll my eyes, I nodded indicating that I heard her.

After she left, I stood by the door wondering why Axel would be here, probably to tell me how irresponsible of an Alpha I am, I get that a lot from him, plus I knew he wasn't happy with me becoming the Luna Alpha, he wants my throne if it was up to him and those old men in Councils, the title would go to him, just because he's a man.

Just as the maid had told me, I met Axel pacing around in my study. "Hello cousin" I smile, which didn't quite reach my eyes.

He spun around at the sound of my voice, it was expected that Axel would be Alpha since my Dad didn't have any heir, mostly because of his size, Axel happens to be a large man, intimidating most of his male population, he has this powerful aura around him that would make you think twice before crossing him but much to his annoyance, it never worked on me.

"Adele? What the fuck is going on?" He hissed, his jaw twitching in anger and I took satisfaction in that.

"It's Red" I corrected. My real name was only ever used by my parents and I preferred it that way.

"I don't bloody well care if it's Red, blue, or purple! I told your Dad you were never fit to be an Alpha, but of course, your weak wanna-be werewolf Mom convinced him you should be giving him a chance!" His words felt like a slap on my face.

I stalked towards him, grabbing him by the throat, I wanted to choke the hell out of him. "If you dare fucking insult, my mother, again, I promise you I will have you beheaded! Family or not!" I growled releasing him.

He was panting heavily, staring at me with so much anger. "History is going to repeat itself and you are going to be responsible for that!" He hissed and then stalked out of the room, it was then I realized he was talking about my Mom new project, the academy.

History is going to repeat itself and it will be all your fault Not if I can help it, there was no how I'm going to let the humans on my land, I'm going to let my Mom believe I'm okay with whatever she is doing, then when the humans least expected, I'm going to attack.

I smirked pressing a number on the telephone after it rang, I dropped it and a few seconds later, Delvin walked into the room.

"You called me" He stayed respectful, choosing his words carefully.

"When is my Mom's project taking place? I mean the opening day or whatever?" I asked clicking on my computer.

"That would be tomorrow, and school sessions will start the next day. Pretty fast huh?" He chuckled making me smile a little.

I'm proud of her like I get what she was doing, she wanted the best for everyone...well sadly I don't. My pack members' safety comes first, I'm not going to give Axel the chance to dethrone me.

"She's pretty stubborn, something I got from both of my parents and sadly I will be using it against them. I want you to access every human student document" I repeated remembering I had told him that earlier.

"It's highly confidential as I told you a few hours ago, your mom, kept it in a safe...which requires a password, I talked to one of the guards on duty at the academy. The safe happens to be in the board office, I can't just go in there and I don't even know the password" He explained.

"Fuck!" She's smart. "I'm still not giving up"

"Well, why do you need the documents? If it's so important I could find a way to access it" He assured me and I almost smile, that was just Delvin, loyal to death and the best beta anyone could find. I stood up walking over to him, I pat him on the cheek, ignoring the flush that was creeping up his face.

"It's important Delvin. Get me those documents, I need all the human data. There's one person I need to find, I need to know if he is coming here or not" I replied staring into the distance.

Delvin blinked several times. "He?"

I ignored him. "Just do as you are told" I ordered before walking out.
