What fear looks like

Lilith's POV

As my mother rushed out of the room to make the call, I sat there in a state of panic. I couldn't believe that history was repeating itself right before my eyes. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, trying to calm myself down. But it was no use, the fear was consuming me.

I stood up and began pacing the room, my mind racing with thoughts. I was desperate to change the outcome, to do something to prevent this tragedy from happening again. But what could I do? I felt helpless, like I was stuck in a nightmare that I couldn't escape.

Just then, my mother walked back into the room, her face white as a sheet.

"Lilith, your father and Derek, they...they're in an accident," she whispered, her voice shaking.

I felt like my world was crashing down around me. I had to do something, I couldn't just sit here and watch this happen again.

"Where are they?" I demanded, grabbing my mother's shoulders. "I need to go to them, I need to help them."

My mother shook her head, tears streaming down her face. "The ambulance is on its way, but it's not looking good. Lilith, you need to prepare yourself, they might not make it."

I refused to accept that. I had to do something, I had to change this outcome. I grabbed my keys and rushed out of the house, determined to get to the accident site as fast as I could.

As I drove, I tried to come up with a plan. I was desperate to save my father and brother, to make sure that they didn't suffer the same fate as they did in my previous life. I had to find a way to change their destiny, to make sure that they survived this accident.

I finally arrived at the accident site, my heart pounding in my chest. The scene was chaotic, with paramedics and police officers swarming the area. I pushed my way through the crowd, my eyes scanning the wreckage for any sign of my father and brother.

And then, I saw them. They were both lying on the ground, their bodies covered in blood and cuts. My heart felt like it was breaking as I rushed to their side, tears streaming down my face.

I knelt down beside them, my hands shaking as I took their hands in mine. I couldn't lose them, not again. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, trying to calm myself down.

And then, I heard a faint whisper, barely audible over the noise of the crowd.

"Lilith...you did it. You changed our fate."

I opened my eyes to see my father and brother looking at me, their eyes filled with gratitude and love. I was filled with a sense of joy and peace, knowing that I had changed their destiny and saved them from their tragic fate.

From that moment on, I knew that my second chance was about so much more than just revenge. It was about love, hope, and the power to change my own fate. And I was determined to make the most of it.

"Dad, Derek, are you okay?" I asked, my voice trembling with emotion.

"We are, thanks to you, Lilith," my dad replied, pulling me into a tight embrace. "We received a call from your mom, warning us of the accident and we were able to change our route in time."

I hugged my dad back, tears streaming down my face. "I'm so glad you're safe."

"So are we," Derek chimed in, patting my back. "We're proud of you, Lilith. You've come a long way from the person you were in the past."

"I have, and I have you two to thank for it," I replied, smiling at them. "I couldn't have done it without your love and support."

"Well, that's what family is for," my dad said, ruffling my hair. "We'll always be here for you, no matter what."

We chatted for a while longer, catching up on everything that had happened in the past few months. I felt a sense of happiness and contentment that I had never felt before.

After a while, my dad and Derek left to attend to some business, and I was left alone with my thoughts. I was filled with gratitude for the second chance I had been given, and I was determined to make the most of it.

From that day on, I lived my life with love and compassion, always striving to make the world a better place. And I was happy, knowing that I had made a positive impact on the lives of those around me.

I was walking through the forest, enjoying the peace and quiet, when I heard a rustling behind me. I spun around, ready to face whatever was coming, but it was too late. A cloth was thrown over my face and I was overpowered.

When I woke up, I was in a dark, musty room with ropes tying me to a chair. I could hear Tyler and Roxanne's voices, their anger and hatred clear in their words.

"She knows too much," Tyler snarled. "We have to get rid of her."

"We can't just kill her," Roxanne protested. "The council will know it was us."

"Don't be stupid," Tyler replied. "We'll make it look like an accident. Or better yet, we'll make it look like Dean did it. He's always had a thing for her."

I could feel the anger and fear building up inside of me. They thought they could get away with killing me and blaming it on Dean? Not if I had anything to say about it.

I closed my eyes and focused all of my energy, using the new powers the moon goddess had given me. I could feel the ropes loosen and the door creak open.

"What the hell?" Tyler shouted as I stood up and faced them. "How did she get free?"

"You thought I was weak," I spat, my voice filled with rage. "You thought you could just kidnap me and kill me. Well, you were wrong."

I could see the fear in their eyes as I advanced towards them, my powers growing stronger with every step. They tried to run, but I was too fast. I grabbed them by their arms and dragged them back to the council.

I stood before the council, Tyler and Roxanne at my feet. I could feel the anger and hatred radiating off of them, but I was determined to see justice done.

"These two," I said, pointing at Tyler and Roxanne, "are the ones who killed my mother. They tried to cover it up, blaming it on a wild beast in the forest. But I have evidence that they were the ones responsible."

The council members looked shocked and skeptical, but I could see the truth in their eyes. They had always known that Tyler and Roxanne were up to something, but they had never been able to prove it.

"How do you know this?" one of them asked, his voice stern.

"Shannel told me," I replied, holding up Shannel as evidence. "She was there when they planned to kill my mother. She tried to back out, but it was too late. She's here to confess everything."

The council listened to Shannel's confession, their expressions growing angrier with every word. When she was done, they turned to Tyler and Roxanne, their eyes filled with disgust.

"You are both guilty of murder," the leader of the council said, his voice filled with anger. "You will be punished accordingly."

Tyler and Roxanne were taken away, their screams echoing through the room. I stood there, feeling a sense of satisfaction and closure. My mother had finally been avenged, and Tyler and Roxanne were getting what they deserved.

But most importantly, I had changed my fate. I was no longer a lost puppy, but a strong and powerful wolf. I was ready to face whatever came my way, determined to make the most of my second chance.

but all these had to leave a cause. i wonder just how it will be to be...
