Lyra trudged through the halls of her high school, her backpack slung heavily over her shoulder. She had woken up that morning with a sense of dread in her stomach, knowing that she would have to face her tormentors once again.

As she turned a corner, she saw them. Kian, Ace, and Jared. The Alphas of the werewolf kingdom, towering over her with their broad shoulders and muscular frames. They sneered down at her, their lips curling in disgust.

"Look who it is, boys," Kian said, his voice dripping with malice. "The little human who thinks she can just walk around our school like she owns the place."

Lyra tried to walk past them, but Kian stepped in front of her, blocking her path. "What's the matter, little girl?" he said, his breath hot on her face. "Are you scared?"

Ace and Jared cackled behind him, egging him on. Lyra's heart was racing, her palms sweaty. She felt like she was going to be sick.

Suddenly, Kian reached out and grabbed her backpack, ripping it off her shoulders and tossing it to the ground. Books spilled out onto the floor, scattering in every direction.

Lyra's eyes filled with tears as she scrambled to pick up her things. She could hear the boys laughing behind her, their cruel taunts echoing in her ears.

Finally, she managed to gather everything up and stumble away from them, tears streaming down her face.

As soon as she got home, she collapsed onto her bed and sobbed. Why did they have to be so cruel to her? What had she ever done to them? Lyra had yet another reason to wish she wasn't born into such a poor family as hers, or at least a powerful family like that the three brothers belonged to, because if that were the case then there was no way her situation would turn out the way it was.

But her tears were interrupted by a knock at her door. She scrambled to her feet, wiping her eyes with the back of her hand, and opened the door to find her father standing there.

"Hi…dad…" she was about to greet him, but her words were immediately put to a halt by a quick raise of his hand.

"Lyra, I need you to come with me," he said, his voice urgent.

Lyra looked up at him, her eyes still red from crying. "What's wrong, Dad?"

"You don't ask me questions," he responded coldly and walked out of her room with Lyra feeling shivers shoot up and down her spine.

If shock was the only word to express how Lyra felt immediately she set her eyes on the looming mansion then it was an understatement.

Her eyes widened as the car came to a halt in front of the Blood Moon Pack House. This was the Alpha's house, the same house where Kian, Ace, and Jared lived. Her heart thudded in her chest as she tried to make sense of the situation. Why had her father brought her here?

She silently prayed in her mind that the visit will not turn out to be a nightmare.

But something deep down I just told her to trust her father at least that once.

As Lyra stepped out of the car, she took in the towering house with its huge double doors and intimidating stone walls. She couldn't help but feel a sense of foreboding as she followed her father into the house.

The pack house was even more imposing on the inside. The walls were adorned with ornate paintings, and the floors were made of the finest marble. The place was massive, and it seemed like there were people everywhere. As she walked through the halls, Lyra couldn't help but feel small and insignificant.

Then she saw them. Kian, Ace, and Jared, her tormentors, standing at the end of the hallway, looking at her with smirks on their faces. Lyra's heart sank as she realized that her father had brought her to their home.

"Um…I'm here to see the alpha. I have an urgent business to discuss with him," Lyra's father said to the three brothers, bowing his head a little.

Seeing her father show such courtesy to the three bunch of assholes as she would call them made her heart churn with anger. Were they sk kow to the extent that he'd bow his head to boys her age. And not just any boys, those three monsters as she'd call them.

"When you see us, you've seen the Alpha,” Jared started in his monotone voice, which caused a reaction of sniggers from his brothers.

"When did you become my mouthpiece,” the Alpha's booming voice came from behind the boys as third father's gigantic physique appeared though the front door.

"Come in,” he motioned with his hand.

"I have brought my daughter, Lyra, to work for you until my debts are paid off,” were the last words she heard from her father.

Did he just dump her here as collateral for a loan?

Lyra wanted to scream, to run away from the house, but she was frozen in place.

She remembered looking up at her father, who was already walking away, leaving her alone with these unknown people.

Kian, Ace, and Jared approached her, and Lyra felt her heart rate increase. They towered over her, and she felt tiny in comparison. She looked up at them, her eyes pleading, but they just smirked in response.

"Well, well, well, look who's here," Kian said, grinning down at her.

Ace chuckled. "You're going to make an excellent maid, Lyrics. And we're going to make sure you work hard."

Lyra felt a knot forming in her stomach as she realized what was happening. She was going to be their personal maid, and she had no choice in the matter.

The three brothers turned and walked away, leaving Lyra standing in the hallway, alone and helpless. Tears streamed down her face as she realized that her life was about to become a living hell.
