3. Hybrid

Lucy

I shuddered as the deep voice echoed through my mind.

“Raise your number again, and I will rip out your throat.”

Whoever it was, they were violent. I heard a hiss of pain and gasps around the room. Soon after, I was dragged off the stage and down the hall again. The floor turned into carpet beneath my feet. Unlike before, they said nothing. I heard a door open. Then, I was tossed onto something soft like a bed.

The door closed behind me. I shuddered as the quiet fell around me. It didn’t take long before the door opened again. I flinched as two sets of footsteps entered. Then, the door closed behind them.

“She’s… very skinny.”

I curled tighter. I heard one set of footsteps got closer. Then, a large warm hand fell on my head. I flinched away. A soft voice hushed me.

“Easy,” a man said softly. “I’m going to take your blindfold off, okay?”

My jaw trembled, but I jerked my head. It was better than I could have hoped for.

His hands went to the knot at the back of my head and started to tug at it. I listened for the other person to get closer, but the other person didn’t move. Then, the blindfold slid from my face. I blinked, trying to adjust to the dimness of the room. I looked up and froze. The man standing over me was handsome and tall. I had never seen anyone like him. There was something about him that made me want to do whatever he wanted me to. My heart raced as I looked up into burning red eyes. They weren’t angry, but they were completely unnatural.

“You’re scaring her,” a stern, cold voice said from near the door.

“I think she was more scared to be blindfolded in a room with two strangers,” he said and looked back at me. “I’m Matt by the way. Can I take the gag off?”

I glanced over at the other man who was half-hidden in shadow. His eyes were glowing red as well. Who were they? What were they? I nodded shakily.

“Why didn’t you just do that first?” The other ask.

“Because it’s nice to ask,” Matt said simply. He untied the gag and pulled it out of my mouth. He smiled leaning down and getting close. His eyes darted over my face.

Then, he pressed his lips to mine in a short, soft kiss. I gasped and pulled back. He hushed me again, cupping my face. My face burned. No one had ever kissed me before. I wasn’t sure if the nervous feeling in my stomach was good or bad.

“Easy,” he said and licked his lips. “I’m going to untie you now, okay?”

I nodded, staring at him, unsure of what else to do or say. He was… being gentle with me, but one of them had to be violent. I didn’t know who it was. Neither of them sounded like that voice I’d heard.

“You’re worse than usual,” the other man said, drawing closer. I stiffened, watching every move he made as Matt untied me.

“And you’re being more rude than usual. Aren’t you going to introduce yourself?”

The ropes came free from my wrists. I rubbed my wrists and tried not to flinch away as Matt pulled me against his side, pressing his nose against my neck and breathing deeply.

“You smell so good…” he groaned and placed a hand on my thigh. “What’s your name?”

I shuddered as his breath tickled across my neck. His hand twined in the short hair at the nape of my neck.

“Why isn’t your hair longer?” He said, twirling a curl around his finger. “I prefer long hair…”

I leaned away from him, trying to get free, but the other man sat on the other side and cupped my face. His grip was firm, but not painful as he lifted my hand to look into his eyes. They were cold and still filled with that unnatural glow. His face was the exact same as Matt’s.

“Your name, little thing,” he said.

I stiffened at the nickname. I didn’t like it, but I couldn’t say anything.

“Be nice,” Matt hummed against my neck. His hand slipped higher up my thigh. “Might be nice if you told her your name first.”

“Tony,” he said and leaned closer, grazing his lips against mine. “Your name.”

“L-Lucy.”

He snorted. “It’s a terrible name.”

“Tony, be nice,” Matt said, dragging his teeth across my neck. His hand slid up toward my hip and around my waist. I tried to lean away from Tony, but Tony followed my movement. He pressed his lips to mine, firmly. I tried to pull away. My heart was racing.

Maybe I wouldn’t die, but I would never be the same again.

I closed my eyes and let Tony do whatever he wanted. He prodded my lips with his tongue. I opened my mouth letting him lick into my mouth as Matt tugged the thin dress I’d been put in higher until he could slip his hand beneath it. I jumped at the feel of Tony’s hand on my other thigh. He sucked my tongue into his mouth. My stomach fluttered with nerves.

I had never imagined anyone would ever kiss me.

Tears welled in my eyes. This wasn’t what I had ever imagined, but I didn’t have a choice. There were two of them. They were bigger than me. Even if I could get out of this room, those other men were probably nearby.

“Stop,” Tony said sternly, drawing back.

I sucked in a breath, panting as I realized that I hadn’t been breathing.

Matt’s lips left my neck. His hand remained on my thigh. His finger stroked the inside of my thigh lightly.

“Nice of you to say after you’ve gotten so much,” Matt said.

“I know you,” Tony said and pulled back. He released my face, but his hand didn’t move from my thigh.

I dropped my gaze to my legs. Tony’s hand rested on top of the skirt of the dress. Matt had hiked the other side up so high most of my other leg was bare. His hand was dangerously close to the top of my thighs. I pressed my thighs together hoping he would move his hand.

He didn’t.

“Given half the chance, you would have her here,” Tony said. “No.”

Matt sighed and lowered his head onto my shoulder. “Fine. It’s not that I don’t agree… but we should get a move on.”

“Lucy,” Tony said. “We’re going to take you home with us. It will take some time to get used to living with our pack, but you will be safe.”

I frowned, looking up at him. I swallowed. I needed to ask. I had to ask, even though I was scared and unsure.

“P-Pack?”

He frowned and looked at me. The glowing red of his eyes vanished revealing deep brown eyes. He leaned closer and stuck his nose against my neck, breathing deeply. He pulled back and looked even more confused.

“You’re… different.”

“D-Different?”

“She’s not human,” Matt said.

My heart raced. What did that mean? Of course, I was human.

“Hm,” Tony said. “Half, then.”

He shook his head and looked at me. “What do you know about werewolves, Lucy?”

My eyes widened. I grew stiff as my stomach started to knot. What was he bringing up myths for? Werewolves weren’t real.

His lips twitched. He stood and dropped the cloth he’d had draped over his body. He shrunk quickly. Hair sprouted all over his body. Then, he turned into a wolf with glowing red eyes.

I jumped back, pushing away from him and Matt as a scream escaped me. Matt wrapped his hand around my arm.

“Easy, Lucy. We won’t hurt you.” Matt smiled. “We could never hurt you… You’re our mate.”

I shook my head. Unable to understand.

“You were meant to be ours.” I gasped as I realized that voice I heard before was Tony.

“You can understand him?” Matt asked.

“I told you. She’s half,” Tony scoffed and shifted back into his human form, drawing the cloth back over his body. “We are alpha twins. Because of that, we share a mate. You.”

“M-Me?”

“She speaks,” Tony said, lifting an eyebrow at me. “You will not be returning to the human world. If there is anything of importance where you were taken from, we can have it retrieved, but you will be with us for the rest of your life.”

I blinked at him. I understood what he was saying. I nodded and said nothing. I knew just from how they acted that I was just going to be their shared sex slave.

I could only hope it would be a better life than living with the people who sold me.
