"She is now my personal Secretary" he uttered, with the burden of every pair of eyes on her.

She couldn't believe it, she hadn't yet messed up with the mission.

"I will pick you up at home, tomorrow morning, try to be ready, I hate to wait" This man, wow.

She couldn't explain how she felt at the moment, it was just so intense for the first day.

Was he serious when was talking about picking her up at home?

He didn't know anything about her, it was just the first time he had seen her.

How would he manage to come to her apartment? However, she didn't want to think about it.

She couldn't. Her mind was taken by the image she had of Daniel.

'He couldn't be the one. Not him.' She muttered to herself on her way back home. Unable to believe what had happened.

'I met him. In the most unexpected way. Daniel is the mafia boss.'

'How?' she yielded herself to a series of monologues.

How could she stop, she had changed a slap with the only guy she had always loved during all this time.

Such a hilarious way to meet after a long moment of separation.

'I hate him' she continued with her monologue until her phone rang.

It was him, Mr. Malcom.

"I am waiting for you at your apartment," said he, with a voice that was particularly alleviated.

"Okay," she responded and it was all.

She didn't care about what could happen, she wasn't alarmed about what he would say about her behavior.

All she had in mind was Daniel Brancöft.

She parked her vehicle after a moment of driving and inched to the elevator to find Mr. Malcom in front of her apartment.

They just looked at each other, and she opened the door, inviting him in.

"Why have you reacted like that?" he questioned as early as the door was closed behind him. He was already aware of everything that happened there, it was obvious.

"Have you forgotten about the mission?" he continued

She didn't reply, not because of impoliteness but, because she didn't find the words able to justify the act she committed.

She had been wrong, whatever the situation could be, she must gather her composure for the mission's sake.

"Sorry." that was the only word she had found and it knew how to appease him.

Mr. Malcom sighed and agreed to her ask for forgiveness. He had noticed she wasn't in any mood for discussion but he couldn't fancy the deepest secret hiding behind it.

"As I had understood, you got a new employer." He stopped to look at her reaction.

"I didn't give any answer to his proposal. I won't work with him" She blurted

Had he proposed it?

"Why?" Mr. Malcom asked unable to understand this refusal.

"Because... because" she stuttered, to find a reason worth it.

"Because he is violent, I don't want to be hit on every occasion," said she.

She knew that wasn't the justification, but she had to find something to say.

"I think you are more than close to the Mafia Boss" he mumbled with a pause.

Hearing that, her heart was filled with sorrow, thinking this intrepid dude was Daniel.

"I had been informed you gave a slap to the Boss, and I think the only Boss this guy has is the Mafia Boss" He reached the same conclusion, Kinder had previously found.

It was so obvious.

"You'll work for the Mafia Boss. What a bargain to snoop into his fucking business"

He couldn't understand her lack of enthusiasm but tried as much as he could with some joking touch to comfort her.

"It is an opportunity, a great one for your career, don't be silly and miss it"

At those words, her wit was back to her.

'I won't mess up my career because of him, I will find the proof it is needed to make him sink and put an end to his ring of Mafia.' She told interiorly to herself after hearing Malcom's advice, though with a loafer enthusiasm when she thought of making him sink.

Why being so weak? Why being so reluctant when it came to making him sink?

WHY?

"It is okay. I will fulfill this mission as I am used to" She stood promptly and went to look for coffee.

"Tell me a bit about him how he is, how he looks like?" he questioned with a sip of his glass, enthusiastic waiting for her response.

"He is just different from everybody. He is unrecognizable" she said with a little sentiment of concern in her tone.

"Okay. I will admit you are always in shock at what had just happened, have a rest you'll give me more details about him the next day" He stood from his seat and inched toward the door.

It was already 6 pm and he had to leave.

"Don't forget he said he will take you tomorrow"

"Be punctual and remember he didn't have to see you out of your character, Jennifer Denzel."

'Why was he talking about it, he didn't know where I lived, nothing about me, he wouldn't find me.' She thought

She was lost in the cascade of thoughts coming and going out of her psyche, she didn't know how to stand.

One moment she wanted to work with him for her career's sake, the other moment, she didn't want him to find her.

What was she playing?

She nodded to her chef uttering, and he left.

She was finally alone with herself, with her emotions, with her thoughts.

She entered the chamber, poured herself onto the bed, and her eyes looking to the ceiling, she remembered the brief moment she had faced Daniel.

'Always so handsome' she chuckled, shivering at the thought. She had forgotten about his changement to the dark side for a moment.

'I won't forget what he did to me.' she slapped herself on her cheeks to not continue to be so silly and weak as she was used to qualifying herself.

'I will...I will fulfill my mission.' She yawned, with her body already win by the slumber and she fell asleep.

The night wasn't long as she would have expected, her alarm awakened her, and it was already 6 am.

She stood and immediately entered the bathroom to brush her teeth and immediately wash herself.

After almost thirteen minutes, she was ready, she hadn't forgotten her lens. Her identity depended on it.

What would she do at the moment?

Wait for him?

'Stop being silly he wouldn't come.'

'He had left you when you needed him the most, things wouldn't be different now.' The little she-devil on her shoulder spoke to her.

It was already 7 am.

'Why would I wait for him, I will call Malcom that I surrender to this mission.' She stood angrily from the couch without any motive worthy and headed to the door.

She opened it violently and rushed outside hitting herself against somebody.

Though this time, she didn't get a hit, she felt a hand wrapped around her waist with a soft voice whispering.

"Is it a mania you get to always hit yourself on everyone?"

It was him.

She instantly shivered and reddened, lifting her glance to look at these emerald eyes burdened on her.
