Chapter six: I Don't Have Girlfriend

Chapter six: I Don't Have Girlfriend

Jessica

"What dress?" Jeffrey asked, stuffing his hands in his pocket.

"It is white dress, about knee length. Cap sleeve and sweetheart neckline and embellished corset, I believe it is from your holiday collection."

"Haha, the vintage white dress? I think I remembered that one." He smirked.

"You have to wear it for me sometime, I bet you look beautiful in it." I smiled, unable to speak.

He was literally taking my breath away, how does one respond to Jeffrey Craig? Especially when he complimented you?

We began the tour about his company. He pointed out many doors on his floor, from his agent and assistant to marketing and finance directors. There was a clean cut conference room, the vice president office and of course the design room where he went to present his collection. He told me how he preferred to design in his office space when he doesn't have a lot of paperwork and then presenting his design in a different room gives him more space and a way to make them look more professional.

I listened to him carefully without interrupting, many of his designs framed and hanging on the walls. They were his own drawings, his own sketches, all on display and I couldn't help but stare at the details. One could see the pen and pencil stroke, the different colors, it was truly incredible. I would have never guessed that Jeffrey had an eye for art and fashion.

"Hey," I pointed to a sketch on the wall near his vice president's office.

"This is my dress."

He walked over besides me looking up at the sketch that had the initial JC and the year written beside it. I could see the details he put into the flow of the skirt, the embellishment of the corset, it looked exactly like the dress I had.

"This was one of my favorite pieces."

"It must be fun designing clothes and watching them come to life before your very own eyes." He turned to me with raised brows.

"Are you interested in fashion?" I shrugged, still staring at the art.

"I guess, I have never really thought about it. I mean, I stole this outfit from my roommate because she has better taste than me." He nodded with a small chuckle, staring at me for what seemed like forever before he motioned with his head for me to follow him.

"Come on."

I frowned a little but quickly caught up to him as we walked down the hallway adjacent to his office and more of his sketches on display. He smiled back at me before we reached the end of the hall, he pushed the double doors open to reveal a grand room. Racks of clothing decorating the area, my jaw dropped in awe as I stepped inside seeing all of his pieces and not even knowing what I wanted to look at first.

"There are many summer and autumn collections." He muttered, shutting the door behind us.

"Summer hasn't fully moved into storage yet and autumn is slowly working its way in."

"This is so beautiful." I walked over the rack's closet and pulled out a black cocktail dress with a ruffled, one shoulder strap and red belt on the waist. Another one behind was a blue lace halter dress with rhinestones all over it.

"You can have one if you would like." I stopped in my tracks and looked at him in shock.

"You are joking, right?" He shook his head, a silly smile on his face.

"I am not joking, Jessica. If you like a dress, feel free to take one, no charge of course."

I stood there looking at all the beautiful dresses around me. I was also stunned that he would even offer me a dress for free.

"I…I don't know what to say."

"You don't have to say anything." He walked beside me and fiddled through the dresses.

"How about this one?"

I looked over to see him holding a red cocktail dress, simple neckline and rhinestones on the shoulder. It looked like a dress for Audrey Hepburn. I reached out, grabbing the dress between my fingers and loving the material used.

"It is so beautiful." The tag said it was my size.

"Can I try it on?" He nodded, pointing to the back corner of the room where the wall arched.

"There is a dressing room back there behind the wall."

I smiled like a little girl on christmas morning, taking the dress and nearly running to the dressing room. I quickly found it and rushed behind the door, shutting it and hastily taking my clothes off. I wore the beautiful dress but I couldn't zip it all the way. I turned to face the mirror to see it, the dress was so amazing and even though it wasn't zipped completely, I could still tell that it fit my figure perfectly, showing off the curves of my body in the best way. I felt confident in what I am wearing. I opened the door, calling to him for help.

"Jeffrey, can you zip this for me, please?"

I heard his fancy shoes clicking against the floor and when he reached me, he stopped in his tracks a little bit.

"You look so stunning." It was almost as if his smile couldn't get any wider.

I turned away from him, the blush already making its way to my face. I watched him in the mirror as he stared intently at my back, zipping the dress. His fingers brushed my skin gently and I felt the chill run up my spine at the feeling of his breath on my neck. He stared at me through the mirror, our eyes locked on each other as I felt his hands make their way from the back of the dress to my side, resting on my hips as his body came closer. I felt his abdomen connect with my lower back, the uncomfortable feeling rising in my stomach but it was mixed with this wanting feeling.

His hands squeezed my hips as I watched his head move closer to mine, his lips grazing my ear. His hot breath fanned the side of my face as his lips moved to my neck, a gentle trail of open mouthed kisses being left on my skin, causing me to close my eyes in pleasure and title my head to the side to give him more access. He caressed me and traded our fingers together, his lips didn't leave my neck. His hand came up to my chest and he squeezed my breast, causing an excitement between my legs. Surprisingly, I was actually enjoying it so much but I quickly stepped forward when he found the sweet spot. I nearly moaned at the feeling but hastily adjusted myself, rubbing my hands on my arms in an attempt to hide how clammy I was. I avoided his gaze in the mirror, knowing well enough that his eyes were on me and I didn't know if I wanted to look at him just yet.

He is twenty years older than me yet somehow he made me feel this way about him so suddenly. I don't like myself like that, I thought it was just a nice little friendship we were having but I really like the way he was treating me, calling me Princess, having lunch with me, even giving me a free dress. It didn't seem like too much to me, it was nice having someone show affection to me but it was bad that he is older than me.

"I am sorry, I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable."

I turned around, meeting his gaze finally. His purple eyes were so beautiful and they were definitely ones I would love to see every day. Goodness, he is an older man who had a girlfriend.

"I thought you had a girlfriend?" I blurted, quickly shutting my mouth as fast as I had opened it. He frowned, cocking his head slightly as he crossed his arms.

"Girlfriend? I don't have one." I looked down at my feet, feeling foolish. I knew I shouldn't have asked that.

"What makes you say that I have a girlfriend?"

"The girl I kept seeing you with, you went shopping with her and then you were at the club with her." He thought for a while before shaking his head with a side smile.

"No no, you have got it all wrong. That's Amber, my sister." My heart skipped.

"Oh my gosh, I am so sorry. I saw you kiss her and I just thought…."

"Jessica, it is fine. I am sure it looked a bit dodgy, she visited me from home for the week so I was showing her around the city." I closed my eyes, my eyebrows furrowing in pure embarrassment.

"I am so sorry, I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions."

"Jessica," he came closer to me again, placing his hands on my upper arms. The warmth spread from his hand throughout my entire body.

"It is alright, don't worry about it."

I pressed my lips into a thin line, looking into his eyes. Why am I feeling this way towards him? Was it so wrong? Maybe or maybe not. I wanted to kiss him so badly but I was afraid I would regret it.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" He asked, tilting his head ever-so-slightly and flashing a side smile. I simply shrugged, looking down at my feet before responding.

"Because you are so cute."

"I am sorry, come again?" He laughed, bending down and turning his head. His fingers behind his ears as he pretended to not hear me the first time.

"What was that?"

"I said you are looking so good!" I shouted, feeling ridiculous as he ran a hand through his curly hair, smiling at me like a fool.

"Interesting." I rolled my eyes at him, turning around so I could change the dress and wore back my regular clothes.

"Don't roll your eyes at me." I turned around in the doorway, giving him some attitude.

"Yes, okay daddy." I joked and just before I shut the door. I saw that subtle smirk appear on his face.
