Chapter 2 The Harrington Family
**"Ava, you better keep last night's incident to yourself. Your stand-in mission is over, and now I'm going back to being Mrs. Harrington!" **
**Ava looked at her with clean and clear eyes. "Understood." **
At this moment, Kylie raised her hand and wiped off the foundation make-up on Ava's right cheek, revealing a long and hideous scar.
Then the maid said, "Mrs. Harrington, Mr. Harrington is back!"
Dominic was back!
Kylie warned Ava with a glance before adjusting her dress and warmly greeting him.
The villa door opened as the cold wind from outside rushed in along with a tall figure.
Ava looked up and saw Dominic.
He was wearing an all-black handmade suit made of expensive fabric that had been ironed without any wrinkles or creases. He exuded an air of superiority and aloofness due to his high status.
He was also extremely handsome; his features were like those carved by gods themselves - even just one side profile could be used for high-end black-and-white photography shoots that exuded coolness.
It was him.
The man in the room was him.
Everything that happened last night came rushing back into Ava's mind: his heavy breathing still ringing in her ears while she trembled nervously under the covers.
She lowered her head in shame.
"Honey~" Kylie cooed as she tried to throw herself at him but he caught hold of her arm instead saying coldly,"If you dare lay your hands on me again or try anything funny then don't blame me for what happens next."
Kylie felt like he would crush her arm if she didn't explain quickly,"Honey...last night at the hotel room you hurt me so much..."
But before she could finish explaining herself properly he cut across sharply,"If anyone tries anything funny again, they will regret it."
Ava watched from a corner of the room in fear. She had heard that the Harrington family's patriarch was ruthless and merciless in business dealings - a person who could make others tremble with just his name.
If he found out that she had slept with him last night, she would be doomed.
She turned to leave but Dominic noticed something and called her back,"Stop!"
Her heart raced as she wondered if he had discovered something.
Dominic walked up to Ava and demanded,"Who are you? Look at me!"
His oppressive aura was too strong for Ava; her fingers curled up as she slowly raised her head to meet his gaze.
Dominic saw her black-and-white eyes first: they were wet, clear, cold yet alluring.
He frowned slightly because those eyes looked exactly like the girl's in his room earlier. His gaze became sharp like knives,"It's you!"
