Chapter 2

After some introduction by the head of the school, he said the classes we would all be in were of mixed abilities, there would be early morning routines, competitions, and mostly practicals to learn and strengthen our abilities. He kept on talking as May was lost in thought on how she could eat, go back to the dorms, have a cool shower, and sleep. She had some clapping which had brought her out of her thoughts, she didn't know what was happening as she joined in clapping, and she then realized the speech was over.

She walked quietly alongside other girls to the cafeteria. Describe May and it would be, the reserved girl, the quiet one, and many more you could think of. They had gotten to the cafeteria, May had Potatoes and stew, along with some fruits for lunch, as she moved out to the veranda for some quiet time. Before she could think of standing up, May saw Lina walking towards her, she had prayed she passed her as she held a breath she didn't know she was holding, as Lina walked by her just a foot away, May released her breathe, deciding on turning back to see where she had gone, she was met face to face with Lina, "oh damn it!" May almost cried out as she was startled once again by Lina. Lina kept on laughing out loud in her face. May was still holding her heart as she noticed the girl was blonde, with light green eyes, she was shining, she was hot, May had thought. After what seemed like ages, the girl said to May, "I didn't mean to scare you, but I’m curious”. May thought about what, but didn't bother replying to that, as she just wanted to go to a quiet place.

"It's fine, but just don't do that again" she had told the girl in a low tone. As she told her, the large doors to the cafeteria were opened, and then she was hearing whispers all over, "He's hot and", "His eyes, oh mine", as they all whispered.

May was about to turn around, some guys, hot guys as they all said walked up to her position, she had known they couldn’t come to her, they had stopped at Lina's track, the hottest of them, they had the same eyes, as he put his hands around her shoulders, May then decided to turn back.

"Who's she?" the guy had asked Lina, she then replied, "New friend” May turned back at the sound of that, "We're not friends” May said as she gestured with her face with a cold voice she then finally turned back. "Ouch" Lina had said as May walked away. She was about some steps away not until some ducks swarmed from nowhere, actually some idiotic girls who wanted to get close eyes with the hot guys, as they almost fell to the ground. As they passed, she straightened her clothes and walked to the veranda just to look around, she then sighed aloud. After a while, the head of the school passed on the information.

“Listen up everyone, I have to inform you, as these names should come right straight to the office”. Everyone went quiet as some were called from the main office, in which her name was a part, and so was Lina's. May had wondered "Why does the girl keep getting involved with her ''.

They all assembled as they were welcomed and shown what looked like another world on its own, a place where boys and girls were trained to be fighters, healers, foreseers, and many more, they were informed of her world. Where they had people of just her type, away from humans with no power as they could get hurt, they always protected them, they were evil and angels to some of them.

Helen Crawther's school was special because it was mostly filled with children from different realms all over town, May had said in her head, people who were born with all three abilities, warriors, foreseers, and the ability to control people’s minds. They were considered dangerous without the proper training as father had told her, not many were born that way, most and every child had just one, if you had all three, we were considered the most powerful beings on Earth.

May got back to her dorm, exhausted, thinking about all that had happened earlier, the way she had to pretend to be a weak girl, so as not to get noticed or chosen for a leadership role was the best part for her. She kept on thinking until she dozed off.

Next Day;

Alongside other students, she moved to the training room. May got chills as soon as she got in.

"Hey" May heard someone call at her from behind her, as soon as she got in. She turned to look at who, and just then she saw a slim girl, with ocean blue eyes, she had very dark brown hair, with olive skin, the epitome of beauty, May thought. " New here?" She asked May, "Yes, and you?" May replied, "No," the slim girl replied. It was obvious to May but decided not to say anything.

"Lisa Derry, First daughter of the third most powerful realm, Dakota Realm" Lisa spoke up, as they walked around until they had been told what to do next.

The loud ringing was heard in the hall they all gathered in, "Hello everyone, I am Becca Simone, in charge of the Helen Crowther Academy Training” Becca announced to everyone, "As we all know, we all here are special, most of you have just been experiencing some signs and how difficult it is, and how dangerous we are if we didn't get to train, that's why your parents picked the right place for you,” She continued. "We are to let you understand, most importantly train you to use different tactics for each ability, so you can improve, stand for yourselves, and defend yourselves mostly in every situation you all find yourselves in, so now let's have our seats and get into what we have for you today," Becca concluded as she informed them all.

Katie tapped her pencil against her desk as Professor Williams walked across the room, and placed a paper in front of a girl in the class. As soon as she flipped the paper over she buried her face into the paper, and her shoulder slumped. A young male behind her shook his head and tossed his paper over while trying to get up to leave.

"Lord please I wish for mine to be so good, an "A" would do for it’’, she prayed, May found it funny, as she looked around trying to get to see more reactions from others, she looked behind the first girl and locked eyes with the young male who was still standing, the way he looked tells scared May, his eyes were cold, and they held no emotions, yet they seem to speak to her, she wondered who that was, he was too young to have such within him she had thought, she immediately was feeling uncomfortable as he was still staring at her, she then looked forward, bowing her head down to her table. He took a step forward in leaving, but before he could take another, Seat, we all heard Professor William say, just then everyone in the room turned and focus on him, he stopped moving immediately, and held a cold gaze with the Professor for two seconds which felt it was taking forever before turning back to the seat.

"That was intense," May had said to herself.

"Well" May heard from her left-hand side, "You are one of the few not smiling," she told May. But May had ignored her.

“ALLISON’, we suddenly heard, "You did well again," Allison was so proud of herself that she was showing off her 300 teeth but was caught short as the Professor continued, "But you now have new competitors 20% ahead of you ``. May had turned to look at Allison, but this time horror filled her face, as she frowned. Just then, they were all told to stand up, get in groups and position themselves while they were assigned some comebacks for some training. Allison and her little crew tried so hard to impress everyone, as expected of her. While she was fighting her rival, May noticed her head moving to a particular spot now and then, and she then realized what it was. May shook her head, knowing what type of a brother she had, Allison was not what he would have ever wanted.

“Okay, we have come to an end everyone, make sure to practice and lie low, also report everything you find suspicious of anything or anyone around you,” Professor Williams said.
