"Amy, honey," she said in her high-pitched voice like an insistent ringing in my ears and left the two women following her like lapdogs to give her a hug from the position I was in.

I watched her through the mirror and smiled softly, not too forcibly, so as not to give her the wrong ideas.

"Gwen, hi."

"I saw you a while ago, you bumped into someone, didn't you," she leaned against the sink, as her minions entered the bathroom.

"Yeah, some idiot who wasn't watching where he was going," she denied and smiled.

"You don't change, do you, maybe they bumped into each other for a reason," she lifted the men.

"You sound like Lucas," I rolled my eyes.

"And maybe he's right, you are very lonely even though you hang out with men. And not just any men, right," he gave me a meaningful look, but I couldn't quite figure out what he was trying to say, "You have your best friend Evan, who is a man many women drool over and many are envious of you."

I frowned, "How, how come they're envious of me?"

"Because even if they try to make friends with him, he always comes back to you."

"We are very good friends, it's not my fault that I don't have a sexual desire for him and he avoids me because of that," I lifted my shoulders and she sighed.

"You're hard to deal with, but yeah. Plus, you're friends with a college soccer player, which means easy entry to his workouts and which also means you can be around Matt, for them, but," she rearranged her hair as she looked in the mirror, no intentions of leaving and I wanted to get away from her too, "Did I tell you I'm dating Matt?"

I looked sideways at her, "Everybody knows."

"Agh," she complained, "Gossipy people, how things fly."

I tried not to roll my eyes at her attempt to look dignified, but I knew she'd made sure everyone knew Matt was interested in her.

He was the quarterback at our university, it was impossible for people not to know that he was involved with her.

There wasn't a kind of fame status in college, but you got noticed somehow with what you did. We all found out about everything, starting with the fact that there were groups and pages, like the crazy psychopath pages, where big events were shared.

It was too big of a university and the students lived within it, had their stores and places to go. Fraternities and even a mall.

It was more than just a school where no one cared about anything, it was part of the experience of being a free college student to do whatever they wanted and be too liberal.

"You must be worried about the crazy piscopaths," I said and she looked at me right away.

"For God's sake, Amy, I'm the leader of the crazy psychopaths, they can't even try anything even if they wanted to," she clarified and I nodded unconvinced.

I was sure that she wasn't the leader alone, there were at least ten or so women that I could remember from the things they did and that all at once drew attention to themselves, so if they could try to sabotage her.

She wasn't very nice to everyone, let's just say, but it was amazing that she was dating just the quarterback, knowing the reputation Matt had when it came to women.

He had never been seen with women more than once and they tended not to be well known, in fact, appreciate Angels who then ended up being sabotaged by what old and new women who joined that psychotic group, looking for ways to get what they wanted with him. Or those they praised there.

Not only was the blond the only one on a pedestal for crazy women, there were more students for their different characteristics, there was even a brunette who was so tall that he had to bend down to pass through the doors of the classrooms.

It was unbelievable, but according to the unconfirmed theories of people of African descent, what he wore in his pants could look just like the owner.

I rolled my eyes.

Lucas enjoyed telling me all about what they did there, and although he too wanted to know about those 'unattainable' men, he was completely different.

Maybe he was both, but that's how I loved him.

"Take care, don't say I didn't warn you," I finished saying, before leaving for the door, but I heard his voice.

"I will, but you need to stop locking yourself up too. I know that underneath all those cheap local clothes, there's a hot woman you don't want to exploit," she denied and I tried not to launch into punching her for blatantly criticizing my clothes, but ultimately I didn't care at all what she thought or others thought, in fact, what she was doing for me was far greater than my hatred, "The end of the month is the college anniversary event; the soccer team fraternity is giving up their house for the event."

"How do you know that?"

"Matt, I'm part of their organization now," he smiled triumphantly, "It's a wonder, don't you think, it's like knowing the team's secrets."

"Yes it is, although I'll tell you right now that those meetings are sometimes boring when you're surrounded by drunken stupid men," I sentenced, drawing a surprise from his face. I had just confirmed to him that I had been to more than one of those meetings, countless practices, and that I knew the guys on the team.

I hadn't dealt with Matt much, but I had said hello to him a couple of times; so I knew he didn't mess with just anyone and that Gwen was on his list surprised me.

Although the blond was cute, I had no interest in him. Something about his American style just wasn't giving me away.

"Have you...?"

I didn't let her finish asking and walked out of the bathroom, to go back to my best friend; I knew I'd have her after me again, like chewing gum for knowing more things than I wanted to, but I couldn't.

Evan had made me swear to her that everything that happened in her fraternity had to stay between the two of us.

And Lucas.

But that part he didn't know.

I took out my cell phone when I heard a notification from him, so I proceeded to see what they had sent me the reply email of the job offer I sent; I was in need of a job and even more with how delicate my grandfather's health was getting.

I didn't want to have to leave with my parents again and I could never live with Lucas, Evan lived with his parents and I had nowhere else to go.
