First Love

Janna

I sighed deeply as I hung up the phone with Lana, Jake's mother. The anticipation of meeting Jake again after all this time surged through me. It had been a while since I left him, convinced that he wasn't my fated mate. Yet, after numerous failed relationships, it became glaringly clear – Jake was the one I truly desired, especially now that he had ascended to the position of Alpha. The prospect of becoming the Luna of the Crescent Moon pack ignited a greedy ambition within me.

"I can't believe this is happening," I murmured to myself, my excitement intense. It was my chance to win back Jake's heart and solidify my place within the pack.

I briskly walked to my wardrobe, my mind already racing with thoughts of how to captivate Jake. Selecting the most alluring outfit, I slipped into a form-fitting dress that accentuated my curves. I took extra care with my makeup, aiming for a seductive allure, and then carefully curled my hair to cascade around my shoulders.

As I admired my reflection, a devious grin played on my lips. I was ready to make an impression, to remind Jake of the connection we once shared and rekindle the flame that had been extinguished.

I grinned at my reflection in the mirror, my mind racing with determination. "I will make sure Alpha Jake falls in love with me all over again," I declared to myself, my confidence unwavering. This meeting was just the beginning of a carefully calculated plan to win back Jake's heart and secure my position as the Luna of the Crescent Moon pack.

As I brushed my hair, I envisioned the scenarios playing out in my favor. "He'll ask me to marry him," I whispered with conviction, relishing the idea of becoming the Alpha's chosen Luna

I chuckled to myself as I prepared for my rendezvous with Alpha Jake, relishing the excitement of my upcoming plan. However, my amusement was abruptly interrupted when my friend Michelle entered the room, her curiosity evident in her expression.

"Hey, Janna. Where are you off to looking so thrilled?" Michelle inquired, her eyes narrowing in suspicion.

Unable to contain my excitement, I grinned widely. "I'm heading to meet Alpha Jake. We're going to continue our relationship, and soon enough, I'll be the Luna of the Crescent Moon pack."

Michelle burst into laughter, her mirth filling the room. "You're joking, right? Alpha Jake already has a son with some unknown woman, and they're not even married. My cousin Stella mentioned it to me."

My laughter died down, and a wave of shock washed over me. "What? No, that can't be true. Jake never mentioned anything about a son."

Michelle's expression turned serious as she continued, "Stella said it's a secret within the pack. They're trying to keep it under wraps, but you should know the truth before getting your hopes up."

The revelation hit me like a ton of bricks, and I felt a mix of disbelief and disappointment. "But I planned everything. I thought Jake and I could have a fresh start."

Michelle offered a sympathetic smile. "Sometimes plans don't work out the way we want them to. It's better to know the truth now than to build castles in the air."

I clenched my fists, my nails digging into my palms as anger surged through me. "No! I'm the only one who deserves to be the Luna. No one else!" I yelled, my frustration and determination echoing in my voice. Michelle, taken aback by my sudden outburst, watched me with a mix of surprise and concern.

"What's gotten into you, Janna?" Michelle asked, her tone cautious.

"No woman is going to take what's rightfully mine," I spat, pacing the room as I tried to process the unexpected obstacle in my grand plan.

Michelle sighed, crossing her arms. "Janna, you can't force someone to love you. If Alpha Jake has someone else in his life, you should respect that."

My anger intensified, and I shot her a fiery glare. "Respect? No, I won't stand back and watch some unknown woman snatch my chance away. I'll make sure Alpha Jake sees that I'm the only one worthy of being his Luna."

Michelle's expression turned more serious. "Janna, this isn't healthy. You can't build a relationship on manipulation and anger. If Jake is meant to be with someone else, you have to accept it and move on."

I scoffed at her advice. "Move on? No, I won't accept defeat so easily. I've waited long enough for my chance, and I won't let it slip away."

Michelle's concern deepened. "Janna, consider the consequences. Pursuing someone who has chosen a different path might only bring you more pain."

But I was fueled by an unrelenting determination. "I don't care about the consequences. I'll fight for what I want, and I won't let anyone stand in my way."

Michelle eyed me with a mixture of disbelief and concern. "Janna, are you serious? You were the one who left Jake in the first place to find your supposed 'mate.' Now you want to stroll back into his life as if nothing happened?"

I scowled at her, crossing my arms defensively. "I don't care about what happened before. I left Jake because I thought he wasn't my fated mate, but now I've realized he is. And I won't let anyone, especially some unknown woman, ruin my chance."

Shaking her head, Michelle sighed in exasperation. "You can't just barge back into someone's life after leaving them. It's not fair to Jake, and it's not fair to this woman you're so worked up about."

I waved off her concerns dismissively. "Fair? Love isn't about fairness. It's about fighting for what you want. And I want Jake to be mine."

Michelle's expression shifted to one of pity. "Janna, you can't force someone to be with you. If Jake has moved on, you need to respect that. You can't just walk back into his life like nothing happened."

A sly grin played on my lips as I dismissed Michelle's advice. "Watch me. I'll make Jake see that we're meant to be together. No one else can replace me as his Luna."

Michelle shook her head, her eyes conveying a mix of disbelief and concern. "You can't just manipulate someone's feelings like this, Janna. It's not healthy, and it's not love. It's selfish."

I scoffed at her words. "Selfish or not, I will have what's rightfully mine. Jake, the Crescent Moon pack, everything."

Michelle sighed once more, defeated. "Fine, do whatever you want. But remember, actions have consequences, and you might not like where this path leads you."

With that, Michelle left me alone with my thoughts, her warnings echoing in my mind. However, my obsession with claiming Jake as mine overshadowed any rationality. I was ready to face whatever consequences lay ahead, driven by an unwavering determination to make Alpha Jake Lewis mine once and for all.
