Chapter 2 The Wrong Baby

Six years later, in Orgland...

At the Zelin Research Institute...

At that time, inside the laboratory, Trista meticulously compared the dense data.

Suddenly, the computer crashed.

Shortly after, the entire network of the research institute was invaded and paralyzed.

Outside, cries filled the air...

"It's happening again, isn't it? Aletta's two kids!"

"Aletta! Help us!"

Before long, figures rushed into Trista's office seeking help, accompanied by the countdown alarm.

Ten.

Nine.

Eight.

Seven...

Once it reached one, all the data in the research institute would vanish.

Seeing this situation, Trista felt a sense of desperation that surged through her, and she quickly dialed a phone number.

"Babe, please stop. I'm coming home! I'm coming back right now! Please, stop this!"

On the other end of the phone, a cute voice quickly responded.

However, the tone was a bit peculiar. "Isn't this our renowned healer and internationally acclaimed top perfumer, Aletta? What a rare sight. Is there something you need?"

Upon hearing this, Trista had no choice but to plead.

"Babe, I'm sorry. It wasn't intentional. It's just that the final formula for a batch of perfumes that are about to be released has been consistently incorrect, causing a delay of a few days...

"I'm heading home now! Immediately! Please, stop attacking the research institute's network. I'm begging you!"

The little kid on the other end of the line coldly snorted. "It's hard to believe you still remember you have a home. I thought you were going to permanently reside in the research institute and forget about your two adorable babies!"

Trista knew her son's temperament and tried to appease him with a sweet smile. "How could that be? You two are my beloved treasures! I love you both so much!"

The little kid on the phone was pacified and stopped operating the computer.

"That'll do. You have half an hour to get home, or else I'll continue attacking the research institute."

After saying that, the little kid hung up the phone in a proud manner.

Trista let out a sigh of relief and turned to the people in the room, giving them a thumbs-up gesture.

Everyone wiped the cold sweat from their foreheads and returned to their positions.

Assistant Anne Wallace walked in with files and couldn't help but burst into laughter.

Who would have thought that a room full of high-end talents would have to deal with the threats of two children all day long?

Trista heard that and shook her head helplessly.

Everyone knew that her children were quite demanding.

It was just like that bad guy, Matthew.

After that night, she returned to the Bryant family but was driven out by her biological parents.

Trista thought she would never have any connection with Matthew again in her life.

But who could have predicted that she would become pregnant, and with quadruplets at that?

Due to Trista's physical condition, forcefully terminating the pregnancy could have led to permanent infertility, so the doctors advised against it at the time.

In a foreign land, alone and with no relatives around, after considering for several days, Trista chose to give birth to the children.

Unfortunately, there was an accident during childbirth, resulting in the loss of one boy and one girl.

Now, only the pair of siblings remained.

Both children had exceptional intelligence.

Elder brother Boris Bryant had a calm and sensible personality, with interests in programming, proficiency in four languages, and talent in calligraphy and painting.

Younger sister Eudora Bryant was lively and active, following Trista's footsteps in fragrance blending and improving her medical skills. She often came up with clever ideas and knew how to prepare remedies for headaches and fevers.

Wherever they went, they were exceptionally endearing!

When Trista thought of them, her heart softened.

"Let’s talk later. I have to hurry back."

She took off her lab coat, muttering, "If I don't get home within half an hour, the research institute will suffer."

"Go then."

Anne chuckled and reminded her. "Remember to pack your bags. We're leaving for the country tomorrow."

Upon hearing this, Trista frowned.

In these years, apart from her achievements in the medical field, she also co-founded a perfume company named Zelin Company with her best friend, Nelly West.

Their formulas, developed by Trista's team, gained international fame, and numerous people sought to collaborate with them.

Originally, it was Nelly's responsibility to expand the subsidiary company in their home country.

However, Nelly's mother fell seriously ill, leaving her unable to divide her attention, so she had to call Trista back to help manage the situation.

"I understand. See you at the airport tomorrow morning."

Trista responded, somewhat frustrated, and bid farewell to Anne.

Trista hurriedly rushed back home, only to be scolded by her two children.

The next day at the airport, she appeared completely dejected.

In contrast, her two children looked incredibly cool and flawless, with sunglasses on their faces, resembling international superstars.

The children's beautiful features seemed meticulously crafted by God.

Their journey attracted quite a crowd, with some unable to resist taking out their phones to snap pictures of them.

Anne, holding her suitcase, suppressed a smile and said to Trista, "Seems like you've given birth to two remarkable kids."

Trista glanced at the playful children ahead and replied, "Of course!"

The children had good hearing. They overheard Trista's words and turned back, saying, "She should feel lucky to have us as her children! She often sacrificed her break and health for work."

Eudora, who always listened to Boris, immediately chimed in with a sweet voice. "Exactly! If we didn't take care of Mommy, who knows how she would be..."

Seeing that the two children were about to start scolding her again, Trista quickly interjected, "Yes, yes, you're right, my babies!"

As they spoke, the group boarded the plane, and during the long journey of over ten hours, Trista finally found some peace and quiet.

When they landed, still groggy and half-asleep, Trista asked Anne to watch the children and luggage while she went to the restroom to freshen up.

Of course, Anne didn't refuse.

After splashing cold water on her face, Trista gradually regained her energy and soon came out of the restroom.

To her surprise, she was greeted by her own son, Boris.

Trista was momentarily stunned.

When Boris disembarked from the plane, he was still wearing casual attire with sunglasses on his face.

In the blink of an eye, he had changed into a proper little suit.

Eudora, next to him, had also changed her sweet and cute floral dress into an elegant and delicate princess gown.

They looked exceptionally formal!

Trista couldn't help but laugh and approached the two, teasing. "My babies, we're just going to see Nelly later. It's not like we're attending a grand ball. Why did you bother changing outfits so formally?"

The two little kids in front of her looked at her with confusion after hearing Trista's words.

Was this beautiful lady talking to them?
