She is so different

Seeing Lily's treatment this morning, almost made Ryan not concentrate on his work. Repeatedly, he never focused on listening to his friend express his opinion in the monthly meeting attended by some of the company's top officials. Ryan's important position forced him to attend, which he disliked. Since his father chose to retire and focus on his hobbies, he has always been used as a shield to lead the company.

Ryan stared lazily at the white screen in front of him that contained the company agenda and vision and mission that they had just summarized. At first glance, the collection of letters looked like grass fibers rolling in the middle of a rice field.

"This is the vision and mission presentation from the marketing department. To Mr. Ryan, we ask for corrections. Thank you."

Ryan gasped in shock. His eyes, which had been closed for a moment, immediately bulged when the last sentence was delivered by his men. Rayyan's eyes, which were still blurry from sleep, he closed for a moment and then rubbed them.

He repeatedly took a deep breath and then let it out slowly. His eyes wandered around the room, shocked that everyone was looking at him so flatly.

"Well, the presentation was good. I liked it. It just lacked innovation. I've received a lot of complaints about advertising production costs, the budget is high but the results are mediocre. Maybe it can be minimized a bit. That's my only suggestion," Ryan explained at length.

Instantly, the room became boisterous after Ryan gave his advice. Many of them whispered while glancing at the figure of their boss. Ryan raised two eyebrows, intending to ask what was wrong?

"Sorry sir, the one who just spoke is a representative of the marketing department. As for advertising, that's part of the advertising department," replied one of the meeting participants.

Ryan's face turned red. He was embarrassed. It was obvious he was not focused today. His position as head of a department directly under the CEO made him even more faceless as dozens of staff giggled and laughed at him.

Ryan stood up. His flat face made some of those present fall silent again. Ryan's eyes wildly searched for who was still laughing at him. He walked slowly around the room and stood at the very back with his eyes straight ahead.

"Are you laughing at me? Do you know who I am?" Ryan said loudly. All the meeting participants looked down. No one dared to raise their face. Ryan's aura at the moment was like an angel of death ready to take the life of anyone who challenged.

"Alright. The meeting is ended. I'm in a bad mood today." Ryan then left the room without saying a word. The staff still in the room breathed a sigh of relief and started whispering again.

"This could be troublesome. Shit!" cursed Sean, one of Ryan's staff who was also his best friend.

Sean was forced to follow Rayyan to his room. Actually, if this wasn't too important he was too lazy to meet face to face with his boss. The proposal that Rayyan had to sign was neglected because of his unprofessionalism during the meeting.

Knock knock

"Come in," Ryan replied.

Sean walked in, closed the door, and sat on the chair directly opposite Ryan. Without saying hello, he simply handed over the proposal that he and his team had presented earlier.

"Sign it. My team and I have explained it at length, but you are not professional. You should be able to distinguish between personal business and office business," Sean babbled at length.

Ryan raised his face and looked at Sean lazily. He was tired of being given the same advice that his father had given him in the past.

"Chatty too, you are." Ryan pulled out the proposal and signed it. When he finished, he handed it back to Sean.

"If this is your household problem, get it over with."

Ryan partially slammed his body and raised his legs as high as possible, placing them on the table. He put his hands behind his head and closed his eyes slowly.

"I'm divorced, Sean. She left me. I was hoping that she would prevent the divorce, and now she's gone with a man who is also her ex-boyfriend," he said, starting a serious conversation. Sean, who was just about to walk out of the room, sat back down and looked pityingly at his friend.

"Lily, you mean, are you guys really divorced?" Ryan nodded. The corner of his lips twitched. He wanted to swear, but he held back. Sean chuckled in surprise; he too wanted to curse, but he couldn't considering his current status. "Lily is a diamond in the haystack. Why are you wasting it?"

Ryan lowered his legs and arms. Now both hands rested on the table, and his face was deliberately directed at Sean. They looked at each other for a moment, and then Ryan broke it off.

"What about Sarah? She's been waiting over a year for me to marry her."

Sean chuckled. His smirk curled sharply, intending to mock the troublemaker, who was unlucky to be his own best friend. Ryan often did something stupid without thinking first, but this was the stupidest, in his opinion. Out there, many were eyeing Lily as their partner, but why would he throw her away?

"Divorced? With Lily? I can't help with this one. Sorry, Ray, it looks like I'll be just like his ex-girlfriend. Chasing an angel who came down from heaven Or, we can compete later? Interesting, isn't it?" he explained at length. Sean cupped his chin and rubbed it lightly while laughing at the thought of Lily. Ryan's face turned bright red at Sean's ramblings.

"If you're going to make fun of me, you'd better get out of there," she snapped. The aura in Ryan's room instantly deteriorated. Sean stood up, but before that, he looked for a moment at Ryan's chaotic face due to his teasing earlier.

"Ray, I'm serious. If Lily had refused to marry you, I'd probably be among the men chasing her right now. Just a suggestion: you should be able to see which women are worthy and which are not worth fighting for. Excuse me," Sean said. He turned to leave the room.

Just as he grabbed the door handle, someone opened it from the outside. Sean almost fell backward if he hadn't held on.

"Hello dear. Hey, why is there a frown on your face? A lot of work, huh? Let's go for a walk today. We rarely go shopping. Want to?"

Someone, none other than Ryan's ex-girlfriend, came to visit his room. Sean let out a long sigh. He shook his head and continued with his intention to leave the room.

"Why didn't you call me?" Ryan spoke softly. He patted one thigh and told Sarah to sit there. Sarah happily accepted. She didn't care if anyone saw her.

"I want to make a surprise. How are you and Lily? Any progress?"

Sarah fiddled with Ryan's tie, then rubbed his broad chest wrapped in a black shirt. Her strokes were so sensual that they made Ryan feel as if he were floating. Sarah brought her face closer until her breath blew softly on Ryan's cheek.

Her strokes became more sensual and crept downward. Ryan's body stiffened; it felt like he was flying in an uncertain direction now. Sarah knew best what she wanted. One peck on Ryan's lips started their hot activities there.

Not to be outdone, Ryan also rubbed Sarah's back and slipped into her clothes. The light peck turned into a wild and hot kiss. Both of them seemed to forget where they were.

"Sarah, we'll continue later. I'm going to work first." Ryan cut me off first. He told Sarah to go downstairs and put her tie and shirt back on. Sarah looked annoyed that she almost got what she wanted.

"Ray, are you divorced from Lily? When will you marry me?" Sarah whined. Ryan stopped his hands from typing on his laptop. He turned his face to Sarah, who was now sitting at his desk.

"I'm not official yet, Sarah. Be patient; I'll tell you later." Ryan resumed his delayed work. Sarah came downstairs and stomped her feet in annoyance. She then sat on the sofa, playing with her cell phone.

"Always," she muttered under her breath. Ryan heard, but he just shook his head.

'It's so different with Lily.
