She was rejected

Sarah woke up in the morning with a glum face. This morning she was a little disappointed with her future husband who told her to go to his parents' house. Their wedding was just days away. One week from now to be exact. The plan was to hold the wedding privately without family and friends knowing. However, Sarah whined every night. She wooed Ryan until finally the man with the status of a widower melted.

The reason why Sarah was disappointed was because she travelled alone, unaccompanied by Ryan. Sarah knew that there would be consequences if the wedding was held openly. One of them is that the family will interfere.

"You're not coming to your parents' house? I'm scared to go alone," Sarah coaxed. Her hand brushed the edge of Ryan's coat sleeve. Her lips made a cute pout with puffed cheeks.

Ryan turned his head. Still adjusting his tie, he tidied everything by himself. Sarah, there was not even a consciousness to help him.

"I'll be home early. I have a meeting with the marketing department today. There was a mistake last week that he didn't have time to fix." Ryan kissed Sarah's forehead and then walked out leaving her behind.

Sarah snorted in exasperation. Her meeting with Ryan's family gave her a headache. Back before Rayyan was set up with Lily, Ryan's mum disliked her. Threatening her and even almost harming her. It's just that Sarah survived because of the promise Ryan gave her.

After Ryan left for the office, Sarah also prepared to go to her future in-laws' house. Many times she looked at herself in the mirror but still felt something was missing. Not because of her face, but her appearance and the clothes she wore.

"I don't have a dress, what should I wear? Besides, why should Ryan cater to his parents' wishes?" Sarah muttered.

Sarah racked her brains. Her mind led her to the downstairs room where Lily used to live. She entered and opened the door to Lily's dusty-looking wardrobe. Her eyes widened in delight, like she had won the lottery. Her lips smiled at what she found inside the cupboard.

"Wow, there are still Lily's clothes. I should try them on."

Sarah grabbed a soft satin dress in a tosca green colour. It was a beautiful knee-length dress with short sleeves that looked elegant. She inferred that this was an expensive dress, as the material looked luxurious.

Sarah looked back at herself in the mirror. She shook the dress and smiled.

"It turns out I'm prettier than Lily."

After the preparations were complete, he travelled to the Eldison family mansion. The family was known to be generous and widely respected by businessmen and officials. Their inexhaustible wealth did not make the family arrogant. In fact, they were too kind to competitors who did not like their prowess.

The mansion was huge. Sarah was amazed at the feel of the exterior which looked like a classic house but still looked minimalist and beautiful. Her smile grew wider when one of the assistants opened the gate.

"Miss Sarah, right? Come in, sir and madam are waiting for you," he said as he ushered Sarah into the mansion.

The first time she saw the interior, it was not much different from the exterior. Unique but still attractive. Sarah's hand reflexively held the objects displayed on the left and right along the way into the guest room.

Sarah gaped wide-eyed at the scene in front of her. The assistant who escorted her earlier disappeared, Sarah was left alone in a large room like a hotel lobby. But Sarah's smile faded instantly when she realised that what she saw was Ryan's extended family.

Sitting in the centre, Ryan's mum and dad and to her left and right were Rayyan's sister and her husband. Then on the right is Scott who came to the house that day.

Sarah smiled awkwardly and bowed her body as a sign of respect and introduction.

"Good morning, mum and dad. Evelyn and Scott. Ah, and James and Lane," Sarah greeted.

There were no smiles. They only showed flat faces that made Sarah continue to show her awkward face.

"Have a seat," said Ryan's mother, inviting Sarah to sit in one of the chairs.

"First of all, congratulations to you for successfully getting the Steward Eldison family's favourite daughter-in-law divorced from my son. Your intention to approach Ryan and marry him was almost realised. My family and I couldn't do much about it. I wanted to forbid it, but it turned out that Ryan was challenging," said Steward, Ryan's father.

Sarah interrupted her future father-in-law's words and smiled, feeling like she had the upper hand. She replied, "That means, Ryan really genuinely loves me. He doesn't want to lose me and chooses his happiness. Isn't that right, Mr Steward?"

A triumphant smile spread across Sarah's face. She had successfully scaled her future father-in-law. However, it turned out that her thinking was wrong, Steward was not affected in the slightest. Instead, he laughed mockingly at the answer Sarah had just given. Especially his wife, the one who was so strongly opposed to the woman her son was going to marry. She even looks cynical as if she wants to sneer at her future son-in-law.

"You are very confident. This is the difference between loving you or just taking advantage of you. No matter what Ryan thinks. Whoever lives, let him live, " said Steward.

Sarah's face turned red. If she marries Ryan, she will avenge all the harsh words of Eldison's family.

"Alright, let's have lunch. He said Ryan would be there after the meeting. Ah, Scott check the agenda today is the meeting over? "Let's go home," said Steward who was considered Scott.

Lunch will be held in honor. All family members enjoy food without the slightest noise. Indeed, the Eldison family is famous for its attitude. Not infrequently people who just saw him felt reluctant to be close to him.

After finishing, Steward and her family again invited Sarah to talk in the living room while waiting for Ryan who was on the way home. They all fell silent, Sarah was awkward and awkward to start a chat. But, he dared to ask first even though he would definitely be answered with a less pleasant sentence.

"Lane, what class are you in?"say hello to Sarah as she approaches Lane, Evelyn's son who is running around the room with a toy in his hand.

"Class 1 A," he replied briefly. Then the boy ran away again while babbling indistinctly.

Ellyah's eyes, Rayyan's mother narrowed. Suddenly her gaze focused on the dress worn by Sarah He looked back to see if he had ever seen it or if it was just his memory that was fading away.

"Where did you buy that dress?"asked Ellyah Nayya gasped in surprise and turned her head. His face was pale, confused as to what to say.

"I-this. Ryan bought it. It's beautiful, Aunty. Ryan knows best for me, " he said with a slow chuckle.

"Never mind, honey. Let it go. After all, it was Lily's former use, maybe it didn't fit or Lily deliberately returned it to Ryan. Who knows, the child will change his mind." Steward persuaded his wife.

The atmosphere was quiet again, but for a moment the silence was gone. The sound of someone's footsteps entering the house and getting closer to the living room. All eyes turned to Ryan.

"Whatever daddy says about Sarah, it won't change my decision to marry her. If you don't like it, please don't leave negative comments. Nayya is also human, she has heartache, " said Ryan who seemed angry because she heard that Sarah was treated unfairly by her parents.

"You think Lily isn't hurt?" asked Ellyah. Ryan attacked her again. He said to his mother, "Mom, are you not the one who forced me to marry her? You also ignore my feelings as your son. Don't I deserve to be hurt too?"

Ellyah couldn't say anything more. He held out his hand, holding back his emotions. While Steward still seemed calm to face his son who was already blind to love. I can't tell where the sand is.

He said, " Whatever you say. Daddy doesn't care anymore. I want you to fall, I want you to fall, I don't care. Don't blame the father who loved Scott more than you."

Ryan turned to look at Scott who was now smiling triumphantly to see the scene in front of him.

"Good. I accept everything."

"One more. Leave the house you live in now, because it is the House given by alm. Your father-in-law for Lily. Only Lily who deserve it and while let abizar occupied, " said Steward. He stood with his arms crossed on his back. One hand went forward and invited the couple to leave the House.

"Please get out of my house. Face your life, do not regret it, " he added.

Then, Ryan pulled Nayya out of the Steward mansion. Sarah was dragged along until the two finally stopped when they arrived outside the House. Ryan drew her breath and then damaged her hair rough. He doesn't know where to go after this.

"Ray, we were kicked out of the House? Isn't that your house?"whine Sarah. Ryan just didn't answer. Then he smiled to calm Sarah who seemed hesitant and scared.

"Honey, I'm going to find a bigger house."

"In my name, right?"Ryan is doubtful. She smiled and kissed Ryans face. "Thank you honey."
