Chapter 2 The Unwanted Mate

CHAPTER TWO

XAVIER BLAKE POV.

This morning would be different. This morning, I would be with my love, my beauty; no one was as beautiful as her, and no one was perfect.

And her name compliments her beauty. She was the perfect one for me, and I couldn't deny that.

For years, I have been making ritual grounds and going to other villages to find my mate, but I have never seen her.

I thought since Aurora wasn't up to eighteen, that was why we didn't match, and I waited, although secretly we met.

In the morning, I expected her to come, and I waited at the gate to see her sister in the car park before me.

Upon her arrival, my wolf started acting all restless, and I knew my hunch was correct.

However, it stopped, and I noticed her sister had left us outside. "Did you feel that?" I asked, seeing how to calm my wolf was.

"Feel what," Aurora asked. "My wolf was restless. It means my mate was near, and you were the only girl here," I told her as she smiled.

"I didn't feel my wolf act up," she mumbled. "Well, I think we haven't reached the mating ritual. Come on now, let's get you inside. We can talk before the time reaches," I said, ushering her in.

She was beautiful as she walked in. I knew she was my mate, and I could happily marry her.

I told her the next month but in reality, and it would be this month, maybe the next day. It would be grand, and I have brought the most expensive rings.

It was, however, funny that hours had passed, and both of our wolves weren't acting up. I didn't want to accept that she wasn't my mate. I wanted her to be.

Why was the moon goddess playing a game on me? Why would she do such a thing? I wanted her, and I won't accept anyone else.

I hated this trick, and it wasn't funny to me. I know she was crying when she left, and I have already destroyed half of my study room. "Fuck," I yelled, standing in the scattered room.

I couldn't do anything right, and I needed to talk with her. Maybe we could wait another year.

Maybe she wasn't considered old enough, as she recently turned eighteen, and perhaps that's why we were paired

"Yes, exactly, " I said as I entered my car, heading to her place. It wasn't long after I entered her palace that my wolf seemed a little restless.

I scanned to see and found Aurora in the garden, and maybe she was making my wolf restless. Perhaps she was indeed my mate.

I was so happy that I rushed to her. "Aurora, my wolf is restless. It's because of you, Aurora," I said.

"But why am I not feeling it?" She asked, looking at me. Even when she cried, she was beautiful.

"I figured it's because you have recently turned eighteen, and your wolf isn't seen as old enough. You know it works for different people," she sighed.

She hugged me instantly, crying as she did. "I knew it. I knew we were meant to be," she called.

"I know so, too," I muttered, hugging her back. "Aurora Aurora," I heard a lady call from afar.

Her voice was appealing to my wolf, making it act differently. "Who is that?"I asked.

"That's my elder sister, Allison," she muttered as I turned face to face with her. "Mate," my wolf echoed inside, and somehow I knew she felt it too.

Her eyes look deep inside me, and a frown creeps on her face. "Fuck," I groaned. "Your sister, she is my mate," I announced as Aurora quickly broke the grip.

The next thing, Allison had rushed inside, precisely the moment my wolf calmed. Now it made sense why my wolf acted differently this morning, and she did drop Aurora off.

My wolf acted that way when we first met, and then now, the reason I felt restless entering the compound was that she stayed here.

"I have to go," I said, leaving Aurora and driving back. I drop back at Christian's place, parading his parlor, unable to sit down.

"So her sister was your mate," Christian teased. "But it's not bad, like have you seen her sister?" He asked.

"She is busty like her figure is to die for, and besides, she has a business mind. She would help you," he advised.

"I don't want her. I want Aurora, Aurora is where my heart lies. She is the one I love, no one else," I yelled.

"But you don't have a choice now, do you?" Christian asked. "By law, you are to marry her, her child will be the only legitimate one to sit on the throne, and there is nothing you can do," he said.

"Besides, do you think Aurora had planned on giving birth? She adores her body too much to think of pregnancy,"

"Who knows, it could be a good sign from fate to pair you with someone who isn't self-centered," he tried reasoning.

"Or," he paused. "Or what, Christian, help me out here. You are the only brilliant person I know of," I requested.

"Well, you can have her give birth and then remove her from the picture," he proposed, getting my interest.

"You get an heir and end up being with the love of your life. It's a double win for you, and what more than your mate being far away," he added.

"The law didn't stop you from doing it. It states only the son of the King's mate could sit on the throne. It never said anything about her," he reasoned.

"Now you are making sense, but Chris, I would do more than that," I muttered. "I will kill her. I don't want her to become greedy to be the Queen," I proposed.

"That's far," Chris mumbled. "Far, Chris, she is the bridge between Aurora and me; that thing decided to be my mate," I yelled.

"She didn't choose to be, and I'm sure you understand how the mating works," he mumbled.

"I don't care about that, that Chris; she shouldn't have been born if that was the case," I said. "If she weren't born, then I would be mated to Aurora,"

"I hate her right now. I want to kill her. I want to make her feel what I felt, how it feels for your expectations to crash. She will cry, beg for me to take her life, and I will do so after she has given birth," I said.

"That's harsh, man," Chris muttered. "But as long as you don't fall in love with her in the process, I don't have a problem with it," Chris said.

"Because if you do, it would be hard for her to forgive you after you have scarred her like that," he finishes.

"Fall in love, why would I? I only have Aurora. My eyes only see Aurora. I won't love her. She will never receive my love," I assured.

Christian plan was a good one, one I wish to carry out effectively. I'm sure Aurora would be pleased to hear it. After a year, I can legally make her mine.

Oh, it seems far, but for everything I feel, the pain of longing for her, I will make Allison suffer it.

I won't mark her. No, she doesn't deserve it. She is not my Aurora. "Thank you," I mumbled to Chris, taking my things and driving back to the palace.

Thanks to him, I know I will sleep well.
