Chapter 5: Meeting His Daughter

Chapter 5: Meeting His Daughter

Lorenzo

I was left amused as I looked at the interesting girl standing in front of me. She was literally the first girl that was so scared to even look me in the eyes.

Yes, I am someone people are always scared of but none of them, especially women were ever so scared that they looked away from me. It was surprisingly cute to watch.

"Ummm….." she suddenly trailed off and then cleared her throat, still not looking at me.

"W…when do I start?"

"Now," I responded and only then did she look at me. She had a shocked expression on her face.

"Like right now? I didn't come prepared to get this job, much less starting it today…." She trailed off again as her eyes looked into mine but she quickly averted them.

"You look okay and beside it is not like you have to get a uniform or anything. All you need to do is to look after my daughter." I said with a shrug and she nodded.

"Speaking of your daughter, when can I meet her?" She glanced over at me before her eyes went back to either the floor or the walls of my office.

"You will meet her in a few minutes but first, you need to know the rules." She nodded.

I gestured for her to come over, she slowly walked closer to me and took the seat in front of me. Goodness, she even looks more stunning being this close. My eyes stared at her lips, so tempting. I wanted to smash it against mine but I held back myself, I don't want her to think of me as a monster.

"Here are the rules."

I brought a file out from my drawer where I had written the rules. I decided to read it out to her so she can clearly understand the rules.

Rule number one: You must respect me and listen to everything I say.

Rule number two: You are to address me as Mr. Ballmer.

Rule number three: Don't ever raise your hands at my daughter. Food will be provided for my daughter by the maids so you don't have to cook anything for her.

Rule number four: You work everyday starting from eight in the morning to seven in the evening and always be on time.

I read all the rules to her and made sure she understood it before putting the paper away.

"Do you have any questions, Miss. Jackson?"

"Ummm….yes. Where is your daughter staying?"

"For this week, you are to come to my office everyday from eight in the morning to four in the evening. Starting from next week, you will come to my house." She nodded.

"Any other questions?"

"I don't think so."

"Okay, then I will get Mr. Thomas to take you to my daughter." I picked up my phone and called his office.

"Yes, sir?" He responded over the phone.

"Come to my office right now."

"Yes, sir."

"He should be here in a few minutes." I said to her after hanging up and she nodded.

Can't she use her voice?

"Anyways, you will be working every day and I already told you what time to resume. You will also be paid weekly so you should be expecting to see two thousand in your account every weekend." She looked at me with wide eyes.

I was about to speak again but was interrupted by the door opening and Mr. Thomas walked in.

"You called me, sir?"

"Take Miss. Jackson to the room that my daughter is in, will you?" He nodded.

I watched as she stood up and took another glance at me before turning to leave but she stopped in her tracks when I spoke.

"Don't be late, Miss Jackson. You won't like what I will do to you if you are."

I saw her shiver a little, she turned to look at me before nodding her head and then left with Mr. Thomas, my personal assistant.

As my day went by, I couldn't stop thinking about her. First, she looked familiar and I wondered why. Do I know her from somewhere?

Second, she awakened something in me which any woman has ever done. Women flirt with me yet I don't find them attractive or even my body reacting to it. But she wasn't even doing anything to me yet my cõck was hard. Who is she? And why am I feeling this way about her?

"Well, I am surprised that you have actually gotten the job, Miss Jackson." Mr. Thomas said as he led me down the hall.

"Me too, he just took a few glances at a file in his hand and then said I was hired. I still can't believe I have gotten this job." I was a little confused but grateful at the same time. Now I can finally pay my rent.

"Well, that was shocking. Did he ask you any questions?"

"Only a few, he asked my name, age and then said you have the job." I shrugged and his face was covered with a shocked expression.

"Oh, really? I have never seen him hire someone without asking them a whole lot of questions." He frowned at his words.

Really? I knew it was kind of suspicious for him to hire me after just asking me a few questions.

"But anyways, I am glad you have gotten the job. I knew you could have done it." I smiled at him.

"It is only thanks to your advice, I guess. Even though I haven't followed them yet, it will come into use since I will be working with him from now onwards. Thank you, Mr. Thomas, for your words of encouragement." I gave him a genuine smile.

"No problem, Miss.Jackson

It was my pleasure." He returned the smile and we walked in complete silence after that.

Mr.Thomas should be in his early 50s and found him quite interesting. His personality was very calm and he was so polite and humble. He was also friendly to everyone we passed by, he acted so differently and he reminded me of my father a lot.

"And here we are, Miss. Jackson." He spoke, breaking the silence. I looked away from the wall and turned to the door that we were now standing in front of.

He opened the door for me and I entered, my eyes immediately scanned the room. My eyes gaze over the furniture, walls and the huge book shelf that stood in front of me. I was so busy that I didn't realize he was speaking.

"I only wish you the best on your first day, Miss Jackson. Good luck." He smiled and I nodded my head before waving goodbye.

I stood there and watched as he walked out of the room before shutting the door behind. I turned around and that is when I noticed a little girl sitting on the floor with toys littered around her. That must be her.

I slowly walked towards her, I stooped down and saw her turning her head slightly which indicates that she was looking at me from the side of her eyes.

"Hello," I said politely and waved my hands at her.

I wanted my first impression to be friendly, someone who she will not be frightened of. After all, I wanted to do my job well so that Mr. Ballmer would never have the thought of firing me.

"I am Natalie, what is your name?" I first introduced myself.

The little girl just continued to sit there with her head to the floor as she continued to play with her toy doll, ignoring me.

"Okay, then do you mind me joining you?" I pointed to her toys.

I thought if I get to play with her, she might just open up a little bit and not really ignore me.

She finally raised her head to me and I got a clear look at her face. Her nose looked like mine, her pink lips were exactly mine in a way. Her hair the same color as mine, her heart shaped face like mine in a way but her her eyes were same with Mr. Ballmer.

She has almost all of my features, but how? I never met these people in my life and we weren't related. What could all this mean? Anyways I am here to do my job and get paid so that I can be able to pay my rent. My job is the priority not this little girl looking like me.
