Chapter 8.0

Namjoon's POV

I couldn't get her out of my head. I could say she left a unique impression. First, she saw us and recognized us, but didn't make any move to talk to us. That was pretty strange in my book. Secondly, she was eating junk food in the gym. I mean, who does that? I found it odd and intriguing at the same time. It doesn't mean I'll try talking to her though.

She was strange yet intriguing at the same time. If I could speak of her looks, she is stunning. Very beautiful. I like tall women, but from today my preference might be changing. She's so tiny and cute, yet beautiful and fierce, all in the same person. Based on the two times I have seen her, it was hard to describe her.

Was it wrong for me to want to see her again? Even from afar? She was like a fairy and I had never seen one before. I have had an interest in women, but it comes and goes with time. Nothing really sticks out to me. Everyone and everything somehow feels the same to me. Well, I can't describe what I feel at the moment, but I could say she made a good impression.

After the day in the gym, I haven't seen her again. For the first time ever, I felt a longing I hadn't felt before. I wanted to see her again, willing to risk it all to talk to her. I wanted her to be my friend. But I have been burned before, by people I thought were my friends. I didn't want to experience it again. When you experience betrayal over and over again, it can become too much for anyone. It results in you putting up your walls.

I was not immune to disappointment. My life was great. People may think it is perfect, but it's far from it. What happens when you can't trust anyone around you? When you can't tell why people approach you? How does it feel when you can't completely trust anyone including your friends? Apart from the members and our families, we hardly have other friends.

Not from lack of trying on our side, but because we have been burned over and over again. Anyway, heavy is the crown. We chose this life, so we have to deal with it. I spent most of my morning in the gym with Jungkook. Jungkook has been joining me in my workouts since we arrived.

I wrote some lyrics in my notebook for an hour. Although we were off-tour, our work was not done. When we get back we will start working on some new songs. After some time I was bored and wanted some sunlight. I texted the others and informed them I was going downstairs.

They all agreed to go with me in fifteen minutes. While I waited for them, I started reading a book I wanted to read for the longest time, but I didn't have the time. When they said they were ready we went outside together.

"Where do you guys want to sit?" asked Jimin.

"I'm going to sit by the pool," I said.

They followed me there. We found a big round table by the pool. We all sat and ordered some drinks. Yoongi, Jin, Jungkook, and I ordered whiskey, while the rest ordered soft drinks and beer.

"I want to relax like this forever," said Yoongi.

"You'll get bored after three days," I said.

"Hahaha!" the rest laughed.

Despite popular opinion, Yoongi loves to relax and sleep, but he's also the most hardworking man I have ever met.

"This place is beautiful," said Taehyung.

"Yea" we all agreed.

Suddenly we were surrounded by loud music. We all turned simultaneously to see who was disturbing our peace. I didn't expect to see her. There she was, dancing, smiling, and drinking with her friend. She seemed so happy.

"Now they know how to party," JHope said.

"You are busy looking at their dancing styles," said Jimin.

"I can't help it guys. I can't just switch off the dancer side of me."

"They are pretty good," Yoongi said.

We all went back to our conversation, but once in a while, I kept glancing at them.

"What is that?" Jungkook asked.

"What is what?"

"Can't you guys hear that?"

"So familiar...."

"It's ‘Mikrokosmos’" I said nonchalantly.

"Huh?"

We turned to look at them again. The two girls were singing ‘Mikrokosmos’ at the top of their lungs. I was sure they didn't know all the words, but they tried. They danced and used their sunglasses as microphones. We all stared at them but didn't say a thing until they were done.

"They are definitely ARMY," JHope smiled.

"Who would have thought we would meet ARMYs in a place like this?" asked Taehyung.

"I told you we are known worldwide," I boasted.

"Today I finally believe it," said Yoongi.

The speaker was silent for a while before it played another song. The mysterious woman started dancing near the pool. Her body moved so beautifully that we were all hooked. We could hear the song clearly from where we sat.

She moved like a siren. Her hands, body, waist, hair, and head moved so beautifully, that we were hypnotized. None of us could look away, especially me. She turned and faced us. Her eyes landed on me. I wanted to look away at this point, but I couldn't. It felt like she was dancing for me. Seducing me. It felt creepy staring at her like that, but I couldn't stop.

We all watched her until the music went off and she stopped. Her eyes widened in shock as she saw me. It was like she actually saw me for the first time since she started dancing. Like a switch was turned on, she realized where she was and what she was doing. She got out of the pool quickly and talked to her friend animatedly before she left.

I felt confused. Did I also fall under her spell? I was already interested in her, but now I felt hooked.

"Wow" someone said.

"Yea" another agreed.

We were at a loss for words.

"I'm going to the washrooms, be right back."

When I arrived at the washrooms I found her hitting her forehead on the wall.

'What a strange girl' I thought.

"Are you okay?" I asked her, concerned by her behavior.

"Noo, I want to die," she answered.

I couldn't help but smile. Her voice was soft but held a lot of emotion.

"Hey" I tried again, this time I touched her shoulder. I expected her to brush me off, but she didn't.

She turned to look at me. That was progress. Her eyes widened again but went back to normal.

"Are you okay?" I asked again.

"I'm okay," she whispered.

I wasn't convinced by her answer though.

"Why are you hitting your head on the wall?"

"Nooo, well...mmmh, it's nothing," she said.

Her mind seemed to be elsewhere. What should I do with her? Was she too drunk? Maybe I can call her friend to help her.

"I'm okay. Actually, I'm perfect, thank you for asking," she sounded confident.

She stood on her tippy-toes, which was adorable. Looking at her now, she was tiny compared to my big frame. She grabbed my shoulder gently as if to feel the muscles. Her expression turned to that of determination and it confused me.

In a split second her mouth touched mine. I was not prepared. It was a sneak attack, but it felt so good. When she realized what she had done, she ran away leaving me standing there like a statue.
