CHAPTER 4 - To be a waitress
In the Sunshine Hotel, the crowd was already buzzing about Julia Sigmund.
“Have you heard that the new waitress is a radiant beauty?!” asked a waiter.
“Is she really as the rumours speak about? I am excited to meet a godly beauty!” claimed another waiter.
“I was hoping to have a woman to boost the hotel’s morale and attract wealthy customers, but we haven’t seen a photo of that woman, and now all the men are excited for no reason!” Several girls at the front desk of the company were joking.
At the same moment, the elevator opened with a ding. The manager walked out with Julia and introduced, “Mrs. Sigmund, please.”
Julia walked straight and the manager was by her side. Seeing the manager come out, the women immediately put away their smiles and welcomed.
“Make a cup of coffee.” Ordered the manager.
“Yes!” The front desk immediately went to make coffee. Before leaving, she didn’t forget to take a look at Julia. Where did the hotel find such a beauty???
“Actually, I didn’t want to bother you today, but I have to explain the situation from the next Monday,” the manager explained.
“It’s okay, I have time anyway!” Julia said.
As soon as they left, several girls gathered around again, “Who is this?”
“I don’t know!”
“Could it be a star?”
“It shouldn’t be, there is no way a star goes out without an assistant, and the way she listens to the manager talking to her doesn’t look like a star!”
“Walk around and take a look.”
…
…
In the staff room, the manager stepped in, looked at the busy people inside and clapped his hands: “Let me introduce to you, this is the new waitress, Julia Sigmund. You must have heard that she will join our hotel next Monday. She will be the hostess of wealthiest men.”
The men from the staff room were slightly startled when they saw Julia. At that moment, Julia introduced herself, “Hello everyone, I’m Julia Sigmund. I didn’t wear makeup today, so I’m a little embarrassed, everyone forgive me.”
The moment she spoke, not only the men from the staff room, but also several women outside the door who were joking around together, were slightly stunned. They all understood the meaning of words such as skin like cream, rose cheeks and lusty lips.
She had a big oval face, silky skin, and a pair of phoenix eyes that were wide and shiny like stars, and with blonde, long waist-length hair. She was simply a fairy.
She heard about the problem when she came; a popular hostess faced an accident and couldn’t attend the important event. A billionaire from a far country should arrive on Monday and she should be his hostess. So, she had to be prepared and offer her best services.
…
…
Once she returned home, the meal was very lively and the smile on Mr. Sigmund’s face never seized.
Mr. Sigmund looked at Julia and said, “I have searched for the children’s schools, and found them according to your requirements. The conditions are good in all aspects. I will personally take them there by Monday.”
Julia smiled and looked at the three little ones, “I see, it’s a school that my grandfather found by himself. You must study hard, otherwise, I’ll be upset!”
“Oh mommy, all of the three of us have inherited your cleverness. You and grandfather can rest assured and trust in us!” Edmund said sweetly.
“Great!” Julia laughed.
“Mommy, grandfather, we’re full, we’re going to wash up and sleep!” Eric said.
“Okay, rest early!” ordered Julia.
Seeing the tender look of the children, Mr. Sigmund smiled, “These three children are very lovely, like a gift from God to our family.”
Julia didn’t deny that the family yearned for family affection. The arrival of these three children had indeed filled the vacancy in the family’s heart.
After a few seconds of silence in the air, Mr. Sigmund said, “Julia, do the children know who the father is?”
Julia shook her head. “They didn’t ask.”
“Then have you ever thought about letting the children recognize their father?”
Speaking of that, Julia’s face became slightly serious, “Grandpa, they are the children of our family and have nothing to do with the Robson Family.”
“That’s what I said, but if Victor Robson knew about them... He wouldn’t let it go.” Mr. Sigmund had been worrying about that issue for a long while. After all, they couldn’t keep the secret hidden, especially seeing that Eric looked exactly the same as Victor, so there might be a leak.
“The decision depends on the children’s wishes and who they are willing to go with!” Julia still had that confidence. “Besides, he won’t be a good father!”
“Old Robson is a nice guy, I don’t know how his grandson is like... If Old Robson knew you had three such lovely children, he would have loved it, it’s just a pity...”
“Mr. Robson is indeed a good man, but he has nothing to do with my children!”
“I read the news that Victor Robson is about to get engaged!”
Julia’s heart quivered slightly. Even after all these years, when he mentioned that person, her heart would beat a little too quickly.
“Is it Monica?” she asked “That’s even better. When he has his own children, even if he knows about my children’s existence, he probably won’t come and rob me!”
Mr. Sigmund looked at her, “Julia, have you ever hated grandpa? If you hadn’t married the son of the Robson Family, you wouldn’t have...”
“Marrying him was my choice. Divorce was my choice. Grandpa, you never forced me!”
Mr. Sigmund always blamed himself for that. If it wasn’t for him, he would not have destroyed her life.
“Julia...”
“Okay, grandpa, it’s all over. You don’t have to blame yourself for my affairs. Besides, you can’t guarantee a lifetime of marriage with anyone. Besides, God gave us three such lovely children, isn’t it?”
Knowing that she was comforting herself, Mr. Sigmund nodded, “That’s right, no matter what, the children belong to our family, and grandpa will support you even if he gives his all!”
Julia walked over, took his arm, and put her head on his shoulder, “Grandpa, you don’t need to give your all, I’ve found a job now. I will have better conditions soon.”
Mr. Sigmund turned his head and looked at her.
Mr. Sigmund breathed a sigh of relief, “Julia, don’t pressure yourself...”
“Don’t worry, I will always listen to your words, live well, and work well!”
Mr. Sigmund smiled gently.
