August

I walked out of the alleyway to finish what they had started.

War must be brought onto anyone that chose to defy my orders.

I kill mercilessly. Something I'd never stop doing.

Stabbing the man in his chest, I watched as he bled out onto the pavement.

His children banged on the window of his car, watching in desperation as their father was brutally killed.

A hideous crime to commit. Tainting young children? What a monster.

I chuckled darkly to myself, watching as he tried to cover his wound.

I shook my head, stabbing him in his hands.

He needed to die right now. I had no time for this.

"Sir, it's two in the afternoon." One of my men said and I nodded,

Throwing the knife at the man's head and watching as it pierced his skull.

Getting into my car, I sped down the street like I always did,

Not worried.

What do I have to lose?

My parents were dead. None of my family members remained.

I wasn't the legal age to live on my own but who's going to stop me?

The authorities work under me. For me.

Rolling my eyes, I pulled into the school gates and scanned the parking lot for her.

I brought her here, so I'd take her back.

This wasn't normal for me.

You witness me kill someone and you'll be next.

I was about to kill her, but something changed my mind.

That's fucking odd.

But she's...unique. Beautiful and it's clear she doesn't know it yet.

Interesting.

She spotted my car and paused, wondering if I was here for her.

I rolled my eyes and rolled my window down just enough so that I can signal her over.

The sunlight fell into my eyes and I slipped my shades on.

I was trained to only fully awake at night. Sleep was out of my way.

Never had time for it, anyway.

Once you have as much fucking enemies as me, you'd never blink.

Not that I cared. They wouldn't dare to try anything.

That's what made me the way I am. The thirst for power over everything.

Everyone.

She got in and leaned back, letting out a frustrated sigh.

I raised an eyebrow at her and pulled out of the parking lot.

"Got invited to go somewhere. I was planning on stargazing tonight." She said and I nodded.

"Stargazing?" I questioned, shocking myself.

"Yes. It's the best at midnight. It's silent and you're left alone to drown in your own thoughts...that sounds emo." She laughed, covering her face.

I was amused. She kept laughing before she wiped away a tear and grabbed the aux cord.

"I know your favorite song." She smirked and I raised an eyebrow.

She clicked a few things on her phone before slowly, a song started playing.

I internally cringed.

'I'm a barbie girl, in a barbie world' It blasted and I turned it off.

"Don't." I warned and she laughed.

"See? You love it." She said, leaning back in her seat and humming.

I pulled up to her house and she smiled at me.

"Thanks for the lift, August." She said and I looked at her.

"Welcome." I replied, watching as she flashed me another smile before getting out and walking into her house.

I hated overly happy people. I always killed them first.

But her happiness was seemingly...tolerable.

I'm going fucking insane.

Focus.

I had five houses to clear out before the sun went down.

Then, the fun would begin.

I pulled up to my club, getting out and going inside.

I took this club right out of someone's hands. Now I use it as bait.

To lure and kill, who needed to be killed.

Going inside, I nodded at the bouncer as I passed and went it.

Music blasted, shaking the ground and I entered.

Eyes glanced at me as I walked past, nothing new to me.

I went to the back and opened the trap door, going down into the basement.

"Who do we have here?" I smirked menacingly at the man hanging on the wall.

"Please, August, let me go! I have kids!" He screamed and I chuckled,

Grabbing my gun and shooting him in both legs.

"Your kids are dead." I told him, getting bored at this point.

"You fucking animal!" He screamed, attempting to spit on me.

I grabbed a knife, walking closer to him and cutting his stomach open.

He yelled out in pain but alas, no one would hear him.

He bled out in no time, something I'd never get fed up with.

Bloodshed.

My mind was twisted. But society painted this sick picture of me and I became who they wanted me to become.

A menace.

I wiped my knife off into a cloth before tossing in on the table and exiting.

I went back upstairs into the main area where everyone was.

I sat down at the bar casually before my eyes caught sight of something.

Or someone.

She danced in the middle of the dance floor, attracting eyes that I'd soon dig out.

The way her hips moved was alluring and what she wore didn't help.

She wore a bralette and a highwaisted skirt. She paired that with high platform heels and her hair fell down into curls.

Licking my lips, I got up as I saw someone approaching her.

Swiftly, I moved through the crowd and got to her, wrapping an arm around her waist as I stood behind her.

"Hey! I know those tattoos!" She said happily and I knew she was drunk.

What the fuck is happening to me? This...possessiveness.

She turned around and hugged me tightly before giggling.

I froze. Nobody dared to even make eye contact with me.

But here she was, squeezing my torso like a stuffed toy.

Then she hiccupped and blinked sleepily.

"Let's get you home." I told her and she shook her head.

"Stranger danger, sir." She said and I rolled my eyes, throwing her over my shoulder and exiting the club.
