Chapter 7-Dangerous ties P1

Misha’s POV

I looked at him standing in front of me, his glare lowering to my chest that was now raising up and down rapidly from the scare and stopping on my pink panties which I instinctively tried to cover with my hand. After his roaming gaze scanned my body amusingly, it stopped on my lips and I could see the sparkle of desire only for a second which made me to immediately run and throw some clothes on, thinking what could have happened if I would have waited one more minute. Suddenly he said:

“I told you I’m coming over to talk.” there was a pause after which he added “I think there were some things needed to be said but you did not give me the opportunity to do so.”

I frowned at the idea of having a pointless discussion with him but in that moment, when his eyes met mine all I could see was regret combined with some sort of sick desire.

“You don’t take no for an answer, do you?” I asked coldly.

“No” he said with a smirk.

“Well, there’s nothing more to say. Would you like to follow me to the living room?” I said while moving towards the door.

“No” he told me and out of nowhere I felt two hands grabbing my waist from behind and his body touching mine. I tried to escape but all I did was provoking him even more as he turned my body around so effortlessly, claiming my lips gently but dominantly while his hand grabbed my hair firmly, the other being on my waist pinning me to him, making it almost impossible to escape. Caught off guard, I closed my eyes savoring the moment while his hand was caressing my back, moving up and down slowly, eliminating the last shred of reason I had left. His lips were soft and his tongue started exploring every part of my mouth, going in and out slowly, claiming every inch of it with its warmness. After a couple of seconds, as if waken up from a trance, I struggled hard to get away but he didn’t even flinch to my protests. Finally, when he finished, I didn’t know what to do or how to react. I just stood there looking at him and when I saw him smiling, I was overwhelmed by a sudden rage, slapping him as hard as I could, leaving a red hand mark on his check. If until that day he was just a man I began developing feelings for, now he was more than just an asshole, he was a cheater, and the worst part was he actually enjoyed it.

“You are an idiot!” I shouted after I slapped him.” How can you do this to me? To your fiancée?” I asked.

“Well, you didn’t give me much of a choice.” he said defensively, rubbing his right side of the face.

“Get out!” I shouted.

“Misha, I felt that you want it too, why do you have to be impossible?” he said annoyed.

“Because you have someone at the moment?” I asked sarcastically.

“So? People come and go; relationships end to make room for new ones and I would never do something like this unless I know I have a connection with the person I like which in this case it’s you.” he said, gently taking my right hand into his and kissing it.

I, pulled it out quickly, his simple touch burning my skin, while I watched him puzzled, unsure of his intentions. If until now I knew he was engaged and I had no chance to be with him, in that moment I realized that some things indeed can be possible, but that didn’t mean I would run in his arms and pretend we are together.

“I wish I could believe you, but you American men are all the same. You only want sex and then you go running back to your girlfriends.” I said coldly. The rage clouded my mind again when I see his head leaning back as he began laughing loudly at my words. I didn’t understand what was so funny about what I said and I slapped him again, this time harder on the shoulder.

“I’m sorry!” he said raising his hands in defense after I slapped him, still laughing “but I can’t reason with you woman.”

Without saying another word, I got out of my room and down the stairs, moving to the living room as somewhat I felt safer than in my bedroom. Seeing me leave, he quickly followed behind me down the stairs asking:

“Misha, are you mad? Misha, please say something. How can I make it up to you?” He then ran faster than me catching up and positioning between me and the end of the stairs, blocking the access point to the living room.

“You can do that by leaving.” I said icy without making eye contact.

When he heard that, he moved allowing me to get to the living room with a scowl on his face.

“Would you like some juice?” I asked.

“No, thanks. I don’t know if Brian informed you but your cousin was offered protection from the authorities”. I was shocked as I did not know who was he talking about.

“Which cousin?”

“Irina, Irina Preobrazhensky”. When I heard my cousin’s name everything was clearer now. Flashes were coming back to me with her phone number in my hand and her voice answering the phone.

“Irina, she’s here? Can we go to her now?” I inquired agitated. I was eager to see my cousin and tell her how much I’ve missed her. I remembered her as a child but I didn’t know if I’ll recognize her now, all grown up. She was much prettier than me when we were kids with long blonde hair and the most beautiful blue eyes, my mother used to call her “ray of sunshine” while I was the “ebony princess”, mostly looked at as a freak of nature in contrast with my beautiful cousin. Will’s voice made me snap out of my thoughts.

“Would you like to go to her now?” he asked.

“Of course, let me just change.” I said excited but nervous in the same time, thinking that finally I was going to be reunited with Irina.

I went upstairs, undecided which outfit I should wear when ultimately, I opted for a loose black skirt with a dark green fit tank top and a pair of short heel sandals to match with the attire. I wore my hair up in a bun and went downstairs to find Will sitting on the sofa browsing some movies on Netflix. When he heard me, he got up, measuring my body, a mischievous smile forming at the corner of his lips.

“Should we go?” I asked.

“Yes.” he answered, coming my way. “But before that I have to do something.” he added moving closer and closer to me until I could feel his breath on my face. I was scared the scene from before could happen again so I took a step back but he pulled me closer to him. Out of the blue, I heard a “snap” and felt his hand releasing me.

“What did you do?” I asked surprised as, for a second, I thought he tore my skirt.

He smirked and showed me a tag with the price of the cloth. I blushed instantly and snatched the price tag form his hand with a death stare, annoyed by his daring attitude.

When we got to my cousin’s house, I had second thoughts of meeting her so I was moving back to the car when I feel Will hand catching my arm.

“Misha, everything will be fine. I’m here for you, don’t worry.” he said softly. I looked into his green eyes and saw the reassurance in them. For a moment I asked myself why this man has such an effect over me? I turned around and rang the doorbell. After a couple of seconds which were like an eternity for me, she answers the door. At once I discovered Irina was the woman I noticed in the front of the house the day Will saved me. She was even more beautiful up close. Her hair was still blonde, cascading over her back all the way to her waist and her eyes were of a light blue, resembling two gems imbued with curiosity and a flicker of sympathy that could melt even the coldest heart.

“Can I help you?” she asked politely.

“Irina?” I asked.

“Yes” she answered briefly.

“It’s me, Misha, your cousin.” I said shily.
