In the end, we arrived at our destination. Well, I don't even know where we are. We walked down from the private plane and headed outside the airport. I thought it was just the two of us until I noticed that Mr. And Mrs. Russell was also with us as they walked behind.

The two guards who were also walking with us led us the way towards the black limousine that was parked in front. They looked around to check if there's anything suspicious that might lead to danger.

We then got inside the limo as soon as the guards opened the door for us. And then the driver started the engine.

As the car drove down the road, Mr. and Mrs. Russell were talking about the marriage behind us. I chose to not listen any longer because whenever I get to hear it, I feel a sudden irritation and madness. The only thing I heard was that the wedding will be held in two weeks after the full moon, and it was an early autumn wedding.

I don't really care now. If I can get out of here, I would love to do so. But when I looked outside the window, I realized that we had already arrived at another mansion bigger than before. Looking at it, I already knew that I wouldn't be able to find my way out of here.

When I walked out of the limo, the white palace was right in front of me. I thought I could only see something like this in a movie, but it was right in front of me looking so big. There was a huge garden in the front yard. And the entrance of the palace was a big door that was designed traditionally. I was speechless, can I even live here?

I looked around and I realized that we are in the middle of a forest. Yeah, it was not a city but a calm silent forest. I took a deep sigh and started following Brandon.

Mrs. Russell put on her brilliant smile and clapped her hands, "Shania, Welcome to the family! You are now one of the Russels!" Her name is Daphne Russell. I just found out his name recently.

I smiled at her and said my thanks, "Thank you, Mrs. Russel!"

She slowly walked towards me and held my hand. "No, honey. Call me, Mom from now on, okay?" Now I have two mothers.

We then headed inside the house and I think I heard myself gassing a little.

"Brandon, show Shania your room," Mrs. Russell, or should I say Mom, instructed Brandon. He then held my hand and pulled me with him as he walked on the stair.

When he held my hand before, I slapped it making him glare at me like he was about to kill me. So I don't have the courage to pull out now because his hand was so warm and soft. But I have my pride. "I told you, don't hold me," I said while death glaring at him. I can do that too.

But he just ignored me. Instead, he brought me to his room. The lighting inside was a little dim, blue in color for the room theme. There were also silk white curtains hanging on the big window. There's a balcony as well and the bed was so big it would fit 4 people. As I was looking around, I noticed that my baggage was on the floor. How did it get there?

I heard Brandon closing the door. I was not looking at him but I knew that he was heading my way from his footsteps. "We are sharing this room," he whispered. I was a little surprised.

"Really?" I replied.

"Yeah," he said and then sat down on the bed. He rubbed the soft mattress with his hand. He's teasing me again.

"Damn it! In your dreams!" I shouted right through his face.

He laughed at me again like I was such a hilarious looking lady. "You should take a rest first, and get yourself ready after for the family dinner," Brandon started to get serious. That's a good thing though because he's scaring me.

Since I was tired, I lay down on the bed immediately as soon as Brandon headed out and stared blankly at the ceiling. "Mom, dad, why?" I asked.

Despite all the questions in my head, that's the only question I get to ask right now. And they were not even here.

I slept and after a few hours, someone knocked on the door which woke me up. Feeling lazy standing up from the bed, I went to the door and opened it.

My drowsy eyes widened when I saw three maids at the door. I looked at them with a question in my face.

“Mrs. Russel told us to help you to prepare for the family dinner,” one of the maids said, and she was holding a make-up kit in her hands, and smiling neatly at me.

She looked at her watch before continuing her words, “The dinner is just two hours from now.” Her white teeth showed, and she looked kind in her approach.

I tilted my head and said, “Uh, I think I could handle myself, and prepare for this.” I uttered the words in a calm manner, with respect to them. I don’t have so much knowledge about make-up, but I can make myself look presentable. It’s a family dinner and of course I shouldn’t look like I’m going on a runway.

"Okay, Miss,” she told me and leave.

After I put on the dress I took the time to look in the mirror and appreciate how I look wearing it. I rarely see myself in this kind of look. It only comes when needed.

I got up and went to the mirror to look at myself one last time after I ware my shoes and put some make-up. I decided to went outside and I saw the maid standing in my door waiting for me.

One of the maids helped me down the stairs. I’m not used to wearing any kind of heels. It doesn’t matter the length of the heels, I just can’t. And by that I just needed to pull this off so I walked slowly and carefully.

"This kills me,” I muttered under my breath as I struggled to walk to the dining room table.

When I came to the table everyone was there looking at me. I even looked back if there was someone behind me but no one so I smiled at them.

"You look stunning dear!” Mrs. Russel complimented and smiled at me.

"Thank you!” I replied and smiled back.

Brandon came over to me and held my hand. I think he feels that I'm dying here because of my heels and thanks to him I got safely to my seat.

"We’re all here,” Mrs. Russel said and looked at everyone in the dining area to see if she was right. “Let's start eating!”

The food was served one by one. Almost all of their maids were holding plates with a variety of dishes.

When all the food was served by the maids, everyone began to take food and eat. I couldn’t eat and was busy looking at the food in front of me. It was overwhelming for my eyes. I can’t decide what I’m going to eat first. Everything looks delicious. "Is it possible to taste everything?" I mumbled to myself.

"Shania? Why aren't you eating?" Mrs. Russel asked me. I stopped thinking about what I would eat first. "Just feel at home and eat everything you want,” she said to me and grinned.

"You don't like the food?" Mr. Russel asked me this time. His forehead was furrowed. I don’t know why because he thinks I don’t like the food? Or he thinks I’m a picky eater.

"No, no, no, not what you think- I just don't know what to eat first,” I smiled. They laughed at what they heard and I laughed at them too. I decided to just enjoy this night with them.

"You can eat whatever you want. Don't worry if you can’t consume all of it,” Mr. Russel told me and I nodded at him.

"You have to eat because you're going to take your medicine," he added.

"Is Frank coming home?" Brandon asked his parents and I looked at him with a question in my eyes. Frank? Who is he? I mumbled and resumed eating.

"He'll be coming three days from now if I'm not mistaken,” Mrs. Russel replied.

She then glanced at me and she saw my face so even though I wasn’t asking she answered my question.

"Frank is Brandon's brother and we'll introduce you to him when he comes home honey,” Mrs. Russel said in a sweet tone.

I smiled at her and no longer bothered to speak. I focused on eating everything I wanted to. Brandon put a glass of water next to my plate. My head turned to him but he was busy talking to his parents.

After dinner I got off my heels and walked barefoot walking into the bed room while humming.

It just feels awesome feeling my feet on the floor, I guess I have to get used to wearing heels. I wore my heels again but I didn’t bother to put it on the right way.

When I lifted my head I saw Brandon looking straight at me. His eyes unto mine as if looking into the wilderness.

"Did you enjoy dinner?" He asked me and looked at my feet.

"It's great. I'm just tired. I didn't know that family dinners require this kind of extra preparation,” I replied and I yawned a little.

I'm tired. I walk dragging my heels to go to my bedroom and sleep. I feel like I can sleep any minute here when I don’t move and go to the bedroom.

"Do you need help?" Brandon asked and I heard him laugh a little. I glanced at him and he immediately acted as if he wasn't laughing at me or rather, mocking me.

"Don't make fun of me. I'm just tired, okay?" I told him and rolled my eyes. He just shrugged.

"As you said so,” Brandon told me.

He walks behind me as he watches my every step. Even though I can't see him I can feel his gaze with my every move.

"Can I ask a question?" He said so I stopped and turned to him, signaling him that he could.

“How do I look?" His face looked serious, but I felt that he was nervous so I looked at him and watched him from head to toe.

"You look good,” I said.

Shit why am I stuttering? And because of my embarrassment I brought upon myself, I walked faster and went to my room.
