Chapter 10: Cheaters
He didn't say anything more and ignored me. That’s good because I didn’t plan on talking to him either. He was annoying and had exhausted my patience. The whole afternoon passed, and I went straight to the restroom to do my business. After washing my hands, I left.
I went to the parking lot and saw one of my professors struggling with heavy papers in her arms. She’s a retired lawyer who chose to become a teacher due to her age. I approached her and helped her carry the papers to her car. I carefully placed the heavy papers on the backseat of Atty. Asuncion’s car.
“Thank you for helping me carry my things, Ms. Herrer,” she smiled.
“It was nothing, Atty. Asuncion. I’ll be going now,” I replied.
She nodded and smiled.
I scoured the entirety of the parking area, but my eyes failed to find Kyle’s car.
I chuckled in irritation, shaking my head in disbelief. He really had the audacity to abandon me here?
I decided to walk until I reached the university’s exit. I waited for a while until a taxi pulled up in front of me. I hurriedly got in and gave the driver our subdivision’s address.
A familiar car caught my eye and I squinted. My fists clenched, confirming that the car parked in front of a hotel owned by my dad’s friend was Kyle’s. The vehicle was facing me, and I recognized his license plate. Even the color matched.
I asked the taxi driver to pull over at the side of the hotel. I quickly paid him two hundred and didn’t bother getting my change.
The hotel guard opened the door for me, and I went straight to the receptionist’s desk.
“Hi, ma’am! Welcome to our hotel! How can I assist you today?” the receptionist greeted me.
“Does Kyle Quinto have a reservation here?” I asked.
“Just a moment, ma’am,” she replied, checking her computer screen.
After a minute, she looked back at me.
“Yes, ma’am. He does have a reservation here. He’s currently dining with his girlfriend in the VIP restaurant,” the receptionist divulged, seemingly getting carried away with the gossip and forgetting the hotel’s privacy policies.
“Girlfriend…” I muttered under my breath, shaking my head in disbelief. Kyle had truly disrespected me!
“Really? Where is it?”
“Oh, you want to go there, ma’am? I’m sorry, but you can’t.”
I showed her my ID, her eyes widening in recognition of the Herrer name. My father is one of the largest shareholders in this hotel, so the Herrer are well-known here.
Kyle must have been incredibly foolish not to check which hotel he was going to and whether I knew about it.
“Will you tell me where it is, or should I tell your boss to fire you?” I threatened.
She gulped and promptly pointed out the restaurant’s location. My steps were silent despite the two-inch heels I was wearing.
I leaned against the restaurant’s door, pulling out my phone. The entire restaurant was filled with red roses, and the place was decorated in a very romantic way. It exuded a romantic ambiance, complete with romantic music, and of course, the two people who I didn’t expect could betray and fool me.
I opened the video camera and clicked the start button, capturing their romantic date. They seemed to be having a great time.
In the two years I’ve been with Kyle Quinto, never once did he surprise me like this. He didn’t even remember our monthly anniversaries or our annual anniversary. In return, all I have ever given him was my greeting.
Of course! I won’t make an effort to surprise him, especially when he always forgets the dates of our anniversaries. I don’t know what came over me to let him court me and accept his proposal.
I don’t know where these two get their audacity to still face me. They cheat on my back and they have the thick face to smiled at me? Damn. I just want to ruin their celebration and slap their thick face.
I smirked when his so-called girlfriend kissed him on the lips. My hand clenched into a fist and I gritted my teeth. A part of my heart ached at the sight.
Even though I wanted to confront and slap the woman Kyle is kissing right now, I chose not to create a scene because it would only embarrass the two deceivers. I’ll let you enjoy your date, I’ll allow you to betray me behind my back, but I won’t give you both a happy ending.
After all, I wasn’t born a saint to forgive and just let what you’re doing pass. The revenge I’ll return to you both will be excessive.
I pressed the save button when I had captured enough of them. Kissing and dating in this place, huh? You specifically chose a location relatively far from the university so you wouldn’t be caught? But sadly, I caught you, and I will ensure you pay for your deceit.
I will exact my revenge. I’ll etch that in stone. I’ll imprint on your memory what I’m about to do. I’ll tarnish both of your reputations and names. You don’t deserve the little kindness and the complete trust I gave you.
Both of you are cheaters, and I will never ever forgive the two of you.
I really didn’t expect her to be the one to steal my boyfriend, especially since I’ve always known her as a reserved and quiet woman. It turns out her flirtatious nature was hidden all along, and she even stole my flirtatious boyfriend.
Yanna Elyse Siran.
You’re supposed to be like a sister to me, but you’re a thief and a slut. A man who can't be contented and a woman who don't have the word respect. She is nothing but a backstabber, a wrecker of a couple’s relationship, and a freaking fake innocent santa girl!
I won’t let you have the last laugh. I won’t allow you to be happy with each other while you’re deceiving someone, and that someone is me.
I hate them… and I will never forgive them. Cheaters…
