Chapter1 Encounter with Kidnappers
On the night before her wedding, Winnie and her step-sister are kidnapped, but her fiancé only saves the sister...
The kidnapper smirks and pounces on her, tearing her clothes apart.
Winnie Anderson is a reserved and virtuous girl. She still can't believe it and foolishly pleads, "Please! Can you wait a little longer? Daniel Davis promised to provide the ransom..."
The kidnapper sneers and dials a number, shouting, "Ava Anderson, your sister is really stupid!"
Winnie's mind goes blank.
Winnie hears her step-sister on the other end of the phone, mocking, "Did you really believe that your fiancé would come to save you? Let me tell you the truth, I'm pregnant with his child!"
Winnie's face turns pale as she asks, "When did you two get together?"
"He has always loved me. Being with you was just a means to help him start a company! Now that he's the CEO, guess why you were kidnapped?"
Winnie feels her limbs go cold and shakes her head repeatedly. "I don't believe it, let Daniel tell me himself!"
"He's in my bed. I couldn't resist him even when I got pregnant."
A heartless voice comes from the phone, "Winnie, you're of no use anymore. Have a safe journey!" Daniel says indifferently.
Boom! Realization hits Winnie as her face begins to turn extremely pale. Eight years of love turned out to be just a deceitful manipulation. He wants her dead for the sake of taking over the company! Tears start to stream down Winnie's face uncontrollably.
Ava sneers, "He even wanted to keep your body intact, so I'll make sure you die a horrible death. Have fun with them first, and then they'll feed you to the wolves!"
"Ava, I’ve always treated you like a sister. Why are you doing this to me? Our parents won't forgive you!"
"Do you really think our parents truly love you?" Ava sneers.
Winnie freezes. What does she mean by that?
However, before she can ponder further, the kidnapper begins to drag her deep into the mountains!
They press down on her with wicked smiles.
Winnie trembles in fear, unwilling to accept it!
Is she really going to be played to death by Daniel and Ava’s scheme, by these people?
No way!
Suddenly, she notices a black car parked down the hill, right by the roadside in the darkness. The car door seems to be open strangely, and there's a man seated in the backseat. His tall silhouette is blurred, but the atmosphere feels different, clearly tense and suppressed.
Summoning all her strength, she forcefully breaks free from the kidnapper, rolls down the mountain, and rushes toward the car.
Desperately pleading, she asks, "Sir, can you let me in? Could I get in the car to hide for a while?"
"Go away," the man with cold, narrowed eyes breathed heavily, warning.
Meanwhile, the kidnappers were catching up from behind!
"Someone is after me, sir, please!" Winnie clung to his thigh out of desperation and climbed up, closing the car door behind her.
Her trembling body kept rubbing against the man's trousers unconsciously.
In the darkness, his bloodthirsty eyes suddenly opened, and the man growled, "Aren't you getting down?"
"I can't get down!" She hurriedly tried to climb to the front to drive.
The man smirked coldly, "Then don't regret it!" As he said that, the man pulled her back.
Winnie was dumbfounded, she stared with wide eyes and cried.
Gradually, darkness overwhelmed her.
She didn't know how long had passed until she slowly regained consciousness...
The man was still asleep, and it wasn't yet dawn.
Winnie picked up her clothes and quickly escaped from the car. That night, she escaped from the kidnappers but lost the most precious thing! And to a stranger nonetheless.
Winnie wiped the corners of her eyes sorrowfully, not daring to stay or turn back to look at the man in the car.
Ten days later, Winnie, barely alive, finally returned to Lymington and the Anderson family.
She had no money when she fled from the car, and along the way, she endured hunger and cold, only left with half of her life.
Winnie clenched her fists. In these ten days, she hadn't seen any news of her father searching for her.
Ava said that their father didn't love her at all. And recalling the unfair treatment she had received since childhood... Winnie bit her lip tightly.
She didn't believe it. She came back risking her life to question everything.
Winnie walked coldly into the back door of the Anderson family home and before she even stepped into the house, she heard an argument in the living room.
"She's dead, and we haven't found the body. How can we be at ease?" Her stepmother, Sophia Anderson, sounded worried.
Ava’s tone was sinister as she said, "Don't worry about that; we only care about the money she left behind."
"Aren’t you being too harsh?" came her father's indifferent voice.
Trembling, Winnie slipped and fell to the ground. Her expressionless face felt bone-chillingly cold. She had fantasized about her father's guilt and concern for her safety, and about her stepmother and Ava's constant worry.
But she never expected that they only thought about exploiting her value after her death.
"What's harsh, my dear? You were the one who wanted to groom Winnie for the sake of protecting Ava!
"Besides, think about how we treated her mother back then. If Winnie is still alive and discovers your secret..."
"Enough! If she's not dead, I’ll make sure she dies right here, today!" Matthew Anderson's voice sounded far from being compassionate as a father.
"Next, let's smear her reputation. Ava and Daniel will take over her company. The things left by her grandfather will belong to me," her father continued.
"They're as good as gone, as well as her uncle. They'll be dealt with sooner or later..."
‘It seems hell is empty, and all the devils are here,’ Winnie thought bitterly to herself as she bit her lip, restraining herself from rushing in and fighting desperately.
Terror and overwhelming anger caused intense pain in her abdomen. She understood now that there was something behind her mother's death, a hidden motive, and even more so, her own origins were suspicious.
She couldn't die here!
Winnie's heart was wrenching. Holding her stomach, she ran out and hailed a taxi, saying, "Take me to the hospital..."
"On tonight's broadcast, the Anderson family... Winnie Anderson... Suspected of having multiple affairs. She was killed by a lover in the mountains. Her family is devastated and desperately searching for her body..." The radio in the car was playing.
Winnie fell silent for a moment. A cold smile played on her lips.
She had long awaited news of her family searching for her. But they twisted the truth to pour dirt on her 'death,' didn't they? They reversed right and wrong! It was all so that the awful cheating couple, Daniel and Ava, could rightfully take everything from her!
A hatred so fierce began to stir within her. She had to keep herself alive. She wanted revenge!
"Miss Anderson?!" The driver shouted as he saw her fainting. "Why is this girl so badly injured?"
Winnie faintly heard the doctor rushing over...
When she woke up again, Winnie found a needle in the back of her hand.
The doctor came over with a test result and was surprised. "Miss Anderson, your HCG levels are high. This proves that not only are you injured, but you are also pregnant!"
Winnie stiffened, as if struck by lightning. "Doctor...what did you say?"
"It's an early pregnancy of less than two weeks. Isn't your boyfriend here with you?"
Winnie's cherry lips turned pale. It had to be the rapist from ten days ago in the dark night! Why was she so unlucky to end up pregnant?
Seeing her reaction, the doctor seemed to have understood what happened. "Do you want to have an abortion? I can help you make an appointment for the procedure..."
"No one is allowed to touch my baby!"
Suddenly, a group of people stormed into the emergency room.
The leader was an impeccably dressed man, who directly kicked the doctor out.
He turned and politely nodded at Winnie, saying, "Miss Anderson, you're pregnant, right? Please come with us."
Winnie felt uneasy. "Who are you?"
"We represent the father of the child you are carrying. Please come with us!"
